Arrow Garage Door

Our garage door would not open properly as one side of the springs had completely snapped. I searched on Angieslist for a garage door repair and chose Arrow Garage for its high customer satisfaction. I'm glad I chose it too. Doug came out, advised to replace both springs since the other side may be weakened too much and expected to snap soon as well. He gave me the estimate and was able to repair the garage door promptly. He was very personable and professional.

I went immediately to Angie's list to look for garage door repairs done in our area. Arrow was one of the companies that came up at the top with high ratings. I called (on Wednesday) and the earliest appointment I was given was Thursday late afternoon. Although I was disappointed with what I thought was a long lead time I decided  to be patient,  and because of the Arrow's good reviews, not  call a lot of other companies for someone  who might be able to come sooner. The good news is Douglas called on Thursday saying he could come earlier than scheduled -- so it all worked out.
Douglas came, checked the mechanism and immediately identified the problem. He went to work immediately, fixed it quickly and efficiently. My husband was convinced we'd have to replace the whole mechanism because it's old but Douglas reassured us it would work for another 15 years and we did not need to spend money on a new garage door opener.
The garage door opens smoothly and more more quietly than it has in a long time.  Arigato, Douglas.

Doug inspected the door and said it could be fixed and did not need to be replace.  He said if I waited longer then the panels may have cracked.  Actually, he pointed out one minor crack, but said that that one was ok.  He dropped the door down and unscrewed the hinges.  Then he put  new screws in the panel's support in new locations.  After, that he put the hinges back on. The door is working great now.  I told him that I saw the discount on Angies list and he applied it no questions asked.

I called Arrow Garage Door for an estimate to fix one of my hinges that broke.Doug Clark recommended replacing all the hinges which seemed logical that the door was over 29 years old and the original replacement parts were not available. He quoted a price which seemed fair and said he could come out between 12:00 and 1:00 PM to do the work. He arrived before 1:00 and proceeded to replace all my hinges. He was very personable andprofessional and completed the job in less than 1/2 hr. I am very satisfied with the work completed and would gladdly recommed Doug to anyone needing garage door repair.

I don't know where to start.  Doug is an expert.  It's that simple.  He also came to my home on the weekend to give me the estimate.  I hired him on the spot.  When the door came in, he installed it on July 11, 2012 and then came back at my convenience on Thursday night at 7:00 to make sure that I had input into where the hardware was to be installed.  The finished product is beautiful.  Doug also gave me a tutorial on how to work the door and of course, also left me with the owner's manual.  I don't often "tip" a contractor, because I usually think it's implied in the quote.  But in this case, I felt that I certainly wanted to do that.  Doug took great care to trim off this door expertly.  I know that took extra time and he also was so gracious about my needs in scheduling!  The garage structure was built in 1995 and we had to put the original 1938 door back on since we didn't have the funds then to get a new one.  Doug said to me..."Rome wasn't built in a day".  So true.  So true.  Thanks, Doug. Everything you did to make this a wonderful experience is greatly appreciated.

The spring and cables broke on my double garage door late Saturday night, and we could not open the door or get our cars out of the garage.  I left messages at two different companies on Sunday (Father's Day), including Arrow Garage Door.  Doug called me first thing Monday morning and was available immediately.  Based on the positive reviews on Angie's I did not even wait to hear from the other company.  Doug arrived at the agreed time, and I appreciated not having to allow for a large window of time.  At my request, he replaced the single broken spring with two springs, since this was for a double garage door.  He also replaced the two broken cables, and lubed down the rollers and hinges.  He explained what he was doing and answered all of my miscellaneous questions.  Doug provided an estimate before he started the work, and then applied the discount available through Angie's.  The work was completed quickly, no mess was left behind, and Doug was courteous and professional.  I appreciated dealing directly with Doug, the owner who clearly has the knowledge and experience and who also cares about doing a great job.

He actually answered his phone when I called:-) It was late afternoon, so he couldn't get to us until the next afternoon. He was here exactly when he said he would be, and he finished the job in about an hour. Very friendly and knows what he's doing. Highly recommend:-)

They were really good.  I was very pleased with their services.  The guy was very polite and very knowledgeable.  He also told me what the different costs were.  He was very helpful in telling me what to anticipate next.  The job went well overall.

He was great. He didn’t try to sell us any new equipment. He was honest with us about our current garage door situation and told us it'd be good to last us many more years. He did a little tune up on it and it has worked great since. We were really happy with our service.

Arrow Garage door did a nice job replacing the busted counter spring on our garage door.  In addition he lubed our old but trusty Genie opener.  Opens and closes like new and quiet again@ I thought I would need to replace it!  Nice job.

Doug was very prompt and courteous in returning my first call within an hour - and even late in the business day. He quickly diagnosed my garage door opener problem over the phone & offered me 2 options - repair it (his recommendation) or replace the entire opener (more money of course). Right away I appreciated his honesty. He then made an appt to repair it the next morning. Doug showed up on time and made the fairly routine (for him) repair quickly. He was very friendly and his repair work seemingly perfect as my garage door was opening & closing just fine afterwards. He honored the promised Angie's List 10% discount without me having to ask. What great service all around! I will definitely call on Arrow again and can easily recommend his service. A++

Doug, the owner of Arrow Garage Doors is simply the best guy to work with, he deserves an A++++++ rating. I am so happy with all aspects of the installation of my garage doors. I wish that every contractor was as wonderful to work with. Now if only he could do my kitchen remodel.....

I had purchased a replacement garage door opener when the drive stripped from my old garage door opener.  I was going to install it myself, but once I opened the box, I saw the installation was more complex than I was ready to deal with.

I contacted Arrow based on their Angie's List rating and comments of other members.  The man that came out (I believe he was the owner) looked at the existing garage door opener and told me he would be able to repair it for about the same amount as it would cost to install the new one.  He had all the necessary parts on his truck and made all the repairs in less than an hour.  We had also lost or broke all but one remote over the years and he provided us with two new remotes.

He charged me $165 (after getting a discount with an Angie's List coupon) --  the same as his estimate to install the new one.

I was able to return the garage door opener that I had purchased to Costco for a $240 refund.  All in all, with the repair performed Arrow Garage Door, I came out $240 better than I expected.

In has now been over a month since he completed his repairs and everything continues to work quite satisfactorily.

Overall, it has been excellent both times.

Excellent!  Doug responded and fixed my broken door spring very quickly.  He took the time to explain what happened, what to expect in the future and discussed other questions I had about garage door and opener alternatives.  Doug is very knowledgeable, professional and personable - great experience!

Another happy customer!   I heard the spring break in the evening, so the next morning  I called the company that originally installed the garage door for a quote.  They wanted $285 and it would take another day before they could come out. 

Then I called Arrow, based on Angie's list reviews.   This was 9am.  Doug's quote was about $200 (after the 10% coupon), and he could be at my home at 10am!  He finished the job that morning.  Perfect! 

The owner (Doug) is also a really nice guy.  I would certainly call Arrow if I have garage door problems in the future.

Called Doug in the morning, talked to him on the phone, since I was sure it was a broken spring (pretty obvious) he gave me the quote over the phone. He could make it out between 2-3. Showed up on time and in less then an hour the springs were replaced and my garage door was working again.

Fantastic experience! Doug came out the next morning after my call. He recognized the problem with my garage door right away. Within 20 seconds my door was fixed. He would not let me pay him since it was such an easy fix (easy for him, but one I would have NEVER figured out). I was so impressed by his punctuality, professionalism, honesty and integrity that I will definitely call him if again needed. Arrow Garage Door gets A++'s in my book, and I highly recommend them.

Awesome!! Really cooperative with timing and very straight forward with what would work best, didn't try to upsale and was really helpful in helping us choose a door that best fit the circumstances in which we have the doors and usage. They also installed within 6 hours, which is what they said they would do. The doors are very well insulated and keep the garage a lot cooler than before as well as keeping the noise level down and in operation. Great people to work with!
