Rolando Mireles, a certified CA technician, was very honest and straight with me. The existence of asbestos over the heating ducts was obvious by observation and saved me the money for the 3 sample tests, but the existence of that asbestos was in the report. I had the lead and acoustical ceiling tests performed because they are needed for city permits for the upcoming renovations. Rolando also gave me the names of reliable very fair-priced abatement companies. Lead Tech Environmental was very professional, the report was detailed, as expected. I am glad that I immediately contacted the abatement company just after the inspection because the AQMD requires a 2-week waiting period from the notification prior to actual removal. Thus, if you are in a hurry, find out as soon as possible of the existence of asbestos (as nicely mentioned by Rolando), and call the abatement company ASAP so as to reduce the waiting time. I recommend Lead Tech Environmental because of their professionalism, honesty, and VERY competitive prices (asbestos test/sample was half that of a competitor).
