Bellflower Lakewood Appliance Center

My 20 year old side-by-side refrigerator/freezer started to warm up although the fan and compressor seemed to be working. After adjusting the settings and cleaning the coils it started to work again. After reading reviews on Angies List, I called Bellflower Lakewood Appliance to set up a service call to diagnose the problem and take preventive steps. The person I talked to explained several possibilities but recommended against a service call as nothing was currently broken. She advised waiting for the problem to reoccur and then they would come out with a much better and faster solution to the problem. I was very impressed with her advise and responsiveness. If or when there is a problem with any of my appliances, I will definitely call them first.

The technician came out to take a look at the freezer and they said it would cost about $700 to fix. We called Sears about the compressor and they thought it would be $200-$250 for the part only. So we chose to just get a new freezer. However, the technician was very nice though and helpful. We had originally scheduled the appointment for today, Sept 9th, but they were able to squeeze us in Saturday, the 7th.

Steve came out on time and accurately diagnosed my refrigerator problem as the fan assembly. I ended up deciding to do this minor repair on my own after the diagnosis, but Dan and Steve were excellent professionals through the process and I wholeheartedly would recommend them and use them again.

I called on one day, they came out the next day and assessed the problem. They returned two days later after the necessary parts were ready and made the repairs. The service call was $65.00 which is pretty standard, and the parts were inexpensive, and I was not pressured to pay for unnecessary repairs. Even when I asked about a potential problem with the ice maker I was told the problem was a design flaw and not something to spend money on trying to fix. I could easily have been convinced there was a problem requiring more money to fix but there was no hard sell to do so. Overall experience was very positive.

Our experience with them was fine! He came early and knew right what he was doing and went right to work and it didn't take more than 15 or 20 min.

I am embarrassed to admit this, but I could not replace the water filter in my refrigerator because I simply could not get the old one to budge. It was just stuck in there and driving me crazy. I finally gave up and looked on Angie's List for someone nearby who could take care of it for me. I was lucky enough to find Bellflower Lakewood Appliance Center. They came out to the house within an hour or so of my call and made short work of replacing the filter. I highly recommend these guys. They were polite, friendly, efficient and they didn't make fun of me for being a wimp!

I purchased a bank owned property, and Bellflower/Lakewood Appliances Center was recommended by not only my real estate agent, but by several friends who live in the area. I quickly saw why that was so.
My home did not have a stove or oven, as the prior owners took them when they moved out. When I went into the store, I was greeted warmly and Dan, who attentively listened to my needs. He then gave several helpful suggestions for appliances that would be cost effective and functional. He was matter of fact, and used absolutely no high pressure sales tactics. What he had to say made great sense ... and quot; how often do you look through a window in your oven door?and quot; , and and quot; does your refrigerator need all the bells and whistles, or do you need simple and functional?and quot; He's so right, I usually open the oven door to see the item baking, and the window in the door was always something simply to keep clean.
He was very conscious of my budget, and steered me in the direction of appliances that I could afford. This impressed me more than I can say. Along with this, he made the offer to deliver the appliances to the home before I moved in, so that the final inspection would be satisfied (a working stove was one of the criteria).
I can say with 100% certainty that I will be a customer for life. This is a business man with integrity and he runs a store with fair prices and a good selection, not to mention the outstanding customer service. More than highly recommended!!

They knew immediately what the issue was and ordered the new replacement kit. One week later, showed up on time and got new part installed with no issues. Very professional! Now, let's see how long the ice maker works this time!

I give my very highest recommendation for this company. In the last 30 years I have purchased at least 8 or 10 major appliances from them. They always give great service and are very professional.

I have known dan for many years. It is a very great appliance center. You can not get any better service than Bellflower Appliance. They backup whatever they sell.

I will definitely recommend BELLFLOWER LAKEWOOD APPLIANCE CENTER to anyone needing appliance repair and/or purchase. Dan (the owner??) called me twice after the service call. First time to tell me that the parts were available if I wanted to repair the fridge and the second time to let me know that if I found a refrigerator that I liked he would try to get it for me for a reasonable price. Both men were very nice and very professional. All in all, a very pleasant experience - except for the broken refrigerator part.

My dryer went out on Friday the 13th (of all days) and I checked Angie's List to find someone close by with good reviews. I called Saturday morning and spoke to Steve who said they would be out between 1pm and 4pm that same day.
Steve showed up around 1:20pm and within 20 minutes had identified the issue and replaced the parts and provided some do's and don'ts on the dryer vent placement.
1) Surprised to find someone who was willing and able to come out on the same day2) Price was fair based on some internet searches I did3) Would I recommend this business- Yes

They were very prompt and courteous. They were very frank, in and out of here in 10 minutes. They told us we needed a new stove.

I was preparing Thanksgiving entrees and decided to wash dishes, utensils, pans, etc in the dishwasher; SUDDENLY, the dishwasher started making a loud noise that sounded like it was grinding glass.

Given that this malfunctioned happened a couple of days before Thanksgiving, I would have felt stressed; however, I did not because I had used this company twice before...both times having received outstanding service.

I phoned this company and, on the same day, Pete came out. Pete, quickly, diagnosed the problem; showed me OBJECTS that were in the and quot;pumpand quot; (shrimp, a nail, broken plastic, paper, etc); then repaired my dishwasher.

Pete gave me suggestions that would better maintain the dishwasher and would better clean dishes and glasses.

I don't like having appliance breakdowns; however, when that happens, I am pleased to know that Bellflower-Lakewood
Appliance is available.

Very well. Person was there on time. Did thorough evalation of both appliances. Dishwasher was 25 years old so he recommended replacing and made recommendation on brands and models he thought would meet my needs.

Excellent. I would highly recommend Pete, as he was very professional, responsive, and provided us with explainations as to why the certain parts needed to be replaced.

A very pleasant man arrived within the specified time and did the job quickly.

Repairman "Dave" was prompt, courteous and professional. He arrived on time and expeditiously repaired a broken drive belt and idler pully. I wouldn't hesitate to use their service again.

IT IS WONDERFUL. HE IS ALWAYS PROMPT. WE HAD A REFRIGERATOR THAT WENT OUT, AND HE DID CHARGE US FOR A SERVICE CHARGE FOR THE INITIAL CALL. THEN THE APPLIANCE WAS WORKING ON THE FIRST CALL, SO A CHARGE WAS APPLIED TO THE SECOND CALL.
