Very professional from start to finish. They are a distance from me, and I remember their price as high but reasonable. And I remember distinctly deciding I would use them again if the need arose.

They’re my go to people. They do complete auto service. Not auto body, just auto service.

I visited Spiteri's Complete Auto Service & Repair, Inc. to have an oil leak fixed on a 2004 BMW 325i. I suspected the Oil Filter Housing Gasket or the Oil Pan Gasket leaking. They charged for diagnostics and did not deduct the diagnostics fee from the service fee when I decided to have the leak fixed. As a result of the diagnostics, they told me the problem was with the Oil Pan Gasket and proposed me with two solutions: 1) Replace the Oil Pan Gasket, which was very expensive, but would fix the problem 2) Tighten the bolts on the Oil Pan and add some silicon substance on the bolts, which was the cheaper solution. They recommended the cheaper solution and I went for it. They told me they had tightened 20 bolts with the silicon substance. After a week, the car was back to leaking oil again and took it back to Spiteri's. They said they tightened the bolts again, but the leak was back after 2 days. On the phone, Charlie told me that the problem might be with the main seal, which would be a costly fix. At that point I gave up on Spiteri and decided to fix the problem myself. After replacing the Oil Pan Gasket on my own, which I should have done to begin with and not be lazy, the leak was gone. Lessons learned: Go for the solution that will 100% fix the problem, not for the halfway measures.

I have been sick of this car having taken it to the dealer and other repair places. It is a 2003 with less that 30,000 miles as it is not reliable. I am very pleased with and understand the solution. They called me on a daily basis to report on findings. They gave me a clear understanding and a good price on all the repairs. Plus it is thee cleanest auto service place I have ever seen. I will return with all my cars when they need servce.

The service was fine. Everything was good. I found them on Angie's List. The price was about 39 for the smog and then the certificate was $14 or so. The price was very reasonable. There was a problem in my car where I would start it and then it wouldn’t start. It did that twice and it just happened to do it. I went there at lunch time. One of the salespeople told me to come back at 1 o' clock and make an appointment. I left to have lunch. Then I went to start my car, and my car didn’t start. I finally got it to start. Then I took it and told them that I didn’t know what was wrong with my car. They said that they will look into it. I told them that it's fine now and that we will go ahead and do the smog and make sure everything passes. That all passed. He got back to me and called me the next day and asked me if I was thinking about bringing it back. I said probably not. The car has been running fine. I don’t use it consistently because I have other vehicles. I had that problem in January just that one time. Prior to that, I had the same problem two months ago. I don’t know exactly what the problem. I didn’t want to leave the car there, and I said no. But overall, the service and everything was great. They did a great job. The service was great. The pricing was very good. It's the reason I took it there. It took me thirty minutes to get there; it was worth it. The quality was very good. They were great overall.

Spiteri's regularly services all three of my vehicles: Audi S4, Toyota LandCruiser and Ford E350 SuperDuty. Over the years they have done smogs, AC compressor replacement, brakes, oil-changes, radiator change, emissions fixes, new tires, etc. I use them because A) They are close to my house and they gladly provide me promptly with rides home, B) They are extremely clean, professional and orderly, almost to a fault, as the check-in and check-out procedures take a while because they so thoroughly document the issues and explain things, C) In the almost 10 years I have been using them I (an automotive mechanical engineer) feel that they have always done professional work and that they are honest, D) They will work with you on the issue and try and get you the best deal on parts or determine a way to minimize the cost if you ask, and E) They are friendly and all seem to like being there, almost a family, and even remember your name....a little thing in the big scheme of things but nice nonetheless. Lastly, they are not cheap...their hourly rate is approaching that of a dealer, so don't go here if you are looking for a cut-rate bargain. Life is too short to feel like you're being cheated or to suffer poor workmanship, so I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount for soundness of mind. About the only time I did compare quotes between the dealer and Spiteri's to replace the AC compressor on the Ford E350, Spiteri's did come in almost a thousand dollars cheaper. They do send out by mail a lot of coupons however, so you could try and use those.

The Spiteri mechanics? professionalism are definitely ?old school? in being courteous, honest, fair, thorough in troubleshooting and following up on the completed customer?s repair/service requests. I purchased a certificate through Angie's List for the work. They were very good.

It was the amount of the big deal. It was okay.

The Spiteri's people were very courteous, but I realized that getting my car there would be too much of a challenge without a courtesy car service. No harm no foul was done, they were just too far for me.

It was great. There was an issue with the window and I needed an engine mount replaced.

When I was growing up, we always took our vehicles to the dealership we had bought them from. That is changing now that I've found Spiteri's right in my own neighborhood. I own a new car and in talking to the Service Writer at Spiteri's, I found that they can perform the checks and services required to keep the warranty valid. I was impressed with how clean their service bays are, their thoroughness and attention to detail. My wife commutes daily, so I decided to have it inspected by Spiteri's bumper -to-bumper. They found that the rear brakes needed to be adjusted, which despite being checked by another Shop three times, had never been repaired. Now my brake efficiency and pedal height is much better. They did a couple of other minor repairs and the car drives like new!

I was extremely impressed by Spiteri's quality of workmanship, patience explaining everything to me, and how thorough they checked out everything, beyond what was required. Previously, I've always brought my Subaru into the dealership for maintenance, but since they don't do smog checks, I searched on Yelp and Angie's List for a highly rate, local Auto Service, finding Spiteri's. I was so impressed by how easy that went, I scheduled my car for its 75,000 maintenance checkup at Spiteri's, instead of the dealer. They not only did the regular scheduled work, they found other problems that could've led to much bigger problems for me. They smelled oil (I didn't) and found a leak. They heard a rattle (I didn't) and fixed a bolt holding a something-or-other, alternator?, under the car. They even replaced the filter for me. They checked my battery, let me know it's almost run-down, I could wait to replace it or do it now. I chose to do it now only because I would only worry about it if I waited. They also let me know what may need to be done for its next maintenance. To top it off, they are friendly, not just to customers, but to each other. And they not only dropped me off at work that morning, they picked me up, too! My dealer never picked me up. I always did the cheap $25 rental car service. I've been recommending them to everyone. They did a great job. They were so kind and personable. Their shop and waiting room was very clean. While I was waiting, existing clients came in and seemed very happy with their service. I would highly recommend them, they are very friendly and thorough.

The workmanship was excellent, and they were really responsive to any concerns and questions that I had.

I made an appointment. I called to inform them I would be 15 minutes late as I had forgotten my purse. They said no problem. I was helped immediately when I arrived. The job was done before I knew it. Plus they parked my car right outside the front door.

We purchased a smog deal through Angie's List and set up an appointment with Spiteri's. On the way to the appointment, our left rear tire almost fell off! We just had our tires rotated/balanced with Wheel Works. However, once finished, they forgot to properly re-attach the left rear tire's bolts/lug nuts! My husband and I pulled over on the 101 freeway to tighten the nuts ourselves by hand. If we hadn't pulled over, the tire would have come off, causing us to be seriously injured or killed! We arrived late for our appointment and explained what just happened. Our service writer Cris was very helpful documenting any damage to our car. Chuck suggested all the lug nuts & bolts be inspected, especially the left rear. Chuck said, when a tire starts to separate from a car, the bolts/nuts can be stripped of their threads. He offered to visually inspect/re-torque each bolt and nut for free. After almost being seriously injured to being safe again was a great feeling! We're so thankful to have been at Spiteri's that day! Thanks again for all your concern and showing how customer service is done!

I will use then again and am very glad to have a local mechanic that we feel we can trust. I will be taking my car in next month to have it checked out and would recommend them to my friends. All in all a great experience...except for the cost but I feel I paid for what I got.

They were quick and professional. My only complaint is that despite having paid for my smog check via Angies List they still charged me extra for a "smog certificate". My understanding was that I had paid for the full service and there was no fine print that stated otherwise. Thats why I gave them a B on price, however, I think this was minor.

It went very well and the reason I am writing a review, because many people would think, what's so exceptional abut a smog service, was the service I received. It was very easy to schedule an appointment that was convenient for me, they took me right on time, they had a nice waiting area with a TV and newspaper, they kept me apprised of how they were doing, and it didn't take long at all to complete the work. I was very happy with all of that. But then the next day, I received a follow-up phone call to see how everything went, to make sure I hadn't waited too long, etc, etc. And if that wasn't enough of a nice touch, I received a thank you note in the mail! Wow! These folks are SUPER customer-oriented, very friendly (we chatted a bit when I was there), extremely nice, and I could go on and on. They now have a loyal customer for life. :-)
