My nightmare started on February 3, 2014 when I found four tiles coming up to a peak on my kitchen floor. I called my handyman to come and see if he could find out what was causing it. After pulling out the dishwasher and finds that is soaking wet underneath and determine that it was not the dishwasher causing the problem. He took up the tiles that were on the board underneath the sink of my cabinet and it was soaking wet. In order to find the leak he had to remove the tank of the Culligan's water purifier. He had to remove the plumbing in order to get the tank out When he removed the tank he found the source of the water. The water was not dripping it was running full force. The red tubing split at the crimp connector on supply shut-off valve. The tank was covering this area and had to be removed to expose the valve for the repair. The hoses were too short and this was the only place Culligan could put the tank it was right in front of the shut off valve. My handyman shut off the water. There was water underneath my linoleum and the tiles. Culligan came on February 4, 2014 and on his service order it said it was a broken and worn out 1/4 inch supply tubing. Maintenance agreement on the service order says replacements of filters and other components. He did not do the maintenance that he should have done. on Jan. 17, 2014. He put all new hoses about 3 times longer and pushed to the far right. Also he put all new valves in and left with not saying very much. I called Culligan Service Manager and he said things break, the tank was mine and I was responsible. It was not there fault. Called the district manager and he said things break and his people were trained to check and double check. It wasn't there fault He was a jerk. I sent certified letters, to the service manager, 1 To the district manager, to the consumers relations office and to the office of the president. I sent lots of pictures to validate my disaster area. The only one that called me on the phone was the consumer relations person and he did not handle this he would call Culligan of Napa Valley and they would call me. They did not. I had tiles coming up all over. There were like ant hills all over my kitchen floor and very unsafe for me to walk on as I have had two knee replacements and a hip replacement. Total cost to fix it will be $4,966.00. I don't want a penney more then what it cost me to replace my floor.
Description of Work: Culligan came on January 17, 2014 to make a routine service call on my water purifier at my home. He changed the RO filters on the unit under the kitchen sink. Which he pressurized the tank, put it back and he left. He made no reference to the condition of the hoses or valves connected to the unit and charged me $156.00. February 3, 2014 I discovered 4 tiles coming up in a peak in my kitchen. I called my handyman to come and check things out after pulling out the dishwasher and finding it soaking wet underneath. He checked under the sink and under the tiles that were underneath the sink was soaking wet. Called Culligan February 3, 2014. Showed up and changed both hoses and valves on February 4, 2014. No charge

Response from Culligan Water of Napa Valley, CA
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond to this complaint. On January 17th, we were requested by the customer to do the annual filter change on her drinking water unit that she owns. We completed the annual inspection and replaced the filters. When we left the home, there were no leaks. Unfortunately, we are not able to foresee a leak. We insure that is it not leaking when we leave. Three weeks later and water is "running full force" would result in damage immediately. If it happened when we were there and her description is correct that it was "running full force", her house would be flooded. Since the customer owns the equipment and the plumbing, our resolution was to replace all the plumbing valves, which she states we did, at no additional charge to her. We regret this happened, but it could be the result of her bumping it with a dish rack in and out, or the chemicals that are often stored under the sink.
