I LOVED working with Fred and Regal Flooring. He is a true gentleman, and everyone who he sent to do the installation was fantastic to work with. Very professional, courteous people; super high-quality work; and they left the place clean. I am thrilled with the results and look forward to working with them again on the next phase of my upgrades.

It was a very difficult decision not to use Regal for our hardwood floors.  They were very professional, provided a competitive quote and spent time with us to answer questions and explain their process.  We ultimately decided on another company due to a personal relationship, but have since recommended Regal to friends and neighbors.  If not for the personal relationship with another company, I would have definitely used Regal, and I've felt good about recommending them to others.

We were buying a new house and knew we wanted to get hardwoods installed upstairs.  The builder was charging an arm and a leg so we had the builder install carpet and we said we'd get someone to install the hardwood after we bought the home.  We called around and got three estimates.  Regal flooring was not the very cheapest (all were in same close range), but at the end of the day it didn't come down to only price.  We thought we wanted the stairs to be wood also.  Scott and Dan met us at the model homes and discussed with us in detail the advantages and options available to redo the stairs.  Unfortunately due to design of the house and budget it wasn't really feasible in the near term to do the stairs.  However, we did hire Scott and Regal to do the hardwoods on the whole second level of our new home.
We penciled in the target date of occupancy and asked that because we wanted the house done quickly - so we could actually live in it - could we get 2 crews of guys to work on the floors to get it done 2X as quick.  Scott said we could - as we were scheduling out a month plus - as the house wasn't quite finished yet.  This was a big deal for us - as we were transitioning from Chicago.
Regal's two crew started promtply the day after we took possession.  The crew was on time, polite, hard working, diligent and cleaned up daily.  The crew started by taking out the brand new pad and carpet and neatly rolled it.  They knew we were going to donate the carpet to habitat for humanity so they were careful about taking it out in large pieces, rolling it and they even measured the pieces as required by Habitat.  It was great that we were able to benefit a worthy cause with our newly ripped out new carpet and we got the support of the team to do that...
The hardwoods were installed in less time than originally estimated.  I believe the original estimate was 8 - 10 days - as it was appx 2000 sq ft.  The crew worked 6 days a week and the work was done in 6 days.  We'd scheduled the movers for day 8 and told the crew that - so we all knew that if the trim wasn't done by then - they'd be working around the movers... ;)
I love my new floors, they match the hardwood downstairs perfectly.  The entire team was effective, conscientious about their work and the floors are beautiful.  There was tile and travertine that the floors had to butt up against and the transitions were all handled very well.  The guys even touched up the paint in the areas where there were inevitable dings.
Towards the end of the job, Fred the owner stopped by to check on the progress - which was appreciated.  Knowing the whole team cares about the delivery / installation is huge.  Lastly, knowing this is a family run business makes this purchase even more satisfying.
I very strongly urge you to contact Regal floors for your work.  We will be going to regal when we need to redo the carpet on the stairs and would strongly encourage others to give them a shot for their flooring needs as well.

After purchasing our rental home of five years, we were eager to replace the flooring throughout our home and finally make the place our own. We had passed by Regal Flooring many times when shopping at Ralph's and Rite Aid and after a quick check on Yelp we decided to give them an opportunity to earn our business as the closest neighborhood flooring center.
We got a good feeling immediately upon entering Regal Flooring. Scott was working with us and advised us on choice of carpet and hardwood flooring. What we particularly liked was the laid back attitude of everyone at the store. They seem to know that a friendly attitude and knowledge goes a long way and to many customers is more appealing than an aggressive sales pitch.
After giving Scott a rough idea what we are looking for in terms of carpet and hardwood products, we decided to have him out to take measurements and provide us with a quote. An apointment was set up promptly and Scott took diligent measurements. A few days later when stopping by the shop he gave me a rough estimate what the price would be for carpet and hardwood, still depending on our final choice of product. The prices were close enough to what I anticipated to pay for the projects, so I did not feel it necessary to get other quotes from elsewhere.
About a month later we made a final decision on the upstairs carpet project but had to delay the hardwood installation until after our kitchen remodel project. About a week later the carpet was there and installation took a mere 3h for 750 square foot. Everything went smoothly without hick-ups.
Fast forward 6 months we finally had the kitchen cabinets ready to be installed and went back to Regal to make a decision on Hardwood flooring. Scott helped us with that decision as well and upon choosing the final product he drew up the pricing. He advised us on the benefits of glueing rather than floating the flooring and given a mere difference in price of a few $100's we decided to go that way. Scott let me know that the price, which was very close to the initial quote from six months ago, could still change a little, depending on additional work necessary to prep the subfloor.
A week later the hardwood arrived and we scheduled installation for the following week pending on completion of the kitchen installation process. At that point we found out that our coaxial cable had been layed under the carpet from one room to its final destination, and we worried how to deal with this cable without opening walls. We stopped by Regal and Scott told us not to worry, the installer (also by the name Scott, I will call him Scott2 thereafter) would be able to come up with a solution.
The following wednesday, Scott2 and his crew came by to deliver the product, prepare the subfloor and start with installation. We first discussed a few problem areas, mainly what to do with the cable, how to work transitions and how the edges would be finished. Our kitchen cabinets did not come with a shoe of the same color, but we were able to organize some paint in the cabinet color. Scott2 used that paint to prep a shoe for the kitchen area. The coaxial cable could be positioned under the base board for the most part, but one door opening had to be traversed by drilling a trench into the concrete subfloor. Scott2 also had to level out two areas in the subfloor with concrete. This additional work added $200 over the original quote , which seemed very reasonable.
Coming home that first day, we were amazed at the progress that had been made. Scott2 informed us that they would likely be done on friday at noon and this estimate proofed accurate. Despite this incredible speed, no corners were cut and the finished product was perfect. We could not be happier. I would recommend Regal Flooring without hesitation. Their prices are competetive. You might be able to find it a few $100's cheaper elsewhere, but I seriously doubt that you will find another business as friendly, personable, professional and efficient.
