The installer was very professional and explained what he was doing. He verified the system was working properly before he finished. This system replaced the satellite internet I had previously and is a big improvement. Although a metered service, at least it's fairly fast -- and the fastest option available out in my rural area.

Since Verizon took over Alltel, the wireless service has declined to unacceptable levels. Calls frequently don't ring through, but go to voice mail, and even then the voice mail notification doesn't happen for up to 45 minutes later. Signal strength is minimal resulting in dropped calls and poor ability to make calls inside stores, etc - typically my phone has one "bar" for signal strength. Verizon admits the problem, but offers nothing in compensation for their low quality service, not even an opportunity to opt out of contracts without penalty. On top of this, the basic LG phone "upgrade" was defective. They did send a new phone, but weren't even willing to send the old one back to Fed Ex when I went in to get my contact list transferred. I had to make the trip to Fed Ex to drop it off.

I wish I had some viable alternatives for high speed internet.
Description of Work: I had some problems on the 7th installing my new dsl service and give the support a call after lot of delays and messages from their answerig service I finally got connected to a tech(probably from india) and after some tests he reasured me that someone would come by 12 the next day. By 1:00pm the next day no one had come so I called again and was told that someone would be here by 2:00 at about 4:00 again I called and was told that there was some kind of coil problem and would take 72 hours to fix..after waiting 4 days I called again...no updates to be had and was assured of a call back within 24 hours which came and went. I waited another few days till today and called again and was told that there was some circuit problem and they was unwilling to put any kind of timeframe on the fix date or even for a call back. As I told my father, I didn't mind that they might have technical issues but the lack of communication from a company that specialized in commuication really is not understandable. Had they just called me once to tell me their progress or a time frame I would have understood. As I'm not sure of the alternatives, I don't know if I have any choice but to let them treat me however they like..but wish there was another company willing to do business in the area.

The customer service rep, Rick, explained how the short-cut keys were set at the factory, when accidentally pressing an arrow button would try to take me to the internet access, a feature I do not have. He told me how to re-program that feature so the problem does not happen again and took the fee off of my bill. All without leaving my home!!!
Description of Work: Had fees showing up on my bill that I did not understand...like how I was being charge for megabyte data when I did not use that service.

I think I got a very fair price with the number of minutes I needed. I am happy with the phones and the features they have. I have not had any problem with needing them repaired, and any questions I had they answered over the phone.
Description of Work: When I needed to upgrade my cell phone, I did my business over the telephone at the toll-free number. They arranged for me to receive two phones and two different telephone numbers. They took care of everything over the phone, and sent me everything I needed in the mail.
