Gary Wilkes

Gary is prompt, responsive, punctual, personable - and affordable!  We met him through a work colleague who had feared he would have to get rid of his rescue bulldog - until he met Gary.  After four sessions he brought his dog to work - and I was so impressed I went home and emailed Gary that night. He called me the next day.  We had interviewed other dog trainers, but something was just "off"; we had spent $300 in pet store lessons, but our mini-Aussie pup was out of control, and our 7 year old rat terrier was following his lead.  Whether it was us or the lesson structure, nothing was working.  Gary walked through our door, and after one session there was no more crazy out-of-control barking and rushing the door.  After two sessions we had a reliable "down" and were well on our way to a reliable "stay".  By the third session dogs were waiting in the hallway instead of running out the front door when it opened, and were walking politely on a leash.
Gary is half the cost of other dog trainers we interviewed; like I said our dogs love him; he does occasionally use shock collars but our little guys don't need them.  We had no real behavior problems, just rude, boisterous, crazy noisy dogs.  We wanted good canine citizens, and that's what we now have.  He has CD's which he included with his lessons; his background is extensive; and he delivers.  Check out his website for much more information.
