I'm extremely happy with their work. These guys were prompt, worked hard and fast and pay attention to details. They are very polite and there was no bad language that is so common today. My house was roofed 8 years ago by a local roofer and I have had leaks in 2 different rooms every year since. He roofed over rotten wood so Chico Roofing had alot of wood to replace. Price a little high for my budget but worth the peace of mind. Love my roof! The man who handled my job was "Stoney" and he addressed all of my concerns and was available to answer questions even on the weekend.

My first experience with Chico Roofing was to take care of leaks on existing roof. The repairs were done very well and no further leaks occurred.

The following year I decided to have a new roof installed;
Initial contact with company and estimate process went well
Job started on schedule
Crew stayed with job until completed
Clean up was good
Unexpected issues were easily resolved
Great communication with owner, estimator and project supervisor
Attention to detail

I am very happy with the work performed by Chico Roofing

* Overall I like the roof.
* Discoloration in one of the product bundles. This is in the process of being addressed with the manufacture representative and may even resolve itself within 6 months.
* Overlooked an area wood which was replaced that needed to be primed so it did not pass inspection the first time.
* Company could have handled the issue of the priming the exposed wood more professionally, but it was readily completed by them when I asked.
*The crew was punctual and polite.
*The job site was left clean and debris free each day.

Looked good. Problems with the flashing by the chimney. It took two calls then a letter threatening to go to court to get a call back. In received the call back and the flashing was repaired. I had no issues and was satisfied with the roof until 2014. My roof started leaking again down the same beam causing damage on my ceiling. I didn't try and contact them again though I have a fifteen year warranty.

They replaced the asphalt tile that was up there with heavy duty stuff. The payment ended with the insurance job so we only had to pay 1200. They had to take out twenty four solar panels in the grid then put it all back. They gave us a fair price. We had other contractors come give us a bid. He ask my permission as to what bid we had from another company, we told him a bid that we got and he kinda like shook his head and said he'll go home and try to work it up and see if he could come close. He comes back and got down within five hundred dollars against them, that included removing the panels and all. I called the solar company and they wanted almost five thousand dollars to remove the panels and put them back on.

We called due to a leaky roof for an estimate.  They came out right away and came back to take another look, however they never provided us with an estimate.  After multiple phone calls to them, they still did not provide an estimate nor did they return our calls.  Very disappointing.

The owner of the company Bill Crane and his brother are friendly and personable guys.  Had no issues with the estimate or contract process.  Work commenced on agreed date.  Work took a couple days to complete.  Crew was prompt and easy to work with.
All old roofing material that was torn off the roof was hand carried and dumped into a truck with very little that needed to picked up off the ground.
Had a small problem with the minor roof repairs.  Showed them where a small section of barge rafter along the eave needed to be replaced.  They failed to fix the problem until I brought to it to their attention, plus they did not have the wood for the repair.  Fortunately, I had an old 2x4 I gave them that worked, but was not ideal for the repair.
As is standard practice, they installed metal drip edge along the barge rafters.  The drip edge was brown, while the rafter is painted white.  The drip edge should have been white to match the rafter color.  They said the color matched the shingle color.  I let it go, but now I wish I would have had them use the right color.
The roofing materials (felt underlayment and shingles) they used were of good quality.  They laid down the new felt and installed new flashing on one day and made sure the roof was dryed-in (waterproof felt would prevent leaks should it rain overnight).  The shingles were laid the following day.  This process all went well, but I discovered a problem several months later when cleaning leaves off the roof.  Two of the vent flashings were not sealed around the vent pipes. I sealed them myself because rain was coming.
They used a another contractor to install the new seamless gutters.  Very impressed with the quality of the gutters and work done.
Had major problems the attic insulation.  I checked the attic after the insulation was blown in.  The fiberglass insulation was not applied evenly with many high and low spots, and there were areas with virtually no insulation. Had to have them come back to fix the problems, but I'm still not happy with the final results.  Chico Roofing installs attic insulation as a "convenience" to customers who must meet new energy/building code requirements.  An Insulation Contractor would have done a much better job.
Am very pleased with the gutter guards (Gutter Dome brand) installed.  Pricey, but they work great.
Finally, this was really disconcerting.  A week or so after the job was done I received a notice from the roofing materials company where Chico Roofing had purchased the shingles.  The notice said I was liable should Chico Roofing fail to pay for the materials  I called the company, and indeed the materials were paid for.  This may standard practice in the contracting business, but how was I to know this.  The impression I got was that Chico Roofing was concerned I would not pay my bill.  I should have been informed by Chico Roofing to expect to receive the notice.

I found Bill Crane, the owner, to be a very pleasant and honest and fair man.  It was a little shaky at first try to contact his company due to vacation and illness of his vacation relief.  I almost gave up on trying to get a bid from Chico Roofing Company.  I am glad that I was persistent!  Bill and his work crew, showed up on time every single encounter and cleaned up well every day.  I am happy that I could get a good quality roof locally--very important to support my community!  There was an issue with blow thru upon the first few rows...I did ask that they stop and remove the  plywood and replace and redo rather than trying to putty and paint over, especially since this involved the overhangs near my front entry.  No problem.....request honored.  But something the crew should have checked immediately when they first started application.  Bill made it quite clear that if I have any further issues or concerns to call him.  Bill's work crew were very pleasant, polite and considerate.  Overall I am very happy with the quality of this system and the work.   The real test is rainy weather...But I feel ready!

Chico Roofing Company completed three important jobs for me. My 20-year roof was at year 22 and needed to be replaced. I had been considering rain gutter covers for some time, and solar panels were part of my plan for the future. Chico Roofing Company was able to do all three of these tasks--new roof, rain gutter covers, and the addition of solar panels. In addition, I had some tubular skylights installed by them since they also offer that service. The delivery and clean-up of materials daily for all jobs was organized, systematic, and efficient.
I could not be more pleased. The roofing crew was professional, friendly, and punctual. They explained what they were doing. In the original bid, they included a section of dry rot repair on the small section of the roof that I had pointed out. They noticed dry rot at the base of my chimney as they were roofing, and for a reasonable additional cost, repaired that.
The solar panel array was designed for my house and thoughtfully addressed the shade trees on the property. The solar panel crew was just as focused and efficient. I am particularly pleased with the fact that if there is an issue with either the roof under the solar panels or the solar panels themselves, the same company covers it--and the company is local. And I have a warranty for both!

Just wonderful service from the beginning to the end.  Very professional and punctual.  They cleaned everything up every day.  The work was done quickly and in a timely manor.  We felt the cost was just right for the service.  We did have some quotes that were alot higher and one that was lower, but this company was so professional and detailed and worth every penny.  I was handling this on my own, I am a woman and I never felt they were taking advantage of me or brushing my concerns or questions off.  I highly recommend the Chico Roofing Company.
