Central Coast Ceilings and Drywall

We were very happy with the work that Central Coast Ceilings and Drywall completed on our home. We were new to the area and relied on the good reviews for them from Angie's List. A father and son own the company and we found them to be dependable and professional. They came out the following day after we called them to look over the job and give us an estimate. We felt the price was fair for such a large amount of work. We lived outside the house in our RV while the work was completed, it took 3 full days to complete the job. The father and son are both very nice and we were impressed with Rory's knowledge and dedication to the work he does. Our ceilings are beautiful now, we are very happy. We are remodeling a bedroom and plan to call them again to help us finish the drywall work.

Updated, 8/2015: Rory gave an estimate quickly following my request and scheduled a crew for my work.  At first, some of the texturing didn't turn out right and one of the drywall pieces on the ceiling still showed waves after drying, but Rory came out to reevaluate the crew's work and scheduled touch ups for the following week.  Touch ups were completed today and look good. The willingness to follow up to make sure work meets expectations earns an A--nice job!


(old review, 7/2014: Kevin came to give me an estimate the same day I contacted him. He said he could do the work the following morning-- which was great for keeping my kitchen update on schedule. Kevin and Don were friendly, professional, neat, and good at their work. I added a couple other jobs I had found around the house to the work I had gotten the original estimate for and Kevin took them on with no problem. There were various patterns of texture to match in different spots in the house and he got them all right. Will definitely use this company for future work. )

Responded with in the day started work with a week, completed job in one day. The house is just a clean as when they got here.
Furniture and floors were covered with plastic all traces of them being here were removed when the job was completed.

Three guys showed up, completely masked the place, scraped the ceiling, and retextured with orange peel in just about a day and a half.

When I called, he called me back within an hour and made an appointment to come out last Friday to look at what the work was. He was on time for that. He said he'd call back within an hour for his estimate, which he did. They set a time they could be here, which was today, and they were here when they said they'd be. They came in, did an excellent, job and were in and out. They left the place clean, I'd recommend him and thought the pricing was reasonable. They are nice people to deal with. If I have anymore drywall work I will certainly call him back.

Overall the job went very well. They were very careful to mask off and protect all furniture and floors. After removing all protective plastic dropcloths, their final cleanup was excellent.

The response was prompt and both the visit for the estimate and the work were on time. The cost was reasonable. The workmen were considerate of the resident of the house where the ceiling repair was done. Clean-up was thorough. The only reservation in my assessment is that the ceiling repair was not perfect in that some areas of taping of the drywall that was placed could still be slightly seen after painting.
