They were one of the lowest bidders.  They provided a great deal of  objective information up front regarding what to consider in selecting a roofer.  They were very professional and performed additional non-roofing work at my request. They also did a great job cleaning up.  The add on work cost more than I expected and they even agreed to reduce these charges.

Everything went well with the roofing installation. Signature Roofing had to take my antenna down to fix the roof, and the person they sent out did a terrible job putting the antenna back up.  I had to call another company out to fix my antenna for me.  I did have to pay for a new antenna due to old one not working properly.  In all Signature Roofing did a good job with the roofing.

Upon invitation, the company exec, William, paid me a home visit, and explained the re-roofing process to me thoroughly.  Out of 4 quotes, their work quote was not the lowest.  The difference was however not too significant.  I chose this company because I trusted their expert knowledge in their business, and they scored great reviews from past customers.  They also furnished me with much valuable information so that I could come to an informed decision on the type and color of the roofing materials.
The whole job lasted 3 days.  On all days the crew arrived punctually, and started the work days at 7 a.m. sharp.  On Day 1 my old roof was gone, and roofing materials were stacked up on top of my house.  On Day 2 another team of skilled workers began installing the new roof.  Since I was also adding a solatube and a solar attic fan to my roof, this team worked seamlessly with the suppliers. The new roof, the new vents, the gutters and downspouts were completed by noon on Day 3.  On the afternoon of Day 3 the workers checked that they did not overlook anything, removed all debris, and made cosmetic touches on the roof.  I personally climbed up the roof a couple times to inspect the work to my own satisfaction.  Throughout the task, I found their workers happy, responsive, and very professional.  William, as well as the company owner, George, knew what was going on all along.  We maintained timely contact via emails and phone calls.
Now I have a new roof that I am happy about.  The roof carries a lifetime warranty which can be transferred to one other owner.  At the same time I am confident that I have gotten to know much more about the roof above my head.

After reviewing five roofing firms, products, service and quotes we elected to have Signature Roofing install our new roof. We consider them for their integrity, professionalism, product, quality and price. Of all the five companies we interviewed, both William Cotter and George Belden, were the most professional in presenting their company, Product and examples of homes that they had installed roofs. They us modern satellite services to map the roof (which is much more accurate than the manual tape measurement. Plus, we had a perfect example of their workmanship when they installed a roof on our neighbor's house. In all, it took them only two days to remove the old roof and install the new roof. They coordinated with the city for the building permits and schedule of the building inspection. We have had several neighbors comment on how great our new roof looks. About the only difficulty we had was not being able to converse with the workers, as we do not speak Spanish. However, both William and George were very responsive to our emails and phone calls to answer any of our questions. I would highly recommend Signature Roofing.

I think they're great. They're very courteous. They keep you informed. They try to teach you things about roofing. They have a very good website. Their prices are also very good. They mainly do re-roofing. If you have a new roof, they are kind of lacking and don't know the common practices. They do not know what the city inspectors are looking for or recommending. I went with another roofer. Saber's price is probably lower or the lowest. They have different options. Their quote was between $12,000 and $13,000 for the felt and composite shingle. I was pretty happy about the price. Later, they came back and did further investigation. They said in order to do this, you need other add-ons. The roof will be inspected separately in different phases. They said I had to do the roofing twice. But they don't know. I did pay for more material labor to just put a cover on in order to pass city inspection and keep the project going. Before the final inspection, the temporary cover has to be pulled up and replaced with permanent material. They did that in the first visit. It's in the subsequent visit, they said you have to do the roofing twice. Basically, they are not very familiar with the actual practice. You are dealing with new roof on new construction. That's why I went with somebody else that deals with new construction. I think they are super because they have a lot of information for you. They keep on sending you roofing tips. They are not good at new construction but at least they try their best to come up with education for re-roofing. They have website that lists their past customers and the roofing materials that they use. The website even has their address. You can visit the property and take a look to get a real feeling about the final look. That's neat. They are pretty good.

I decided to go with a different company for the following reasons.
1. they did not use Ridge vents. (they preferred O'Hagen vents instead and wanted to install 6 of them.) O'Hagen vents are about $35 each.
2. they preferred to use tar paper instead of the tiger paw
3. The color I wanted was only available as a special order and would have cost a lot more money.
4. Their bid was significantly higher than company I chose even considering Signature included the cost of the permit in their bid.
5. They did not think adding ridge vent or O'Hagen vents to the garage would work because I would end up with negative air pressure. 

Overall Signature Roofing did a great job of working with us within all of our constraints - time frame (we wanted to move in just before the wet season, and needed the roof before we moved), lack of driveway access / parking.
We contacted other roofers before, who were unwilling to accommodate these constraints 
We mostly worked with William - he was great to work with and friendly & responsive.
He helped us through the process, bringing sample boards to our place multiple times.
The crew did a good job on both the roof and downspout / gutters.
Highly recommend them.

Replaced old shake roof with new composition shingles as well as all flashing and gutters.  Job was performed rapidly (3 days) with no issues.  Incredibly professional crew with job site cleaned daily.  Couldn't be happier.

What was EXTRAORDINARY about Signature roofing was the professionalism exhibited when a small accident occurred.  A roofing staple accidentally pierced the refrigerant line to the A/C unit in a location where the line was not visible from the roof to the installers.  What was AMAZING was how quickly George Belden took responsibility and offered to pay the A/C repair bill -- I didn't even get the chance to ask!  This was a fairly expensive repair by my A/C contractor (Atlas Heating) to locate, repair the leak, and refill the entire line with refrigerant (it was a long line and took a lot of the expensive refrigerant).  George didn't balk at the bill or try to backpedal out of his offer.  I was EXTREMELY impressed !  George conducts business the OLD-FASHIONED WAY: with honesty and INTEGRITY -- values that are hard to find in today's world of companies that care first about profit and customers second.   George also accommodated my request to move a vent without charging me extra.  Again, UNBELIEVABLE ! 

If I ever have to hire a roofing company again, there's no question that I won't bother to shop around: I'm going right to George at Signature. 

By the way, the original reason I chose Signature is that I expected them to be in business for a long time.  I originally planned to hire the same company as my neighbor across the street used.  However, they (RoofServ Roofing Services) went out of business.  Warranties for workmanship don't have any value if the company goes out of business.  That was strike two for my neighbor, as his previous roofer also went out of business.   And, the bid I got from Signature was a better price than comparable bids from other contractors. 

Another impressive thing that Signature did was tarp the interior of my garage to help contain the mess. 

And, they checked the weather before starting the job, to ensure the work would be dry.  They erred on the side of caution (it didn't rain after all).   Again, George showed that his first priority was his customer. 

Oh, another thing: Signature only requires a small, good-faith deposit, unlike everyone else I dealt with.

My daughter and I both had the co. do our roofs.  We were very happy with their work.  Each day they cleaned up before leaving and always responded to phone msgs. within minutes.  I would definitely hire him again and would recommend him to all! A pleasure to do business with them.

Great. George and William are extremely communicative and followed up every question and kept me posted on progress. The workers were nice, extremely hard working and kept things as clean as can be expected during the entire process.

William took time in the beginning to explain the steps they would follow to replace our roof and gave us a free estimate. He also emailed me a guide to replacing your roof, which was very helpful. Once we got a date set, they got a permit from the city and in 4 days we had a new beautiful roof. They showed up on time every day and when they finished each day, they cleaned up all the debris and hauled it away. I think that our walkway and drive were cleaner when they left then when we began!  The men replacing the roof were also very professional and courteous. There were no problems passing the roof inspection.  I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about replacing their roof.

My old roof consisted of tar & gravel/pebbles and was at least 25 years old.  The roof has a low, Eichler-like 2-12 slope and a cathedral ceiling living room which presented some complications with regard to proper ventilation, insulation, potential condensation, etc. In my particular situation my options were to have a spray-on foam - , built-up tar&gravel-, metal-, or composite shingles roof. Needless to say the quotes varied widely. Ultimately I decided to convert to a composite shingles roof with external gutters ( Energystar rated reflective shingles). From all the roofers I talked to, George was probably the best communicator: he send out emails explaining in detail the roofing process, options, special product info as we narrowed the choices, etc, and also talked to the County's building department beforehand. During the tear-off and installation he kept me abreast on the progress and things they ran into. The crew did a very nice job installing and cleaning up afterwards. We are very happy with the end result.

The removal crew scraped/swept up the gravel from the built-up roof and removed the old tar paper. Next, the carpenter and roofing crew had to replace rotted fascia boards and installed additional wood laths at the roof edges to provide support for wood sheathing to cover the existing rigid insulation on the roof.  Once the carpentry work was done, the gutters and downspouts were installed.  The metal gutters and downspouts were extruded and formed on the spot and installed to my specifications. Then, a storm guard underlayment was applied to the wood sheathing, on top of which were two layers of felt paper, after which the shingles were installed. 
The crew was organized in what they had to do in scheduling out the work over the week they were on the roof:  sequencing, staging the materials and equipment, progressing with work each day, as well as daily cleanup.  The final clean-up was excellent.  The president, George Belden, was very responsive and keep me informed by phone or email of the progress of work and of any complications in a most timely manner. 
Signature's bid was the second lowest of the five roofing estimates I solicited.  Besides the professionalism and thorough assessment of my proposed project, I chose this company because of friends and neighbors on Signature's referral list who'd done business with this company and had high accolades for their work.
I would definitely recommend this company to others!

George provided a list of reroofs they have done in our city. We could drive to addresses and see not only their work but also the physical difference between the different roof types. We chose the roof type we wanted.

George and his team were great to work with.  They were prompt in providing an estimate and also provided lots of detailed information on the roofing process in general and what to look for when hiring a roofer.  I found this to be very helpful, as this was my first roofing project. Signature even provided a listing of neighborhood houses they had done, with the types/styles of shingles, so that we could take a drive around and look at the different options in a real life setting. 
Once we decied to go with Signature, the process ran very smoothly. The team showed up when they said they would and we got an email every day with a re-cap on the progress and what to expect the following day. George was great at answering all my questions (which is most cases could have been answered with the written material he sent).
We had a few estimates and Signatures was one of most competitive.  Hopefully, I won't need another roof in my life time, but if I do, I hope Signature Roofing is still around to do the work.

Excellent!  The entire project took four and a half days.  We were kept informed of what to expect from beginning to end.  If we had a question, and I did have several throughout the project, they were answered promptly each and every time.  Either George, the President or William the assistant general manager was available each time I called.
The crew was hard working, polite and professional.  They arrived promptly as scheduled and worked diligently throughout the project, no easy task considering the 100+ degree heat wave conditions.  Every concern I had was addressed and handled to my satisfaction.
Both the garage and yard were cleaned up beautifully.

I was impressed from the beginning with how responsive and honest George Beldin was.  At every step, when I had questions he always answered them quickly and throughly via e-mail (or phone).  I would definitely recommend his services to anyone installing a roof.  The new shake roof looks great!

The first time George came out, he laser measured the roof to avoid damaging it, showed us samples and gave us a list of 100 local addresses to look at previous work. After signing the contract, he followed up with a 17-page booklet on the roofing process and what to expect, and provided copies of licenses, insurance and permits. George scheduled within a week of signing the contract for a date the following week for a four day job. The work was completed very efficiently, on time and for the exact amount of the estimate. Finally, when I asked for a referral to an electrician, George recommended a firm that came out immediately and provided equally good service. I highly recommend this company.

This is my first new roof purchase.  I was skeptical about the entire experience but was put at ease from the moment the first worker came to tarp my attic, to the moment of the final inspection.  ALL of the workers were professional, knowledgeable and courteous.  They were more than appreciative of the ice chest full of drinks that I provided each day.  I thought the job was going to be 3 - 4 days but everything was complete in 2!  They cleaned up perfectly and checked with me many times to ask if I had any questions during the installation process.  Work was performed timely, efficiently and on time as promised.  My roof looks so wonderful.  Passersby stop me and compliment my roof!  I'd recommend (and have already recommended) Signature Roofing to everyone!
