OK, but they had to come back for one of the palm trees. They came to finish like I wanted.

They did a wonderful job in a reasonable amount of time. They were very clean and were careful of my property and that of my neighbors. I was concerned because the tree was so large, but they knew exactly what they were doing. A very professional job...thanks.

They came in pretty cheap which actually kind of scared me a little bit. But the guy was really nice. In California we've got like El Nino so it rained a lot so they can't really do anything in that rain. I called them on President's Day weekend on a Saturday and that was the second time I called him. He gave me a quote over text message, and I 'll be honest with you is not the best thing to do, because I don't know what I am buying. If I texted you $1200  you would be like; what am I getting? I told him I don't mind paying him $1200 but what am I getting? He said he would get me the quote that day and he didn't get it to me. I called him because for that cheap price, obviously anything that's cheap you have to throw in more elbow grease. So I called him again and he said he would get me a quote by Monday which was President's Day and he never got back to me. He texted me later that week asking when I wanted to get started on the job. I let him know that I ended up choosing somebody else. He talked a good game and I am not sure if that is game or whatever but I don't know his experience. He is done well on Angie's List, but sometimes certain companies are good at one thing. You get what you pay for. The guys is really nice and pretty punctual. But because he is at such a low price I bet he is chasing every lead he can get. He is really nice but never gave me an official quote.

Excellent work. Sotero showed up for an estimate and was able to fit me in the next day. I'm not sure that's their normal timing, but I was around and it definitely worked for me. The guys were there around 1:30, done just before 5. The place was clean, the trees were done beautifully and they were nothing but professional and kind. We have lights hanging between a few of the trees which they were able to remove from their anchors and reattach - they didn't break any nor did I have any concern while they were working on it. I'd absolutely call them again to have more work done.

They arrived on time and just got to working. Very impressive work ethic, no dawdling while on the job. While one man was cutting back the elm trees, two others were cutting the huge limbs into smaller pieces and taking them out to the shredder. I'm not sure how many hours they were here working away, but long enough that they took a lunch break. The crew were friendly and listened to my concerns about the tree limbs over-hanging the garage and another backyard building. They were almost done with it all, when I decided to ask them if they could also remove the lemon tree. No problem, it was done within 15 minutes for another $200. Don't know if I over-paid for that or not, but it is gone now and I'm glad I asked them to do it. The total price seemed high to me, but what do I know? This was the first time I had ever hired a crew to do this kind of work. Over all, I would definitely call them again. They knew what they had to do and just did it.

They were faster and quieter than I expected did a good job and even provided some dirt to replace the hole from the removed stumps. Very professional and polite. Only took check's not credit card for payment but otherwise was better than i expected did the work in about 5 hours and for 15% less than the next best estimate i got who had planned it would take 6 hours.

I have used this company before,and they were good, so I gave them another shot. They showed up within an hour and a half after I called to give me an estimate. Their price was competitive, and they were responsive, so I went with them. They were flexible and able to schedule the job soon, and they arrived on time and completed all the work in 2 hours flat, which was amazing. They were incredibly careful about the surrounding plants, the neighbors' yards, and cleaned up our entire yard when they finished. I'd say these guys are rock stars. I will continue to use them and recommend them highly.

Very professional from beginning when getting estimate to end cleaning up the work. Getting estimate was punctional. He addressed my concerns of the tree removal even before I voiced them. I choose them because they were the most reasonable price, they don't hire outsiders and its a family run business and of course because they clearly understood my concerns and address them. Crew arrive on time and sharpen their tools and it was the way they did it that told me that they took pride in their work. The crew did a good job of removing two very tall and overgrown pine trees which include the tree stump. The clean up was even better than before they came which also signal how much they took pride of their work. They had the truck to shred the tree and to haul it away. Even after the work was done they ask me if I had any concern instead of just taking the check and leaving. So they have a good follow-through from beginning to end. Would I recommend them to others that would be a definite YES. In fact I will be referring them to my aunt and mom who need similar work done in addition of getting our tree trim on regular basis

It's fine he was nice and everything but I found someone who was pretty much cheaper.

They were great! It went really well and I would definitely recommend them to others. I wish the pricing was a little cheaper though.

They were excellent. They were on time. They were very polite. They worked hard. What would have taken another company three days to finish, they finished it in a day-and-a-half because the one Eucalyptus tree had to be at least 70 feet tall. It was huge. I called them and they were here within two days maybe even the next day. The whole crew was just so professional. We were just amazed watching them.

The crew led by David did exceptional work.  Could not be more pleased.  Prompt service.  Attention to detail.  Carefully removed tree roots all over yard and cleaned entire work area.  Wish I had known about Sotero Fernandez Tree Service years ago.  Family owned and operated makes a difference.  Will refer friends and family.

Making the appointment was fast and easy. The man who negotiated the price and the work was pleasant and very cooperative. The workers arrived just as we had agreed, right on the day and time, and began work to remove our three story tree. The tree was out before lunch, but they stayed and got out all the damaging roots as well. They were so efficient and professional, we bargained to remove another tree stump in our yard. 
I would definitely recommend Sotero Fernandez Tree Service! If I remove another tree from my property, this is who I'm going to call.

It went great.  The owner answered my initial call and made an appointment to come the next day for an estimate.  He showed up as promised and gave a competitive estimate.  We set the date for the work, and his crew arrived on time and worked quickly and well, cleaning up after themselves.
I will continue using this provider for future tree maintenance.
