Two words: Rushed job. Cracks, chips, scratches, and scuffs very easily (easier to scratch then the walls). Colors requested not provided; inconsistent coloring, and touch up painting required all over the house. The main goal seemed get out around 2pm each day and take Friday off. The onsite manager spoke very little english and was on the cell phone a lot (our neighbors even commented on it). For those who are unfamiliar with finished concrete floors, there is a lot of versatility and looks available. It can be very eye catching and unique when first viewed. However, after seeing it for a while, that wears off and the quality of the product is all that is left. Well, the quality is poor. Easily damaged: I'm no expert but think the main reason is from not stripping the original sealer. The worker's kneepads was scratching it up. The touchup jobs done were horrible. Rogo's did repaint the worst areas. Fortunately we do not have large dogs whose nails would just shred it. They ended up using more sealer and used 2 different types. The second sealer seams more durable, but is super high gloss and scuff extremely easy. Color: we selected 3 colors at the showroom (a mix of 3 colors)which were supposed to be viewed onsite during the day. These samples were not shown on site and two others were (only a mix of 2 colors). Beacuse Rogo's moved the timeline up, we only viewed them in the evening. The estimator came by in the evening and were were pressured to select. We caved. Hair: the amount of the hair and even strings sealed into the floor is incredible. They sweep the floor at the begninng of the day, but need to do so again before they seal. The rags used may have contributed. Border: a border between the existing concrete and new concrete was not initially done. I felt like I had to push for it to get done. Communication: the onsite boss, despite working for a stated 18 years, does not know english very well. When Rogo's came back to do repair work/add the above border, there were 4 items written on a work order to do. He stated he didn't have the work order but knew what to do. When I asked what, he turned it around and asked me what was on the work order. I stated 3 of the 4. He smiled and said that's what he'll do. I then provided the 4th item. Touchup painting: they are very upfront that they don't do touch up painting. Considering that we had the baseboards off, we where amazed how much retouching is required (tub, dishwasher, doors, walls, and even the ceiling of the shower area). This isn't including the concrete splattered on an outside window & wall. At the end, we were worn down and just wanted them out of the house. After talking to others, our experience is not unique. Exapmle: In the shower area, they wanted to concrete over the existing tiles...sounded like a bad idea and we said no. After hearing someone's experience with Rogo's concreting over a tile floor, we know it is.
