"At husbands request we changed out furnace from exiting mechanical closet at one end of the house. Also added Air Conditioning to the house since it never had it. Customer opted for very high end 16 seer equipment with was a very nice choice. Only thing was husband did not want ducting replaced from day one, and of course ducting definitely undersized. Since furnace was at one extreme end of the house, air was not going to make it to all locations. Enlarging duct work and creating dedicated duct runs would of made every one happy. Even suggested furnace re-location into middle area of attic. Wife took over completely since husband was in Chicago for extended stay. When husband was to return home we were suppose to get a phone call, never got the call. Thus Never given an opportunity to re-address and resolve complaint . Wife and other providers blaming us for air flow issues which we never caused, but did want to resolve..."
"It is our policy to treat each and every call with great attention. To be through in diagnosis, repairs, and or installations. Because of this, we are only able to take on so many calls a day. Customer needed service the same day, rightly so since it was very cold and we had a 2 day wait. I politely suggested to try another Angies List contractor that might be able to come out and help him the same day. No more no less. Our reviews speak for them self. Thank you for your consideration."
My wife and I are extremely happy with the entire experience..
PS: This story should be in the upper box and vice - versa.
It turned out that the drain pan on the cooling coil was rotted out, leaking, & needed to be changed out.
I could have gone with just the repair, but because of the age of my AC, I decided to go with a complete new system. (Never once was I pressured to buy). The next day Joe & his son came out, ripped out the old one & the following morning he installed my new system. He was there to oversee & assist with everything.
It has been 3 weeks now, & I am extremely happy & pleased with his work ... the quality is superb! Joe was kind honest, knowledgeable, & gave me a fair & reasonable price. He patiently answered all my questions & gave me great advice. My new AC looks & works beautifully & I absolutely love it! I would recommend Joe Sepe in a heart-beat & you can be sure he will be the one I call if I ever need it serviced.
then warm air. I found Joe Sepe on Angie's List and saw a lot of good
reviews (as compared with some others where I found many good but then
some bad interspersed). So, I called Joe and L/M that night. I also
called first thing the next day at 7AM and L/M. He called back by @
8:30AM and said that he could get out there in the afternoon. I said to
please call me 30 minutes before he would arrive so that I could meet
him there. He did just that and when I arrived at the condo about 30
minutes later, he was already there waiting for me. He and his
assistant diagnosed the problem right away by metering the coolant flow
and found that it was down about 2 lbs. of coolant. He explained to me
why he thought it happened and what to to look for in future. He was
courteous, professional, and punctual. I thanked him for squeezing me
in on the same day, especially during such a long hot spell in the
Valley. He explained the charges, accepted the $25 coupon, and the
whole thing came to $130, which I felt was reasonable. I would use Joe
Sepe again and would recommend him.
Rick showed up at 1:30. He corrected the worst of the problems in maybe ten minutes. He replaced our capacitor and fuses, took the hose and washed down our very dirty compressor, replaced our equally filthy furnace filter, flushed the drain line and checked the freon. Although he had to bring a ladder upstairs in order to crawl into our attic, he was as careful as he could be. No banging into the stairs, the bannister, the doors. If I hadn't watched him move the ladder I wouldn't have known he had done so, he was that quiet.
The new capacitor was $209 of the final $274 cost, so everything else that Rick did, except the travel time, was basically a freebie. I am so pleased with their service and pricing that I have already passed their name on to another friend. No horror stories to report here. I'm sitting cool as a cucumber on our second floor while it's 100 degrees outside.
