Lee quickly traced the "no-start" problem to a faulty electronic control circuit board. At this point, most technicians would insist on replacing the circuit board. But Lee investigated further and determined that a tiny solder joint on the circuit board appeared to be faulty. He offered me the option of purchasing a new circuit board, which would have to be special ordered, or he could attempt to repair the faulty solder joint on the existing circuit board in hopes of getting the air conditioning going again, at least temporarily. We were roasting in the summer heat and I like to save money when I can, so I opted for having him attempt to repair the circuit board even though he could not guarantee the longevity of his repair since the circuit board was faulty to begin with, not to mention old. That was more than two years ago and the circuit board is still functioning! We never did order a replacement circuit board. Lee had also previously repaired our condenser unit when it failed unexpectedly a number of years ago. Another company wanted to replace the entire condenser unit, at no small expense to us! But Lee determined that the root cause of our problem was actually an electrical fault within the unit, not a major mechanical breakdown! The condenser unit has functioned flawlessly since Lee worked his magic on it. Each time he has been here he showed up on time and quickly determined the true nature of the problem. And his labor charges were more than reasonable! We will definitely call him again!
