Esteban and his crew were UNBELIEVABLE!!! Professional, courteous and knowledgeable about tree care and maintenance. Everything was covered, windows protected, safety cones in place. Everything was cleaned up to perfection. It was so nice to have them work with us knowing they absolutely knew all the ins and outs of their profession. They have all the best equipment to get the job done (chipper, trucks, safety equipment, clean up tools, etc) It was a big job that took all day and it was done OH SO RIGHT! We will definitely have them on our "go to" list of companies to call when in need. A++++++ for this "real deal" company.

Vargas arrived early and spent 6.5 hours of work by very professional efficient team of 6. The leader of the team was one of the Vargas Brothers (Company Owners). They removed all the cuttings, leaves, etc.. They also cut and removed tree roots a smaller "traveler" treeGrowing under the fence between my neighbor's yard and my yard/patio. The Tree looks great and I am very pleased. I believe that the cost was reasonable and I would recommend Vargas Tree Service to others.

The crew arrived an hour late with no phone call. However, when they did arrive they got straight to work. They did a great job trimming all the trees. The clean- up of the yard after they were done was phenomenal! Everything was picked up, swept up, and cleaned up. They brought their own pool skimmer and cleaned out my pool of any leaves/debris. The pool was cleaner than before they got there! They covered part of the pool with a tarp and they also covered all nearby plants to avoid damage. All in all, a great job! I will definitely use this company again and will refer them to my neighbors.

They arrived on time and covered everything that could get damaged as they carried out the tree branches. They even covered our pool and spa which was the first time any company has ever done that. They worked all day at our property with most of the time spent clearing our hillside. Not only did they cut it down to ground level, but they dug out 90% of the roots. The trees they trimmed all had a very nice shape although I am now wishing they would have trimmed the carrot wood trees a lot more. When they finshed for the day, the property was left spotless. I would highly recommend this company. I am very picky and this company met my very high standards.

Esteban and Gilbert directed a team of eight workers, who worked tirelessly for two eight hour plus days. I only noticed one short break for lunch on the second day, but otherwise they were in constant motion. We wanted a fresh start with our yards (aka "the jungle"), and they not only removed nearly everything, but they left what remained looking great. Stumps were ground way down and there are no hints of the trees left, even two monstrous ficus trees that dominated the yard before. The roots of one of those trees tore up a cement divider into several pieces, but the crew leveled the area to fit the pieces back together into a whole. A little concrete repair and it would look good as new. Esteban quoted the job at $4800, but my wife and I did the math and figured they couldn't be making much if anything. They did some extra work beyond what was in the estimate, like taking out a patio cover and digging out the cement supports. We voluntarily paid them an extra $400 to bring the total to $5200. This is our third or fourth experience with Vargas Tree Service, and we've been pleased every time. It would be cheaper to hire the gardener to do it, and he'd be willing, but tree trimming is a dangerous job, and it's worth paying for someone who knows their stuff. Not only do they understand each tree's individual needs, but they place huge sheets of wood over the windows of your house to protect them in case a branch falls the wrong way. Highly recommended!

Efficient, punctual and professional.

Estevon and his team of six arrived on time, and got busy with the various tree-trimming, shaping, and fixing tasks. The team worked efficiently and cleaned up everything before they left. In addition, Vargas removed a sickly ornamental plum tree without an additional charge. In the end, Vargas Tree Service did more than they were supposed to and finished up earlier than planned. We are very satisfied with the results and would certainly use Vargas again in the future.

I didn't t bother with an estimate this time as I knew I would use their service based on my last year results. Esteban added me to the schedule quickly. They were a little late but explained what impacted their schedule. It wasn't a problem but I wasn't sure the weather would hold out that day. They did a nice job in shaping and thinning the trees. They removed all the clippings and left the area clean. They even removed the oranges remaining on the tree that I couldn't reach.

I cannot say enough about the Vargas brothers. They arrived for both the estimate and the actual service exactly on time. Esteban gave me great advice about the trimming to be done, and followed up after the work was done be sure that my wife and I were completely satisfied. Jerry and his crew worked tirelessly until the job was finished, going beyond the requirements of the written agreement. Everyone involved was neatly dressed and courteous and safety-conscious. They had the knowledge and the equipment to do the job properly. All branches that were cut were lowered carefully to the ground by rope. Cleanup was meticulous and went beyond what they were actually responsible for. Even the noise from their shredder was somewhat quieter than other shredders I have heard in the neighborhood I am one who hates to have strange workmen come to my house, but with Vargas, I quickly felt that I was dealing with old friends who were professionals in their field. I will definitely use this company again for tree service,

They showed up on time and were very professional. The tree was also next to the wall shared with my backyard neighbors, who were gracious enough to allow them to access their yard to do some of the cutting. They were very industrious, safety-oriented and it took them all day to remove the tree, due to it's size. It was so big that the limbs and trunk had to be cut into much smaller pieces to handle them. They bring their own chipper to take care of much of the wood, cut me some firewood at no charge & stacked it for me and didn't complain when I, at the last minute, asked them to cut two chunks of the trunk into 18" high rounds to use as seats by the pool! They used a very safe pulley system to handle all but the smallest twigs. Of course, all of this made quite a mess in my neighbors yard and mine, but they cleaned up both yards so that you couldn't even tell they had been there. I also have a pool, which they cleaned several times & left spotless! I have used Vargas Tree Service before, which is why I called them for this big job. I knew they would handle it well and safely. I really like both Estephan and Gilbert, who are very helpful, courteous and very concerned about the customer being happy. I would definitly recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I have a large lot and have tree servicing every 2 years rotating service on different trees. I have had 4 other tree trimming service providers in the past 12 years and Vargas has out performed all of them with professionalism, promptness, and left the area as clean or cleaner than before they arrived. They also know and protect the trees from a arborist point of view which is lacking in most of the tree trimming service providers. Will use them next time my trees need service

Very well-organized and large team effort (perhaps up to 10 to 12 men) from Vargas, starting on time at about 8:00 AM and finishing by early afternoon to do a large amount of work in one day. Impressive work on large, diseased palm tree which was wobbly when they started on it and took large amount of work to cut in segments and to cut up the roots at the ground level Some of the cut back trees in the alley and backyard seemed to be done unevenly Man who had done estimate was also the team leader and he, along with his brother, were on site the whole time overseeing the operation and letting me know what was happening. Offered to trim back the 3 tall palm trees (not part of the original estimate) for a fair price: that work was nicely done. Efficiently and neatly cleaned up the mess of trimmings and cuttings

I received a prompt response to my request for an estimate. I got a complete explanation regarding the trees in my yard and a fair price to trim them. The crew came out later than I had been told they would, but then did a great job. They did a very nice job on shaping the trees and, very importantly, cleaned up completely after themselves. I plan on using them again.

Hassle free and clean work. Not the lowest quote we got, but went with our hunch to use the seemingly most professional and diligent. Worth the extra $100.00. Would definitely recommend.

I am so disappointed. They didn't return to a call to set up an appointment.

Their initial quote was a little higher than the other one we received previously, but they agreed to match our lower quote as they were already there on the street working. They did an excellent job. They were very well organized, cleaned up very well and were responsive to my requests to re-hand my wind chimes from my Jacaranda tree. They even trimmed my beloved Japanese maple trees in the front of my house at no charge. An excellent experience. We had had the trees trimmed a couple of years ago by another company and they butchered the job. Vargas made the trees look proportional and beautiful. We will only have them work on our trees in the future.

Gilberto came at arranged time for estimate. I had planned to get three estimates, but he seemed very knowledgeable (plus based on reviews from other members), I decided at that time to use Vargas since the estimate sounded reasonable. Gilberto and two crew guys arrived as scheduled and got to work right away. They also did some trimming and clean-out of the overgrown bushes in my front yard, They had taken care not to damage my other plants, worked quickly but were careful in doing so. My front and side yards and the areas around my house had been cleaned up and looked better than before. After four hours, all the trees, the honeysuckle, front yard and clean-up had been completed. Job well done. I will be using Vargas again.

Their prices were very high, so I did not go with them.

This was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. I called Friday afternoon in somewhat of a panic because a large limb had fallen down from one of my trees. I was afraid there would be more to follow as the foliage on all the limbs was quite dense and heavy. The branches had grown extremely long in places and one tree was definitely top heavy. Part of the center of the tree in my front yard had died. Both trees in my backyard were unbalanced. Esteban came Saturday morning and discussed in detail what needed to be done and gave me an estimate. He managed to arrange for his younger brother to come Monday morning at 8 AM with his crew of two men to do the trimming.They arrived promptly, arranged things in the backyard so nothing would get damaged and got to work. They worked carefully and safely and did a beautiful job of reshaping all three trees. Jerry is studying tree diseases in college and informed me that my trees were infected with a virus that's caused by the glassy-winged sharpshooter. Unfortunately, there's no cure for this virus and it will kill my trees, but at least I know what to look out for and what to expect.Jerry also told me that all three brothers are taking over the business from their father and that the oldest brother is a certified arborist. When the trees were trimmed, everything was thoroughly cleaned up and put back into place. They even trimmed back a couple of overgrown shrubs beside the backyard trees. In my opinion, this company is excellent and deserves every A rating and award they've received. I highly recommend them!

I called Vargas Tree Service based on their reviews on Angie's List. All of my trees are very old & very large and had not been maintained for years. I had some concerns about my black pine in the front yard and was worried about it's health. I chose Vargas because of their reported arborist knowledge. Esteban came exactly on time, walked around my property with me discussing the various trees and assured me my pine was fine, just needed cleaning up. He told me which trees could be done now and which should wait until another time of year, based on the type of tree. I was impressed with his knowledge and recommendations. He was not just trying to sell me a job. He gave me a quote for the job and I decided to hire them to do it. It was actually more money than I had planned on spending, but felt that he knew what he was doing and I knew the trees had been neglected for far too long. On the day of the job, Esteban came and got the crew started. I left to go to work right after they arrived at about 7:15 a.m. I told him I would be back between 12:00 and 1:00. As it turned out, I was able to leave earlier, so got home at about 11:30. They were in full swing and everything was a mess, naturally. I just stayed in the house, out of the way, until the crew supervisor, Jerry, knocked on the door when they were finished at about 3:15 pm. We walked around the property reviewing the work, I paid him & they left. I highly recommed this company. It is a family company and both Esteban and Jerry were pleasant, professional,and knowledgeable. The trees all look fantastic and the horrible mess that was in process when I got home was cleaned up and then some. I have a pool, so not only did they clean the entire yard & all patios, they skimmed the pool so that it looked better than it did when they got there. This is a good company that I will continue to do business with. I have more work to be performed this winter, and they will definitely get the job.

They are very good. When we need any expensive tree work done we always call them. The company is insured and experienced. They take safety seriously. We really like them and perform good work. They are competitive in pricing but on the higher side. They are awesome and can get your entire job in a day. They come will a crew of two trucks sometimes with six or seven people. They are also professional and speak fluent english. The communication is clear and effective. It is a brother owned business. One is a certified arborists. One of the tree was dying and they did some sort of treatment and saved the tree. They know what they are doing and get the job done right. They are also very effecient.

SHORT VERSION: It could not have been a better experience. I've hired many, many contractors over the years and have never had such an exceptionally positive experience. Exceptionally professional in every way and they still somehow managed to beat the pants off the competition on price (I obtained four quotes). I almost never write reviews simply because I'm almost never satisfied enough that I feel compelled to do so. That's far from the case with this company and I cannot say enough good things about Vargas Tree Service. I also happen to work from home, so I was able to view first hand all the care they put into their work. From the moment of first contact to final payment, I cannot imagine better. Your phone receptionist was very pleasant and professional in efficiently scheduling an appointment to provide a quote. Esteban arrived to provide a quotation at exactly the appointed time. His professional conduct and poise was absolutely stellar. I approved the work the following day and then your crews arrived the next day. Esteban came out to do the estimate, and he was also on the job to supervise the whole time. That hasn't always happened with other tree services I had used before. The crew was efficient but very thorough - cleaned up so well there wasn't a leaf on the ground. The trees were trimmed exactly as we had spoken about, and done in a way that elegantly thinned out and shaped the trees. Very pleased with the experience, and feel it was also for a very reasonable price. I would definitely used them again.

I am extremely satisfied with the work done by Vargas Tree Service. This is a father and son operation and they are very hard working and honest. The quote was slightly higher than other estimates I received, however they imparted to me a degree of honesty and integrity and I was confident there would be no need to worrry about hidden costs or job mishaps. They did an amazing job with the tree removal and clean up. One of the King Palms had been there since the mid 1960's and after the job was done you would not know that any tree(s) had ever been there at all. I highly recommend them and will definitely refer them to my friends if/when the need arrives.
