Trent, service consultant, came out to give us a quote on how much it would cost to switch from ADT to POST and add a transmitter to the back door. He arranged for it to be done within a couple of days. However, my ADT contract was in effect for three weeks. So I rescheduled the appointment for the day before my ADT contract expired.
The original installer was held up on a job so Post sent another team.  However, the new team didn't have much experience on how to do the switch. While they were working on the alarm, the police arrived. ADT noticed someone breaking into the alarm system and sent the police to investigate. I should have been told to notify ADT to put the system on hold. The installers did not have the correct transmitter and I had to schedule another appointment. Trent should have taken down the transmitter information so the installation could have been done in one visit.
Except for a couple of glitches, I am satisfied with the service so far.  Jamie who schedules the appointments was very helpful.  Steve who installed the transmitter is very knowledgeable.

We consulted with our neighbors who had the service. They were very happy with it so we contacted POST. Bruce Fairbairn came for a consultation. He reviewed our needs and situation and recommended what would be the best placement for door and window alarms. He understood us, was not pushy in the least but attentive to alternatives that would work for us. The installers were excellent. Bruce instructed us in the use of the system. The system itself is very easy to use and the office alarm staff very responsive.The monthly service fee is not affected by the services purchased. For us, it includes the medalert and fire alert. Was peace of mind when one of us was away. When we had questions, Bruce was available and helpful.

Trent, the sales rep, was knowledgeable, detail-oriented and very professional.  Arrived to consultation on time, prepared and kept it brief.  He did NOT try to upsell anything, and attempted to keep everything as cost effective as possible.  "Switch Over" was only $90s, but I wanted a new touch pad as the ADT one was faulty, not hard-wired for power, and wasn't always readable.  The NEW pad is awesome.  The installer arrived on time, handled everything perfectly and it all works great.  VERY happy with local monitoring center, all employee Post team (no contractors) and no contract period/month to month service at the lowest price we found.  Honest, transparent and no hidden charges.

We are completely satisfied with our service so far.  Kenny Lee, the rep that worked with us, was nothing short of incredible.  He was extremely professional and on time for every appointment.  Not to mention he was available every time we needed to call with questions.  When you decide, like we did, to go with Post...see if you can request Kenny.  He is a true gentleman.
My wife and I did our research between ADT, Time Warner, Front Point, and Post.  We decided on Post because over time they are truly the best deal in home security.  Their start up costs could potentially be on the high side, but with their $33 a month charge...it closes the gap of the other companies very quickly.  Post is the only company that offers a lifetime guarantee on their hardware and you own what you purchase.  So when you move, you take everything with you.  What's nicer though is that Post will install and uninstall the system.  While Time Warner and Front Point also have you purchase their hardware and you get to take it with you...both of those systems are do-it-yourself.  ADT asks that when you move, you purchase a brand new system (but don't worry, the longer you are with them the greater the discount you could potentially get...which isn't much).  They don't want you moving their system so that the next tenant will buy from them.
Ultimately, you can't go wrong with Post.  They've been in business for years and years, they are family owned, and they are professionals.  Also, they have for an extra fee, a service that will drive to your house to pick up your paper and check on your place daily so that they can insure that your place will be protected on those extended vacations or business trips.  
Do yourself a favor and pay the extra upfront cost.  You save money in the long run and you get way more than with any of the other 3 companies.

We've been experienced great service from Post Alarm System because
of their prompt response and quality service.

 
On 06/05/2014, after receiving a notice about upgrading our 16
months old cellular communicator without having other choices, I was furious
and was considering to switch my security provider to a national wide security
company. However, Mr. Robert Post from Post Alarm contacted me in person on
06/09/2014. He very nicely explained the whole situation about how they got a
notice from AT&T with a short window of time . "We do care about our
customers" said by Mr. Post and he would like to provide me a better solution
since my device is still considered "young."  


On 06/10/2014, Mr. Post phoned me again that I can
still keep using my current communicator until 2016 because their constantly
communicate with AT&T ,and AT&T will not discharge the cellular station
until 2016.  Thanks to his quick response and sincerity, I decided to
stick with Post Alarm and to upgrade to 4G communicator.


One of the advantages to choose Post Alarm over
other national wide security companies is that customers can experience
consistent service from Post Alarm. They install, they serve and they take full
responsibility of it.

Unlike national wide security companies subcontracting the initial
installation to different dealers who would take 90 days warranty of their
service, Post Alarm's customers can always call the same number to ask for
assistance.

Everyone we had contact with at Post, including the representatives on the phone, the sales person who assisted us (Bob Jennison), and the installers, were unfailingly helpful and patient. Bob was happy to take all the time we needed to understand the system options available and guide us toward selecting the best configuration for our situation. There was no effort to upsell us or pressure us to make an immediate decision. At the end of this process, we were completely comfortable with the system Bob recommended. The installation took a day and a half and went very smoothly. The installers were happy to answer a number of questions I had as the installation progressed, and the cleanup was flawless. Bob returned to walk us through the operation of the system, answered all our questions, and made sure we were comfortable with it before he departed. He left his contact information and invited us to call him if we had any further questions or experienced any problems.
We were concerned that installing a security system, especially selecting a provider, would be a stressful process but our experience with Post was exactly the opposite. We will certainly use them again if we consider upgrading our system in the future, and I would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone considering a security system for their home.

Mark, the entire installation team and office staff have been extraordinarily helpful, cordial and professional from initial estimate through planning, installation and trouble shooting of a detailed and comprehensive system.  We received estimates from 4 companies including an upgrade of the previous system by the previous company.  We had an unsuccessful attempt to install a new system by yet another company.  There was no doubt Mark and Post were very experienced, knowledgeable and vey capable to install a very reliable and complete system in a difficult setting.  They did an excellent job working with an existing system which needed updating.  They use top of the line equipment and know how to install it.  They worked extremely hard to get the system installed correctly and as efficiently as possible.  It was a pleasure to work with such dedicated, knowledgeable and competent technicians.  Everyone at Post has a positive, can do attitude and works hard to get the job done right.  We could not be happier.

They are a family-owned company. I pay every 3 months. They charge me $60, that's because I don't have the patrol guy, I just have the phone. It's more if you have the patrol guy.

I have only dealt with them through installation. The salesman  was very courteous and helpful and in attendance when the system was installed. On the few occasions when I have accidentally let it go off they have responded promptly and  courteously.

They were punctual.  Two people worked together to get the project finished.  They were very professional and seem to know their business.



Post Alarm System has been our alarm system for many years.  We have a service agreement with them, and they respond to our needs professionally.  They are punctual and worked as quickly as possible, but make sure everything works well before leaving. Their service may be a bit more expensive than other alarm services, but they are responsive and helpful.

Post was great to deal with, had a faster, slightly less expensive installation than several competitors. Pat the sales rep was great. Would recommend them to anyone. One piece of advice: have them test the range/service of their cellular/radio back up system in your home BEFORE committing to an installation. We found this back up service did not work in our home. Pat was quick and helpful in coming up with alternate solutions...just a word of advice. You wont go wrong with Post.

They were really really personal. When they got down, they came in touch and worked with me really closely. They helped me to really find out what I was looking for from the system. I think that the people who came out were actually from the owner's family so it felt family on it. It felt really comfortable to work with them and let them through your house and do your security system. It was kind of an intimate thing. I mean, it was quite a fun experience. Their price was a little expensive but you get what you paid for. I would absolutely use them again in the future and recommend them to other people.

Gina Post called me today and resolved our matter. She went above and beyond customer service for us and assured me that all this would be worked out and that we would not need to worry and nee to pay anything to make this work again, we would have our remote monitoring back. 

I consider any company that has the respect and consideration for their customers as Gina (Post Alarm) showed me, is an A+ + company.

I am glad we are remaining with Post. Their product and customer service is superb!

We are very happy with the alarm service that Post Alarm has provided. Their monitoring station has always called within seconds when the alarm was activated (accidentally), so we have a real peace of mind knowing that if there ever is a real emergency, Post Alarm will be there for our family. The service techs are outstanding - friendly, polite, and always on time. We recommend Post Alarm to all of our family and friends in the area. These guys are the best - no need to look anywhere else for a home alarm or security system.

Called for an apt.  Got a human on the phone!  ( several other alarm companies didn't ever answer their phones) Made an apt .  "Salesman showed up on time, was knowledgeable: set apt for the tech to come do physical inspection and switch over , about 10 days later.  Tech showed up on time, was very competent and helpful.
