I called Alpine Fence Supply and set up an appointment to get a quotation for replacing our old, rusted out wrought iron fence in the front yard. The visit was scheduled for 1:00 PM a few days later. Early in the morning on the scheduled appointment day, I received a call from Alpine Fence Supply that the person who was scheduled to visit our house was sick; however, another employee would be there in his place. An hour or so later, Kurt, an Alpine Fence Supply Project Manager, called to say he would be at our house by 1:00 PM, but could come earlier if we wanted. I told him any time was fine, and he arrived around 11:00 AM.
Kurt was fantastic. He was both very professional and very enthusiastic. He showed us their license and insurance information without our even asking. He had samples of different fencing materials, and a large binder showing different fencing options and photos of actual projects where different types of fencing had been installed by Alpine Fence Supply. We had originally planned to have replacement wrought fencing installed, which was fine with Kurt. However, he walked us through various options and sold us on the idea that white vinyl fencing would look great and really blend in with the white trim on our house. The 50 year warranty also was appealing. Once we decided on that option, Kurt took his measurements of our yard to his truck, got out the cell phone, pricing data and calculator, and gave us a firm quote in a few minutes. We agreed with the price, and Kurt said he woould check the installers' schedule and call us. He later called and said they could do the installation on Monday, which gave us the weekend to do some shrub trimming and removal, and stump grinding to allow the fence to be installed further out to the edge of the property.
The two man crew arrived around 9:00 AM on Monday, and had the project completed that afternoon. Kurt stopped by just after the installation crew arrived, to be sure that we had no questions or concerns and that the work scope was fully understood.The guys who did the installation were very hard working, as well as being very pleasant and easy to deal with. The team lead was very creative in solving some problems with water lines that inhibited the installation of some fence posts. When the installation was done, they did a good job in cleaning up the entire work area.
The finished fence looks terrific. Kurt was right; the white picket fence really goes with the paint and trim on the house. We have received numerous compliments on how good it looks, from neighbors, the mailman, and from our relatives. We thought the price was very fair, the quality of materials and labor were excellent, and everyone we worked with from Alpine Fence Supply, from the women we talked to on the phone, to the installation crew, to, of course, Kurt, were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
We definitely recommend them, and would hire them again.

Alpine Fence was superb start to finish. Jim provided a quick, accurate estimate actually giving me better savings than I had anticipated by using Angie's List. Not only that, Alpine provided the lowest bid of all the fencing contractors I contacted; up to $2,100 lower than one company and for the exact same material and job!

The installation crew was quick, courteous, professional and did an excellent job. They completed all work in only one day.

Overall, my wife and I are extremely satisfied and will have Alpine Fence eventually replace the fence around our backyard as well.

I asked for several bids from several companies. This job involved 3 neighboors since the house had a neighboor on each side. At one point in the bidding process (right when I was ready to cut a deal) one of the neighboors changed their mind about what they wanted. This required another set of bids. Alpine Fence was very friendly and professional. They rebid the job quickly and came in with the lowest bid (out of 3 companies). They put the fence up in 2 days. Everything went well and the fence looks great.

Kurt arrived on time for the bid and was very helpful. He seemed excited about the entire project and before he even gave me an estimate, and knowing that I was taking other bids, he called the utilities for me to make sure no one would get hurt while digging around. When the bid arrived, he was actually less expensive than the other two (very negative) bidders. We booked the job and the crew was professional and did an amazing job. Alpine Fence exceeded our expectations. I heartily recommend them.

They were really nice. They came and did the job when they said they would, at our convenience. The price was between other quotes I received and seemed fair. The quality of the merchandise was great. I knew what I wanted and they special ordered it for me. It was a lot of work and they managed to finish in 3 days. They did a great job and I am very happy with them.

He was fine and came out in a timely fashion, but he was little more expensive than we would have hoped. We ended up not having the project done yet.

Called for a quote and they came when scheduled and gave us a quote before leaving. Once we had our short brick wall installed they arrived a little late, but stayed to finish up before leaving. Fence looks wonderful and have had postive comments from everyone who's seen it. Still have two side fences to do, but definently will call back when its time for them to be installed.

When we moved into the property, it had partial fencing in wrought iron. We wanted to complete the fencing, but did not want the expense of a true wrought iron fence. We contacted 3 different fence contractors (including Alpine), plus the vendor of the original fence. The original vendor quoted us a price that was far above our budget. One of the other fence contractors never returned our calls and one called back, but never came out to provide us an estimate. Alpine responded promptly and gave us a proposal that fit our budget, plus very nearly matched the look of the existing fence. They even were able to replicate the detail on a new gate to match an existing gate. The installation was carefully done, and although the terrain was very uneven, the installer took great care in making the fence match the terrain - it looks so much better than I expected! Since the installation, I have had Alpine come out to do some minor maintenance, and they have always responded quickly and sent professional craftsmen to do the job. Two years later, I still am extremely satisfied with their work.

Everything went fairly well. It took a while to get everything together like I wanted but in the end everything worked out. The people that they sent were really hard workers. It took them about a week to get the fence put up, but the it went straight up a hill, so it was kind of a challenge. They also did two other neighbor's fences as well.

They did a great job! They even made some changes that we had agreed on. They were there every morning on time and they told me it would take four days to complete and it really did.

The fence between our houses has been deteriorating, and our neighbor finally decided to agree with a new fence. We had two estimates done, one by Alpine and one by Bear. Bear was $3000.00 more than Alpine. I haggled w/my neighbor and we finally agreed on a fence. It went like a typical fencing, the ground was very hard, and it was hot. They finished when neither of us were here, and our neighbor is very critical. They came out 4 days later and fixed everything the way we wanted it.

They were always on time and I like the quality of their work. They also finished the job in the time they told me they were going to finish. I will recommend them because they did a very good job at my house.

We discussed what was going to be changed. The material is artificial. It is termite proof. This Alpine Fence Supply has a big yard where they keep wood pieces and vinyl pieces. They were very good. They were very prompt to help me out. They came to my house to talk to me and gave me the quotes.

They did a good job. They were always on time, and I like the quality of their work. They also finished the job in the time they told us they were going to finish. I will like to recommend them because they did a very good job in my house.

THIS COMMENT IS FOR THE ESTIMATE ONLY. WE WAITED ONE WEEK FOR THE ESTIMATOR TO VISIT OUR HOME (4 OTHER COMPANIES CAME WITHIN THREE WORKING DAYS). I HAD A PHOTO OF A SANDWICH FENCE WITH A SIMILAR GATE AND ARBOR THAT I WANTED TO REPRODUCE. THE REPRESENTATIVE STATED THEY DID NOT DO DETAILED CUSTOM WORK. THIS WAS THE ONLY COMPANY (OUT OF 4 ESTIMATES) THAT STATED THEY DID NOT DO CUSTOM WORK.

THE INITIAL CALL WAS GOOD. THE WORKERS WERE WONDERFUL, WITH GREAT PRODUCT AND WORKMANSHIP. THE PROBLEMS WERE: A LITTLE SLOW IN GETTING STARTED AND THE PRICE WAS JUST A LITTLE HIGH.

THE WORK WAS COMPLETED ON TIME AND THEY DID A THOROUGH CLEAN-UP AND HAUL AWAY. THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE MET WITH US THE FIRST MORNING TO REVIEW WHAT WOULD BE DONE. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE ENTIRE PROCESS.

ALPINE FENCE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COMPETITIVE WITH THEIR PRICING. THEY SENT A WORK TEAM THAT WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KEPT US WELL INFORMED OF THEIR PROGRESS.

DID A FAIRLY GOOD JOB INSTALLING THE FENCING. THE CHAIN LINK WAS A LITTLE TOO SHORT FOR THE WHITE PVC. THEY HAD TO COME BACK AND DO A FEW REPAIRS TO THE TOP RAILS.

ALPINE FENCE SUPPLY WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND CAME RIGHT OUT AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE ON MOVING MY FENCE. THEIR ESTIMATE WAS REASONABLY PRICED ($1600). SINCE I WAS MOVING MY FENCE TO ENCOMPASS AN ALLEY IN BACK OF MY HOUSE I NEEDED TO HEAR BACK FROM SAN DIEGO GAS and ELECTRIC AS THE ALLEY WAS AN EASEMENT FOR THE UTILITY COMPANIES. SDGand E NEVER RESPONDED TO MY REQUEST FOR INFORMATION SO I CALLED ALPINE FENCE AND WE PUT THE PROJECT ON HOLD.

THEY DID TAKE THEIR TIME IN DOING IT. IN THE END IT TURNED OUT NICE.

THEY WERE THE MOST COMPETITIVE OUT OF THE BIDS WE RECEIVED. THEY COMPLETED THE PROJECT ON TIME AND DID A QUALITY JOB. THEY HAD A VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS CREW.
