I hired Steven Shadko through Home Advisor to diagnosis my power outages and upgrade my electric panel. Steven was prompt in answering all my concerns regarding my power outages. He also made several trips to my resident to check out additional concerns and resolved my power outages until the scheduled SMUD shutdown. This issue occurred during one of Sacramento's heat wave with 100F degrees and more, so it was great to be able to use my portable AC to keep cool and keep my refrigerator running. I would recommend Steven Shadko of Fair Oaks Electric to anyone having power outage issues and looking to upgrade their electric panel.

The project was started around 8:00 AM and completed by noon. However, the inspector didn't show up until after 2pm and SMUD did not arrive until 5pm. We are very pleased with the update. Our previous panel was installed in 1964 and we had to flip the circuit breaker if we had additional lights turned on. I would highly recommend Fair Oaks Electric to anyone needing electrical repairs. We are going to use them within the next Month. My phone is rarely used.

Replaced a circuit breaker in our electrical panel. I sent a picture of the panel and the breaker and Steve was able to procure the breaker we needed. Steve replaced the breaker in quick order. Very helpful in providing advise pertaining to other work that may need to be accomplished. Highly recommend Fair Oaks Electric.

Fair Oaks Electric did an amazing job upgrading our forty year old electric panel so we could install an car charger and whole house surge protector in our home. Steven was tremendous at communicating with us, and he was also very prompt and courteous. His quote was very competitive and his work was flawless. Steve did not know any SMUD or county codes. His lack of knowledge of codes delayed project completion several times. He left the work site without cleaning up after him and his contracted help. His lack of knowledge of building codes made me hire my own roofer for the roof work.

"I will Agree The customer hired his own Roofer to keep the Warranty in place and I compensated him for that,As far as Codes I've done Panel Changes for 30 Years and Know the Codes pretty well, The Customer was very upset because we had to penetrate roof because old riser pipe was set at 9 and a half feet to weatherhead and theb connections have to be above 10 feet .He says I delayed project is not true I first met with owner in early August and he finally gave the approval for the panel change in late November I wish The Customer nothing but the Best and I'm sorry It Didn't go better in his mind."

Customer is not happy with the job. Brick was cut and was told not to cut the brick. CONTRACTOR IS NOT TO DO ANY WORK UNTIL DISCUSSED FACE TO FACE HOW THE BRICK IS GOING TO BE CORRECTED AND WANT IT IN WRITING. CONTRACTOR TO NOT START THE JOB UNTIL A WORK AGREEMENT IN HAND. NEED A COMPLETE ITEMIZED RECEIPT BEFORE WORK IS STARTED.

"The brick had to be cut to bring the panel up to the electrical code, the old panels have a different door opening so the new panel had a door that wouldn't open up more than 25 degrees before it hit the brick, I hired a professional stucco company who cut 2 inches off the brick and rounded off the corner and filled with concrete to make a nice picture frame effect around the panel and it looks very good, when the house was built back in the 80s the brick touched the right side of the panel,I also put in new gfci receptacle for no charge and front post light for a very cheap price of $180.00, I appreciate ron let me do the work and wish him nothing but the best..."
