I highly recommend Secure Tech. Bruce (the owner) came to my home, answered ALL my questions. I had received another quote from another company for a much higher cost for a similar system. Secure Tech is local, the other company was not. The installation went better than I expected. They are knowledgeable, prompt, neat, professional, and best of all do quality work. After everything was install their system tech came to my home, set up my system, including remote access, and in plain English explained how everything worked. Overall, a great experience.

Bruce was easy to deal with and his install team lead by Matthew was great. They were punctual on install day and took time to walk the property to review where the new cameras were going before work commenced. Bruce did advance research to make sure the new cameras would work w/ the existing DVR & camera system. The install team were careful to not leave any cable pieces or trash on the property when they were done and the cabling job was very neat. I would recommend Secure Tech for Security Camera installation, very knowledgeable team.

Lucky for us we had Bruce. He is a very calm person that takes his time to assess the situation at hand in depth. His crew is very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all our questions and concerns. Their work is very clean and meticulous. We are very happy with the outcome and we know that whenever we have an issue Bruce and his crew will help us out right away. I was very impressed with Bruce's knowledge of the many different home security systems past and present. He was very familiar with the workings of my 20 year old system and was able to recommended a capable system. Bruce really took the time to explained the pros and cons and options that are available so that I could make an informed decision. No sale pressure, which I appreciated. His pricing is fair and I would surely considered using him in future projects.

From the first call to the company prompted an almost immediate response from Bruce. Writer has limited knowledge of technology and Bruce was most understanding and answered all of questions, even though some of them were quite elementary. A tentative appointment time was set and Bruce called beforehand to confirm the time. The workers arrived promptly at the scheduled time. They were very courteous, respectful, knowledgable and efficient while performing the work. Would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I would like to give this company 5 stars because Bruce, the owner seems to be a very decent guy. But what's the point of review sites if reviews arent totally honest right! Sp here goes:
Things I liked:
1. Bruce, the owner, was pleasant and showed up nearly on time at 9:30 am
2. Bruce seems to really know his stuff when it comes to alarm systems
3. My alarm system now works again, and works much better than before
4. Bruce is easy to talk to and if you have a problem or issue, he seems genuinely interested in finding a solution
Things I didn't like:
1. Secure Tech charges a "$35 trip fee." What is that ? It's not like I had the option of going to Secure Tech! To be fair, this charge was not hidden but rather, was disclosed up front. Bruce later explained that this fee offsets his time lost to traveling in the congested L.A. area. None of the other alarm companies I called charged this fee of charged for travel time.
2. Inefficient use of time led to a much bigger bill ($765.00) than expected. For example, Bruce initially sold me a new alarm siren before testing the old one or testing the wiring. AFTER he installed the new siren he determined the wiring was actually the problem. Siren now gets uninstalled which takes time. I tested the old siren afterwards and it works fine. At $120/hour, time not well managed gets costly very fast. In my view, inefficient time management/planning made the job take longer and thus much more expensive.
3. After spending $765 to repair and upgrade my 20+ year old alarm system, my neighbor laughed at me because he just purchased a brand new, state of the art wireless alarm system for under $400 (installed and monitored for $34/month!) and which provides much better security than mine. Bruce never discussed this option with me. In hindsight, had I known I would have replaced my old system with a newer, modern computerized alarm system for nearly half the price. Hard to do that now having spent so much money on this repair.
While i am overall satisfied with Secure Tech's work, and Bruce is a very nice person, I'm not sure I'd use Secure Tech in the future. I would have wanted my options discussed before th repairs were done, and would liked to have seen better time management.

When we called we were rudely told that they didn't service our area, even though the service area on their profile clearly encompassed our city. The phone call went very poorly and I felt that they were unprofessional. Initially the A ratings on their profile drew me in, but I would say that they're an F.

Bruce was really responsive. He came out to my house the same day that I called. That was a Wednesday and I had the quote by Sunday. The quote includes an Angie's List discount. I had one other quote that was lower for the installation and $10 higher for monthly protection service. I decided to go with the other company because the initial outlay was less and because the company is located closer to me geographically, which I like as in my experience the farther away the company is the less motivated they are to return after the job is done if needed. Bruce was professional and certainly a viable option and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Bruce was very professional from beginning to end. Got back to us quickly, made a quick appointment and met with us. He demonstrated a considerable amount of knowledge about alarm systems, alarm monitoring and our existing system. He met with us on a Friday and we had the estimate on Sunday evening.
When we decide to pursue the alarm system again, Secure Tech will be one of the companies we contact.

Our initial contact was with Bruce, the owner of the company. We were able to very quickly set an appointment for him to visit our home. He listened carefully to what we were trying to accomplish, offered some valuable suggestions, and provided us with an estimate in a timely manner.
Please realize that Bruce and his crew did extensive work at our home and we considered their price reasonable and competitive. While our project was lengthy and extensive, they do simple alarm installations as well.
Aaron was our installer, sometimes accompanied by a second gentleman who assisted him.I can't speak highly enough about their professionalism, and attention to detail. Every installation is clean and aesthetically pleasing. These gentlemen worked very hard, never complained, and were willing to accommodate my schedule on several occasions. We also added a few projects along the way which they happily accommodated. I was especially impressed one day when I was having some furniture delivered to our "new" home. It quickly was apparent that the location of the keypad in the master bedroom was going to be inaccessible because of the size of the headboard. Moving the furniture after it was in place was going to be extremely difficult because of the size and weight of the bed. Aaron immediately interrupted the work he was doing and came to the rescue and removed the keypad from the inconvenient location so the delivery could be completed. He then mounted the keypad so it would be easily accessible from bedside. That kind of service is very rare these days. It's never easy to have someone working in your home, but Bruce and his team make it a pleasant experience.
I wouldn't hesitate to work with this company again and happily recommend them to you.

After having yard items stolen, I purchased a well known brand of cameras at a club discount store. I have no idea why I thought I could install them myself. After plugging the camera into the DVR as an experiment and not getting a picture. I called the professionals. Bruce from Secure Tech, came to my home and gave me a reasonable price for installation of 8 cameras. Bruce did not even scold me for purchasing cameras before I called. He suggested a smaller less noticeable camera for the front door area. He also suggested a better cable than the one the system came with.The better cable is a must for longer efficiency. The Secure Tech employees are quick and efficient. After the installation I decided on one more camera and without any problems his very capable installer and tech, Andrew, placed the new camera and set up the visual feed. I have a monitor over the DVR and I can view my home from my smart phone and my computer. (any computer for that matter) I cannot say enough about the patience that Andrew had with my lack of knowledge about I.P. addresses and such. If you need a security system I would certainly recommend Secure Tech. I appreciate the neat and clean work that was done. The cameras work very well. If you call Bruce you will know right away he cares about what the homeowner wants, not just getting the job.

Bruce arrived on time and assessed the system. He discovered the issue right away. The problem was caused by a power supply unit that was under power for the size of the system. He installed a new power supply and restored the system. The entire job took about an hour. The price was very reasonable, especially considering I had a few thousand dollars invested in the system. I would not hesitate to call Bruce at Secure Tech for any future alarm or surveillance camera repairs or installation.

Bruce and his team were top-notch -- professional, punctual, knowledgeable, thorough, with great follow-up. We were expecting our second child and wanted to overhaul our home security system to install multiple cameras and a DVR that could record/playback video. We also wanted to include a baby monitoring component to allow us to see/hear video and audio in the kids' rooms, both within the house (in lieu of standalone baby monitors / nanny cams) and if we were out and about (e.g. accessing from our mobile devices). It was a rather complicated undertaking, especially since our house has various weird wiring and architectural issues, but they were able to get the job done exactly as we wanted. We've called on them multiple times since they completed the work with various questions / issues, and they always respond quickly and come by the house ASAP if necessary. Highly recommend Secure Tech for all your home security needs!

Back in March of 2013 we had this Security system installed by Bruce of Secure Tech and have been very happy with the set up and installation. This is by far better than anything ADT offers which I cancelled. The 2Gig control panel and alarm.com the he provides are on the leading edge of home automation. I got his name from Angies List on great reviews and am glad I did. I had Bruce install some z-wave devices yesterday to the panel and he was very helpful. He even helped me install my internet phone after connecting the alarm system.

I compared several different companies and monitoring plans. I chose Secure Tech due to Angie's List reviews regarding the high level of service offered. The price was very competitive with other security companies but this was not the most important factor for me. I enjoyed the level of personal service that I did not receive from national retailers like ADT. The owner, Bruce, always answered the phone when I called and came in person to perform a security review of my residence. (ADT did a "security review" over the phone and then tried to lock me into a "right now only" price for installation and monitoring. I did not sign up. The prices for install and monitoring through ADT were the highest of any company I contacted.) He was willing to install the same day but my family had plans so we scheduled for the next day. His installer arrived an hour or so late but that wasn't a big deal to me since I had already set the day aside to be home. I do not remember the installer's name but he was very professional. He worked quickly, fully tested the system, and clearly explained how the system worked before he left.
A problem did arise but was quickly solved. When deciding on which company to use I made sure that each company provided a yard sign and window stickers. Bruce assured me that Secure Tech would provide these to me. For me, these signs are as important as the security system itself as a Consumer Reports study has shown that the sign alone is almost as effective at stopping burglaries as the system. I prefer to stop the break-in rather than be notified that my place was burglarized and the police are on their way. The installer did not leave the signs. I called Bruce and he told me that he had yard signs but he did not have any window stickers and it would take a month to order new stickers. He assured me that he would work something out and fix the problem. I told him it was important that I have the signs soon because my family had a trip coming up. The installation took place on Friday and I was leaving on Tuesday. On Monday, Bruce sent one of his employees over to my house and dropped off two yard signs. I was happy with the signs and did not really need the window stickers since I got two signs (which I placed in the window anyway).
So far the alarm has worked great. It is easy to arm and disarm, especially with the Alarm.com app on my cell phone. My wife and I are able to arm and disarm the alarm from anywhere. No false alarms and no break-in's yet so I'm very happy.

Bruce responded to my service request quickly, came out to do an estimate (no charge) and was very knowledgable. He set up a great system for us and it was executed quickly. While his guys were doing the install he stopped by to check in, and after it was set up he gave me a tutorial on how to use the system. He also followed up with a phone call to make sure thing were going well about a week later. Excellent company, highly recommended.

Bruce did a great job. At first glance, he knew exactly what the system was (by model number). He was able to leverage the existing system and get it up to speed. He was very courteous, respectful and responsive. He was definitely not shady, like the big brand security representative that showed up for a consult. I would highly recommend using him to install a system. We also decided to go with his company to do the monitoring. To date, they have been very responsive and courteous (a couple of false alarms to start). Thanks Bruce.

It took several days to get together with Bruce. When we did I found him to be friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Our home had an existing hard wired alarm system that had not been used since it malfunctioned many years ago. Bruce recommended replacing the electronics of the older system with something newer and more current. All the doors and windows were hard wired and the sensors worked fine thus there would be no need to replace or modify them. I wanted to add a smoke/heat sensor into the system. I also wanted central monitoring of the system. Bruce gave me an estimate for the system and monitoring which I felt was very reasonable.
Steve, arrived at our home several days later and installed the system. Steve was on time, knowledgeable, and had the unit installed a couple of hours later. Bruce arrived just a Steve was finishing up the installation to program the system and explain its operation.
All in all everything went very well. I would certainly recommend Secure Tech to anyone looking for a security system...........
