Very clean and professional.

They came a few days before and gave me an estimate (they had to order the correct motor).  They called a few days later when the parts came in, made an appointment for the next Tuesday for before 10:00 and noon.
They arrived at about 10:30, installed the new motor and finished in a little over an hour.  I would definetely hire them again. I had also requested that they replace a few missing jets in the hot tub but the parts he brought were the wrong ones.  Not really their fault as I hadn't saved the old ones for him to compare.  He gave me a couple of parts places to try and they couldn't match up the correct parts either.

I had two other services come in to try to fix the problem (my spa would not maintain water level) before I decided to use Angie's List for first time.  Good thing.  They defined the most likely cause of the problem, what it would cost, what would happen next if the solution worked (or if there was a more significant problem like leaky pipes).  They gave me a written estimate, appointment, kept to both.  In fact, I changed over my pool service to them as a result of their good work.  Now I get to use my spa again!

I had an excellent experience with American Spa Services. When I called because one of my pumps wasn't functioning, I got a live person both times, who was courteous and helpful. He set up an appointment quickly, and the repair man, Miguel, showed up exactly on time. He examined my spa, and determined that I needed a new pump. He needed to order the part, and set up a follow-up appointment in a few days to replace it. He came for the second appointment on time, and replaced the pump. He also refilled and cleaned my spa, and and corrected all the pH/chemical balances. The entire experience went smoothly - excellent service!

Our above-ground spa was not functioning properly: the heater was not working and the pump was not circulating the water frequently enough. American Spa Services set up an appointment within the week. The service provider showed up on time and discovered the spa was not working because the wiring had not been done properly upon installation: the 230 volt pump was only receiving 120 volt current. He was able to rewire the unit so the pump was supplied with the correct voltage.

It has been several months that I have been trying to locate a repair service. The saga finally ended when another pool and spa service recommended American Spa Service AND finally the spa is fixed. After contacting American Spa Service the estimate and work were done in a week. Communication was great with this company. There was always someone in the office to take my call. Being the house is a rental and I don't live in the area, contracts were emailed and signed and faxed back. Responses to questions were always answered via phone or emails. Todd, who worked on the spa always called with explanations throughout the diagnoses and called when the repair was completed. Wish all repairs went as well! Goes to show, when working with a good company, it is possible and nice to know that they do exist.

Front office is friendly and responsive. The service technician, Todd, was out the next day, diagnosed the problem, got the part and installed it. Todd has been involved in the various repairs and upgrades to keep the old spa going and that continuity of service has been helpful.

All of my encounters with everyone - from the office staff to the tech has been professional and still friendly. From the first time I used this company until now, except for what I feel are high costs for tiny parts, I have been 100% satisfied. Since they are at the mercy of those selling the parts, I cannot fault them. I have used or tried to use other services, but this is the only one I would recommend without hesitation.

After weeks of trying to find a responsive, reliable, and affordable spa repair solution, I was about to give up! Thanks to Angie's List, I found a local solution that was available to help. The entire experience with American Spa Services was outstanding. From the first contact to set up an estimate to the final work performed, all of my expectations were far exceeded. First, the initial contact was prompt, courteous, and very helpful. The lady setting up the appointment set clear expectations on time and services to be performed. As I asked, the let themselves into the backyard, while I was at work, and identified the problem in the first visit. The total cost of this estimate was $65, which is very reasonable as you have to disassemble part of the spa to get to the inner workings. The immediately identified the problem(s) a bad O2 filter and a blown fuse. They advised the repairs would be $400. I asked them if a more affordable solution was available, and they advised I could replace just the fuse and have the spa working again, but the water would not be as clean. After careful consideration, I decided to spend the $400 to repair both the 02 filter and the fuse. They advised me the parts would take 3-5 days to order/receive. The parts came in early and they were able to move their appointment up a day, which was great. They called me and offered to do the repairs early, when they could have done nothing. Also, they completed the repairs while I was at work, demonstrating a high level of integrity and trustworthiness. During both visits, the left detailed notes about what was done and contact information if I had any questions. Today, it's rare to find a company that is focused on quality of work, attention to detail, and customer service that exceeds your expectations. You will not find a better solution for spa repair in the Southern California area. While I hope my spa doesn't fail again, I know that I have a great group of people waiting to help me get it fixed at an affordable price with stellar service!

They showed up on time and did exactly what I wanted them to do. They charged what they said they would but I expected the job to be more of a process than what it really was. They did an excellent job and completed it quickly.

The person at the company is very polite. Techs are polite enough, but the company admitted the second tech who put in the heater was new and not very experienced. They originally came out July 10, 2006 and it took a month to finally install the new heater. Now, after three uses, the heater is smoking and the spa is unusable.
