Mark did an amazing job repairing the pet damage caused to my carpet. There were 2 corners that were completely destroyed and he was able to fix it and you can barely tell where the damage was. He had all of his tools with him and he left no remnants of any mess. He was very professional and I would recommend him to my friends and family.

I had purchased carpet that was removed from a model home. It was used carpet, but it had never been lived on. I had trouble finding someone to install it. I called Mark and he came to look at my house and my "used" carpet. He explained how the carpet should be installed and why. He gave me a quote on the spot and said to call him when I was ready. I called a week later and he said he could install it the next day. He and his assistant showed up exactly on time. They pieced together the carpet and installed it. This carpet had been folded and rolled and it sat that way for several months. It showed some wrinkles. He told that it needed to be steamed to get the wrinkles out. He gave me the number of a steam cleaning company who I called and they came out the next day. The carpet was clean to begin with, but the wrinkles came right out and I now have what looks and feels like brand new carpet. It was installed to perfection and my house looks great. He was both professional and courteous. I highly recommend Mark Golden. He really knows his stuff.

Mark reviewed the project and offered me a reasonable price that included not just the two rooms in most need of repair, but the entire house.  He promised I'd be impressed and pleased.  He was right.  The old rumpled carpet was taut and flat throughout the house.  Most significantly, the old, worn down areas where carpet and tile met had been retacked and new less worn seams and transitions had been created. 

Mark is a professional tradesman who knows carpet and delivers what he promises--quality workmanship, fair pricing, and a job well done. 

What I thought was only a few spots in the corner that needed to be pulled up and replace the double padding, turned into the entire room needing the padding replaced.  Pulled up bedroom carpet and replaced double pads for entire room, cleaned up cat damage, treated carpet.  The work was done quickly, and required all the furnature to be moved.   Now the room smells great...no cat smell.

Mark was awesome.  This was a small job that I had trouble finding people interested in helping me with.  Mark jumped on it, and did a professional job at a reasonable price.  He even squeezed me in to his busy schedule today so that I could have the living room back together before my wife returned from her business trip.  I'll definitely remember that when I need a bigger flooring job done.  Mark's a pro and customer service oriented....I fine example of a true entrepreneur that I'll plan to use again!  He has my highest recommendation!

We have a house that is only a few years old, but the carpet in every room needed to be re-stretched due to improper initial installation.  We live in Chicago, so needed someone who was reliable and could manage the job from beginning to end with little supervision.  We dealt with Mark who managed all the scheduling and work process.  Mark was very engaged and did a pre-evaluation to make sure he was ready when the job started.  He and his team showed up on time and re-stretched every carpet in the house.  They moved the furniture as needed and replaced everything exactly as it was when they started.  The carpets were vacuumed and when they left, everything was perfect.  The difference in the carpet now is amazing.  We would highly recommend Mark's Carpet Service.

The experience went very good.   They were very prompt.  When I first called, it was an answering machine but he called back within a couple of hours.  He was here the next day to take care of the problem.  He was very good at that.  He was great.

The price was fair, average and what I expected it to be.

Job went very well. Mark showed up on time and took about as long as he estimated. Was able to cut the carpet straight, re-stretch, and tack/glue down. He was able to cover some of the imperfections our tile guy left with cuts that were just off. Great work!

Mark came out the same day that I called to repair my carpet where it had pulled back from the tile.  His response time was fantastic and he did an excellent job of re-securing the carpet by adding adding additional tack strips, re-stretching the carpet, and applying carpet adhesive.  He trimmed excess and frayed carpet and the repaired areas all look great and are now secure.

Mark and Brian were able to stretch the carpets and remove the damaged edges, eliminating the need for replacement. They did an excellent job and left everything neat and clean. The price was reasonable and well worth it. I highly recommend them.

The best part was that he came out quickly, did the job and even gave me a referral for another repair person I needed.

MMark and his helper did the install.  Lets back up, I', a retired general contractor of more than 35 years of experience.  This was not my first rodeo, nor was it Mark's first.  It was easy for me to see Mark had years of experience.  The first thing we both agreed upon was that he stop by and discuss the job and firm up a price.  We verbally walked thru all the details.  We both agreed it needed some small carpentry details done prior to install.  Because of my experience, we agreed I would do the work to save on costs.  On the nose section of the bedroom (furthest foreward) Mark used a 5 row commercial tack strip and a 3 row on the rest of the install.  Only a pro would have immediately spotted the problem of keeping the carpet streatched tight so no wrinkles would develope later after many miles on the road-no extra charge.  It is my professional opinion mark and his team could easily handle larger projects including both residential and commercial.  His price was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive, but very fair.  This is an example of a professional trades man who could save the home owner or commercial property manager real cost savings while producing top notch work.  I stress here an experienced homeowner who can make their own interior decorating decisions and have the ability to pruchase top quality products and proper sizes and work out the details before one nail is pounded.Thanks Mark-good job.  Geno Mapelli

I had a wrinkle in a good quality industrial type berber.....called Mark based on reviews and he came out to give an estimate. He found some water damage to tack strips as he was restretching. Also found a gap in the pad - replaced both without extra charge. The carpet looks fantastic - no damage to baseboards - very professional. Would use him to install carpet as he's very knowledgeable and particular.

Simply excellent! Mark and his associate, James, arrived to provide an estimate for the work, and actually had time to complete the job the same day. The wall to wall wool carpeting in two rooms needed to be stretched; and a 4-foot section of carpet in a third room needed to be "stitched in" to the existing carpet after a piece of built-in furniture had been removed from the spot. Mark also noticed that the carpet edge to the entry of one room was loose, and proceeded to repair that too.
The work is excellent -- exactly what you hope a service provider will do. Mark and James are also very pleasant people, and it was a pleasure to have them in our home.

I was not on sight when work was done.  I do not live in the condo; it is rented.  My lessor said that Mark was excellent and thorough.

Very fine.  I called, left a message on his answering machine, he returned the call, we scheduled an appointment, he came at the promised time and did the job professionally and courteously.
Btw, this is not the first time we have used Mark ... actually, we'd used him twice before and were always very satisfied with his  work.
