"Thank you so much for the kind review. You were a pleasure to work with and we would be happy to work with you in the future if any of our services would be of help to you."
"We greatly appreciate all work that comes our direction especially from those who have trusted and depended on our services before. Our focus is always on professionalism, dependability, communication and quality of work. We know we are not the cheapest service provider out there however we pride ourselves on standing behind the work we do. We believe we are competitively priced compared to similar sized companies."
"In regards to repair work many are insistent on a set price for the work however repair work can be difficult to price fairly when there is uncertainty. Most repair jobs we offer on a time and materials fee to offer the most fair price to both parties involved. When we bid replacement or new installations we can always give a fair, set price. Our intention is not to gouge potential clients but provide a fair service in order to meet their needs. We appreciate all inquires and no job is too small."
"Thank you so much for the kind review! We are so happy you are pleased with the final project. We strive to treat each project individually and help our clients be successful with their landscape ideas as well as our own!"
"The tight quarters for this demo job challenged our equipment operating skills and our ability to be precise! The project would have been extremely difficult by hand only. We appreciate our client's confidence in our abilities and hope to be considered for any future work. Thank you for the positive review!"
"This small project was equally as challenging and enjoyable as any others we do. We are often asked is a project is too small, and honestly, we don't care about the size. The biggest challenge with smaller projects usually revolves around efficiency, so competitive pricing can be a hurdle. This homeowner expressed some fears of working with contractors and having unknown people in the yard right out of the gate. We were able to minimize the uneasiness by establishing that communication is of utmost importance to us (and extremely important in any project). There are many variations of the processes in contracting from company to company and one thing I've found over the years is almost every prospective client has a contractor horror story and almost every contractor has a client horror story. We've committed to avoiding these issues as it usually stems from lack of proper communication. It's been a few years since we installed this project and as I've commented in other reviews, I'd love to see the project since it's had some time to mature, especially since it was mostly (or possibly all) California natives. In retrospect, if there was one thing I may have done different about this project, it would have been choosing a different headerboard material."
"This was another great job to be a part of. The clients were super kind and receptive to minor changes/options that did not change the integrity of the design they had produced. There was quite a bit of grading and drainage required which is sometimes challenging in the winter months but the clients were very flexible and understanding of any minor delays. Having been 2 years since installing, I'd love to see how the landscape has matured (even though we did not actually develop the plant design- installed only). This is common considering we always see the landscape in its fresh/young state but a truly "good" landscape job cannot really be assessed until it has stood the test of time."
"This job turned into much more than a drainage system although the drainage was the primary focus in designing a functional space. We ended up removing a tired/rotten deck and wood retaining wall and installing a stackable block wall along with a paver patio that minimized awkward grade transitions. These folks were extremely kind and receptive to ideas that helped their money go a bit further than just simply repairing the drain and leaving the yard in the condition it was. I am grateful for the patience with schedule and trust in our ability to create solutions. Even though it has now been a couple years since finishing this project, I am certain the drain (and everything else) we installed is still functioning as intended- preventing any water from entering the home via the landscape even in an uncommonly wet winter for our area."
"This was another great project to be a part of. Often, the people you work with define how well a project will go. The client had some initial concerns with how the work would be performed due to nearby utilities and also had a fairly good idea of what she wanted. We were able gain her trust and put her mind at ease with some of her concerns in terms of how the work would be performed and what she would be left with. We designed a simple, low water use landscape in the main area of the front yard to which included removing all of the turf area and the remaining stump/roots left behind from the tree removal that took place prior to our meeting the client. We were able to address all of the utility, irrigation and drainage concerns as well as increase the curb appeal without going overboard. The client was very communicative throughout the process and accommodating of our busy schedule, which we greatly appreciated. All in all, the project went smooth even though we had to deal with less than ideal working conditions due to rain. I look forward to an ongoing relationship with the client for future landscape needs."
Thanks again Erik, Keri and crew!
"This was an excellent project to be involved with from start to finish. I got a great vibe from the Owners at our first meeting and was excited to have the opportunity to develop a new landscape in a good size space. The clients were clear about their needs/desires and very receptive to design/layout suggestions to best fit the space for aesthetics and function. The use of soil mounding, the water feature, boulders and a long creek bed really allowed the area to take on a very natural feel, supporting the turtle habitat that was a key component of the project. I am very pleased with how things came together in incorporating the "landscape" with the remaining features/structures in the yard (basketball court, fencing, small trees) while still allowing enough space to create a decomposed granite road for access to different areas of the property. We completed this project about one year ago (for some reason Angie's List stopped sending me notices when I had new reviews, as I try to respond to each one) and I was very pleased earlier this year when I received photos and comments from the client regarding their happiness with how things filled in after the dormant season. That is the most rewarding part of what we do and it's exceptionally nice to know after time has passed. I look forward to the possibility of working with these great people again in developing the next section of property and seeing how things have matured from the initial project."
"We appreciate the work. This irrigation system was in dire need of design improvement, however we were asked to simply repair per existing design. The communication with the customer was a little bit difficult and we were very flexible, courteous and accommodating for her needs even though our return trip was not any fault of our own."

"We appreciate the opportunity and certainly hoped to get the work but understand we cannot win them all. We hope your project came out per your expectations and we look forward to the opportunity to work with you in the future."
"This was a great project to update all of the front yard concrete, front fence returns and landscape. Again, we had some weather delays but stayed on schedule relatively well for the time of year. This one was a little bit more pressing to stay on schedule for, due to the fact that we had removed all of the front and side yard concrete. The residents dealt with plywood "walkways" to enter their home for over a week. We were given full trust to design and implement a plan that would allow for uniformity, curb appeal and function. The concrete work included driveway, front entry plus walkway and RV/side yard area. I am pleased with the outcome and look forward to seeing the landscape mature, especially in the island at the front of the house and adjacent to the creek bed down one side of the house. We established creek bed(s) to double as drainage collection/relief locations as well as aesthetic features to create a fluid and natural looking landscape. Moss rock boulders added texture and aesthetic appeal as natural outcroppings in various areas throughout the landscape. It was a fun project to see develop from start to finish. We really appreciate the work, trust and patience and would love to work with you again for any future needs."
His crew was prompt and professional, honestly I was impressed. One of the deliveries of rock was dropped by their supplier at the wrong address, half a block down, but the crew moved the 2 cubic meters and cleaned in front of the neighbors house the same day.
They main reason for the project was to eliminate the pools (sometimes lakes) of water that would form in various spots of our backyard due to poor grading and drainage. After 3" of rain in 2 days I am happy to report that no water collected at all during the storm, everything drained perfectly.
Erik and crew did a wonderful job and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!
"Thank you for the great review! I am equally as happy to know we were able to correct the drainage concerns, especially with a tricky tie-in elevation of one pipe to avoid removing concrete. This project was relatively straightforward. The biggest challenge was weather which delayed us on a couple occasions and definitely slowed us down with the sticky/muddy conditions. We appreciated the customers patience and understanding that it was out of our control and we pushed to get the work done as quickly as practical to ensure a proper outcome. We ended up having to pour concrete on a Saturday which we try to avoid in general to prevent disturbing our customers weekends and waking up the neighborhood. As part of this project we also coordinated and had a small part in the installation of new circuit for a hot tub installation. The customer (who works out of the country and had very limited time on site throughout the project) was very communicative, trusted us to coordinate with our electrician and stub conduits in specific locations to facilitate the hot tub installation. All in all, everything came together nicely and we are very thankful for the work. We would love to work together again for any future needs/improvements."
"Thank you so much for the kind review and the work itself. We are thrilled to know you are happy and enjoying the landscape. It is very gratifying to us to be able to achieve or exceed our customers expectations initially and know things are still as desired after several seasons. This was a great small space to convert from lawn to plantings with the remaining mature trees to build around. Thanks again! We would love to work with you in the future for any other landscape needs."
"It is unfortunate that this is posted on our page as I have no record of working for you or at your property. I don't recognize your name and believe this was posted to the wrong contractor. We would have definitely provided better care than you received and always invoice our customers unless requested not to."
"This was an awesome project to be a part of and I am very pleased with the outcome. I am even more pleased that the customer is happy with everything. That truly is the most rewarding part of the work as we really try to make each job personal/individualized while achieving proper function with unique attributes. We worked closely together to get things dialed in on paper based on a sketch they started with while they waited a considerable amount of time for us to finish contracts that preceded theirs. They were very accommodating, easy to work with and straightforward. As mentioned, there were a few things I suggested upgrading along the way as well as a few things they wanted upgraded or changed and we were happy to make those adjustments during the project. There were a number of things we needed to communicate about during the project and the ability to text or make mid-day emails/phone-calls on top of a few morning meetings allowed everything to flow really smoothly. I would love to watch this landscape mature over time as it will be very full and colorful as time goes on and seasons change. One of my favorite parts of any landscape is the lighting that some people opt for as it creates such an inviting space allowing appreciation of the landscape and aides in navigation of the landscape in many situations. We used copper fixtures with LED conversions in this instance. The naturally occurring patina of the metal over time will create additional interest and the LED will allow for low energy consumption with extremely long lamp life. I did encourage the possibility of changing, adding and/or relocating some of the fixtures to better complement the maturing landscape but it will not be a requirement as everything should remain relatively well lit with the current design and some minor plant pruning as things develop. Based on all of my review responses I think it goes without saying at this point, but I really appreciate the work and the trust in our ability and knowledge. Beyond that, I really appreciate the knowledge of your budget and desires, the flexibility, the communication and the patience with our scheduling as I am not willing to sacrifice quality for quantity. I would love to work with you folks in the future if anything arises."
"This project was relatively straightforward and simple from a layout standpoint due to the customers knowledge of exactly what they wanted to achieve. We were able to meet those expectations in correcting prior issues and maximize useable space without surprises. I really appreciate the trust in our ability, especially since I was on vacation for a portion of this project and they were on vacation when I returned. Communication and trust are key to any good project and this was no exception. Thank you so much for the excellent review and I would love to come back for any future landscaping needs."
Sent contract the day after by e-mail. I sent off the contract with 10% down after a couple of days he e-mailed me the day of repairs
and they showed at 730 AM the day promised and finished the same day! Will use them again for sure!
"Thank you for the great review! I appreciate your willingness to work with us and your trust in our recommendations/services- especially with the valve manifold rebuild since this was something you did not originally anticipate. I look forward to working with you in the future."
"Thank you very much for the excellent review. It was a great job to be on from start to finish and I'm very happy to know you are as pleased with the results as I am. I look forward to helping you with the maintenance care and watching the establishment of the entire landscape to achieve the full landscape you desire. It will be awesome to see this yard next year after it has had a chance to go through a dormant season and produce new spring growth. Thank you for your confidence and trust in us with design, material and color selections. Please don't hesitate to contact us for any recommendations, concerns or future landscape/masonry needs. You were a pleasure to work for."
"It is a little disheartening that reviews like this are allowed to be posted since they cause a lowered rating for a business when no actual work was performed. Beyond that, in this instance, the customer called for an estimate for irrigation work. After chatting with her on the phone, I thought it sounded like she wanted irrigation repair. I told her that we perform irrigation repair work on a time and materials basis only since there can be a lot of investigative work and/or variables associated with this type of work and it is difficult to provide a fair and accurate bid unless we are absolutely certain what the problem is. I gave her our rates and told her I could get her on the repair route schedule, as we do a fair amount of repair work on a T and M basis. She was not interested in that type of service and wanted me to set up an appt. to look at the yard. I agreed and made the appointment. I arrived on time and she was surprised by me, saying that she had forgotten all about it. I understood and she asked that I go into the backyard to look around and make an assessment while she prepared herself for the meeting. She came outside in less than ten minutes and I had already looked at the small yard. All of the irrigation was on inefficient spray systems in tight areas with a mature landscape. She asked for my suggestion and I told her that depending on how far she would want to go with a project, my best suggestion would be to redesign the irrigation systems to control the application of water much more efficiently and eliminate/minimize the overspray onto the house walls, patio, wood fencing and retaining wall. I also pointed out that there were many sprinkler heads with deflected spray due to the mature plants in front of them creating overly saturated and dry areas. She asked how I would combat some of the issues I pointed out and I explained. I gave her a range of cost to perform the work as I described, again depending on how involved she wanted the systems to be since there are a multitude of options for efficient systems and the cost depends on the labor required as well as the materials themselves. She was uninterested and said it was out of her budget. I understood and she said she wanted someone to go through the systems to check for leaks and make adjustments, etc. I explained our process, some of the variables and the time associated with that type of work went back to the time and materials rates for the most fair way I could perform the work. In her eyes, that was unacceptable and I understood it wasn't for her. As she let me out, I told her to please keep us in mind for the irrigation work if she reconsidered or didn't find anybody she was comfortable with. I had no idea she was displeased, especially since she asked for my suggestions. I would never take advantage of anyone and always strive to be fair, honest and knowledgeable."
"Thank you for posting this excellent rating and review. You guys were great to work with on the small project we completed for you and we look forward to the possibility of working together on this next project to give you a better idea of our capabilities."
"We are very pleased to know that you and your mother are happy as that is our top priority. We appreciate the work and thoughtful review. Thank you very much for taking the time to post about us. We look forward to servicing the yard and taking care of any other projects you would like/need to have done for years to come."
"Thank you very much for the work and great review. I appreciate your willingness to be flexible (with our availability delay) and take our advice for the most appropriate way to handle some of the work (drainage to the front, etc.) I hope everything is looking good and you are able to enjoy the yard this summer. We would be happy to work for you in the future if you need anything at all."
"Thank you so much for the kind comments and review. I hope all of those transplants survived and everything is watering efficiently especially now that we are moving into the hot season. We appreciate the work and hope to work with you again in the future on anything you may need."
