It was a nightmare. We went in there and if you are not willing or you just come in and not buy something they drop you like a hot potato. I am a retired general contractor and I specialized in high end European kitchen; I finally stopped going with them because if you bought something and you don't have the original carton they would not take it back for anything. I had two or three customers that had to sue Pacific Sales to take back things that were sold to do one thing and they didn't do what they said they will do. Their prices are good but their services are not. They weren't willing to give you the time that is necessary. They felt that people if they came in they already knew what they wanted. However, they spend a lot of money on advertising so whenever you go to one of their stores they are packed. You always have to wait and you take a number; when the persons come to you if he doesn't sell something right away he says he'll be back but he will never come back.

We just bought a house and needed a few items. We went to PS in West Hollywood (Best Buy) and were incredibly pleased with the results. We got a great set of appliances and never felt like we were being steered towards any particular brand or model. The salesman listed all the pros and cons of the machines we were looking at (he even new the Consumer Reports ratings for them) and let us make up our own minds. The delivery guys were right on time and did a great job of not damaging the machines or the walls. I only wished they would have been able to install the dryer but were unable to as I had to replace the gas valve (wrong size).
We are coming back when we have to buy a new refrigerator or oven (hopefully not for another 15 years or so)

We had read reviews of dishwashers in Consumer Reports and were interested in purchasing a Whirlpool because of the ratings. The salesman at Pacific Sales (Gustavo Medina) helped show us the features for various brands and models, and pointed out a particular Whirlpool model that was on sale for a very good price. Because the dishwasher would need to fit into our floor level kitchen cabinetry space we asked him to check the precise measurements of the model we were interested in to be sure it would fit properly. He scheduled the delivery so it would arrive in a time window that we preferred (we decided to have the installation done by a another company we had identified through Angie's List). We were very satisfied with the new dishwasher.

When I to buy the appliance it was okay, but I wasn’t too fond of the salesman. They gave me people who would allegedly install the sink and none of those people ever called us back. Finally, my husband and a couple of young guys installed it. I thought that it was not so wonderful. I spent over $500 when they last came out. I would tell other members that they are not very sale oriented or responsive. It was not a particularly joyous experience and in fact I might go to a smaller company in the future. They delivered the appliance on time.

They were very good and the whole thing was handled very well. The price was literally $300 less than anybody else I checked. The machines are working very excellently and I really like them. It is a big company and I will use them again in the future.

Went overall better than average. Definitely beats a department store or a place like Best Buy, although I do believe they were bought out by Best Buy. Anyhow, their prices are great...I'm sure you can get cheaper if you REALLY scrounge around, but if you want a good price without spending days upon days researching, you can't go wrong with this place. And don't let them fool you, whatever price they quote, they can still knock an additional 10% - 15% off. Their kitchen and plumbing guys are pretty knowledgeable. Much more knowledgeable than any Home Depot or Best Buy associate. They have all the catalogs and have been very good at making sure you order all the right parts for whatever your application is (i.e. rough plumbing valve, plus trim, plus handle). Place is usually pretty busy, so plan on waiting as long as 30 minutes or more to see an associate. Their responsiveness is OK; but they did forget to call me to let me know my order had arrived....so it falls upon you to follow-up for the most part. Also bought a TV there for a good price. Listed for $3,000 and got them down to $2,650 just by asking.....Overall, I like them and would do business with them again.

We needed to replace a Sub Zero refrigerator. Pacific Sales is highly rated on Angie's List and it is known to carry a wide range of appliances. There was an ad in the paper just as we were about to make the purchase that said that prices were going to change and they offered free delivery, installation and removal of old refrigerator. We arrived as the store opened on a Saturday no one else was in the store but us. The salesperson was cold and unpleasant. We knew exactly which model we wanted, he didn't have to do anything but look it up in inventory. I asked about installation, specifically about the removal and installation of the wood panel that matches our kitchen cabinets. He said that they would do it when they installed the refrigerator. On the day it was to be installed, I was told that the refrigerator would come between noon and 4:00 PM, they came at 6:30 PM. They installed the refrigerator (nice guys) and removed the wooden panel. When they asked where they should put the panel, I told them "on the door of the frig". They said they were not allowed to do that. After several calls to Pacific Sales, I was told that the drivers didn't do that because they had been contracted to deliver and install only. When I told Pacific Sales people that my salesman told me that they would do it, the answer was, "He was wrong". By then, it was too late to speak to a manager at Pacific Sales but the next day I spoke with a manager who said they would give me the names of people who would do that, at a cost. I was shocked and told him that after spending $7000 for a refrigerator and being told the panel would be installed, he could tell me that they would charge to do that? He said he would speak to his supervisor and call me the next day. He has never called me back, that was more than a week ago. I have left 3 messages on his voice mail that have not been returned. It is likely that I must call the refrigeration service that had maintained my old frig for many years to get them to install the panel. I will never do business with Pacific Sales again.

I visited the showroom in Burbank. The place is easy to find and has lots of parking. I went on a weekday and there were plenty of available sales people and not many customers in the store. Even though there were many sales people, no one shadowed me while I was in the store, which I appreciated a lot. When I asked for help, I got it. They offered opinions on dryers in my price range with the features I was interested in, and did not try to "up-sell" me or get me interested in something with more features than I wanted. My entire visit took 1/2 an hour. The delivery people were polite and didn't seem to mind the 2 flights of stairs to get the appliances in and out of the house. I was informed in advance of needing cash to pay for an installation kit that the delivery people would have to use to install the dryer. They showed up 1 hour into the 4 hour delivery slot.
