Description of Work: They shaped a Chinese Elm tree for me that was way out of control and hadn't been tended to for probably 10 years. They did a great job of shaping it and getting it back under control. They did an excellent job of cleaning up not even a leaf left on the ground. It was a big job. They also took out a small Plum tree from my front yard that had died. Very professional.

Description of Work: Trim & treat Modesto Ash for beetle infestation Vargas Tree Service have an arborist on staff. He was the ONLY tree service provider that correctly diagnosed the tree's problem. Gilbert and his crew saved a 40 year old tree!

Description of Work: They trimmed our two large ficus trees as well as birch and citrus trees. Definitely cleared them out well yet left enough to help provide privacy for our yard. We have used them 3 times in the last 7 years and always have a great experience with them.

Description of Work: Vargas Tree Service removed a huge coral tree that had been damaged by the heavy Santa Ana winds. They arrived promptly not only to give an estimate but also when they performed their service. The workers were diligent and professional.

Description of Work: They never showed up for their "free estimate" appointment and did not call to let me know they weren't coming. I took time off work for nothing.

Description of Work: Removed two large trees and 5 stumps. Also removed prior tree clippings. The showed up on time were very professional cleaned up after they were finished.

Description of Work: We interviewed 3 services and wanted a company who knew what they were doing trimming large trees and vines. They are certified arborists and know HOW to trim without killing or harming the plant. Wish they did maintenance ! Family owned and been in business for 24+ yrs. jerry youngest son was our project manager. They were the professional and it looks great. Crape Myrtle was cut back no leaves -had been badly cut before - already it has sprouted new leaves and it's only been 4 weeks ! Prices of all three were in ball park for trimming 2 trees and 4 bushes and our large vine around the deck. Will hire again.

They finished the work in the amount of time given during the estimate. They cleaned the yard where it looked like they had not even been there. I will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I found Vargas on the Angie's list. Once I made my appointment, they sent out Gilberto Vargas to make the estimate. He was prompt and knowledgeable, gave me the best estimate and was able to diagnose what was ailing a couple of my trees. He also came out with the crew that did the actual trimming and supervised the job. They arrived on time (even a bit early!), worked steadily and cleaned up everything. I plan on using them again and have recommended them to my neighbors.
