Jeff Moving and Storage

They left us high and dry.  They quoted us a price of $55 per hour for 2 men and a 26 foot truck and when they showed up, they said they had to add another man, which was totally ridiculous.  It was only a 2 bedroom apartment.  They said it would cost me another $29 an hour for this other man.  Also they were late by 2 hours and showed up with a small truck and told us it would take 2 loads.  They also said I had to pay up front or they would not move us.  I told them I have never paid up front on just as "estimate" of what they thought it would take to move.  The guy said he would go call his supervisor.  He left and never came back.  I tried calling the company and the guy said I would have to call the owner.  When I tried that number, it sounded like the same guy on the recording and I left a message and NEVER got a call back.  They left us hanging and  desparate.  NEVER use this scam of a compnay.  I got them out of the Pennysaver.  I plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau.  They should not be in business.  I googled this company and read some reviews that were not good.  They pulled the same scam on other people like they did with us.

They were referred to us by my mother. We did not like them. It did not work out well. They gave us the estimate and then they moved the things in the truck and they said it was more than they thought so it would cost us more. They had our stuff in the truck and changed the rate significantly. They did not have enough boxes so they bought the boxes at the retail price and charged us for the boxes. When the original movers came out with 3 or 4 used boxes they didn?t use the new boxes. They quoted around $800 or $1000 and then they charged us around $1500 or $2000. They did not label the boxes well so we did not know which boxes went into which room. It turned out to be a 2 days move instead of one day. I would never use them again.
