Mr. Moore has been unusually responsive, professional and thorough in assessing my pool's problems, advising me well on solutions, and providing ongoing pool service. He has been quick to respond to my needs, including special pool requirement during the holidays when I was out of town. I travel at least half the time and I feel entirely confident leaving my pool and its requirements to Bill More.

My pool pump wasn't working and I called Moore's to come repair it. Bill called me back promptly and suggested a few troubleshooting steps on my end before he charged me a site visit. After performing those suggestions, the problem still persisted. When my husband called back to request a site visit, Bill questioned him further, and determined that the problem was completely electrical-Bill then recommended a great electrician who was responsive and fixed the problem promptly. We were very happy to avoid a "green pool" and to have the (dangerous) electrical problem resolved, which was also (unknowingly) affecting our yard lighting and irrigation system. Thank you, Bill!

Called and left message about our problem, vacuum system not working properly. Call was returned promptly & appointment for the next morning was set. Bill and his assistant showed up as promised, assessed the problem, educated me about my pool equipment (as no other in 9 years had), and thoroughly explained the repairs needed. I was provided a loaner crawler while mine was repaired. Bill returned just as promised to complete the work.

He was here in less then hour. Within minutes he had my equipment evaluated, gave me a quote and I said lets get it done. With the aid of his assistant he had the filter taken apart and told me that some of the filters were bad. He said he normally carries spare parts, but he did not have the pads for my filter (my fault because I thought I had a sand filter) required and agreed to return the next day at approximately 5 pm. Sure enough his assistant arrived completed the work. He also gave me instruction on how to the job myself the next time. Would I refer him to other pool owners...ABSOLUTELY!!!

We called to inquire about problems we were having with algae in our pool at 6pm in the evening. He called the next morning at 7:30am and troubleshooted our issue. He gave us advice that worked so far for our pool without even coming to the house. We were very impressed.

We have been dissatisfied with our current pool service, checked Angie's List and saw all the great reports on Bill Moore. Called him yesterday, and he was here at 6:45 am today. Immediately he had lots of relevant info about the state of our pool and equipment which we had never heard from our prior service provider. He also cleaned our pool and fixed our cleaner today. Our pool is now a sparkling blue "makes you want to jump in it" pool, not the dirty, almost green thing it's been for weeks. Just a great experience overall - wish all our service providers were like this. Would highly recommend and have hired him for our weekly service.

Bill taught me more about my pool and spa in ten minutes than my former company did in three months. He straightened out my equipment problems, labeled my fixtures for easy identification, fixed some leaks that the other company had overlooked, and trained me to take over some of the routine maintenance myself with confidence. Mr. Moore came out and surveyed the project when I wasn't around. He sent a detailed estimate by email. I accepted, scheduled the job, and he came and did it. Very straightforward. He reconnected some pool features I didn't know about, and showed me how to use everything.

I had a pump that I had already replaced the motor on. I did not want to just replace the motor again as I was concerned there was an issue with the pump itself. Though my pool is not large, I do have solar pool heating and it puts quite a bit of stress on the pump. Of all the people I explained the problem to, Bill was the only one who had worked on pools with my problem before. He recommended a super energy efficient pump that no one else had even mentioned. Our home is not technically in Bill's service area, but he was willing to come for a big job like this. He returned my calls promptly and he was right on time. From the time I first spoke with him until the pump was replaced was only 3 days! This was great as my pump had completely quit working. Due to Bill's quick response my pool chemistry was still fine. I also asked Bill to give me a refresher lesson on cleaning my DE filter. He is a great teacher and I think I will feel completely comfortable taking care of that task myself in the future. Bill gave me lots of information on pool upkeep and he is the first pool person who did not think you had to run your pump 6 to 8 hours a day! I run mine much less and he agreed that that was fine. I am jealous of those customers in Bill's regular service area.

Having had a poor experience with pool service providers in the past, I joined Angie's List specifically to search for a new technician. Not only was the list of provider's extensive, I found the one I believe to be the very best in Scottsdale. Bill operates his business they way I operate mine - customer service with integrity is first priority for him. He responded within 24 hours of my call, gave me his suggestions for improving my pool, performed the service, took extra time to train my son and myself in how to properly maintain and care for our pool, and charged a fair fee for his services. He didn't push to sell any extra services or equipment and made sure we knew - he was a phone call away if we found ourselves overwhelmed in the future.

Overall, my experience with Bill was nothing short of amazing! I requested that 3 companies contact me, and Bill was the first to reply within 6 HOURS! He performed the diagnosis thoroughly over the phone, whilst I received a telephone call from the 2nd company 28 hours after my initial request, and did not hear from the 3rd company. From the time that I put in my request to the time of installation: 48 hours! To top it off, I live in an area typically out of Bill's service area, yet he was willing to make the trek. The timeliness and quality of work performed, coupled with Bill's superior customer service delivery was unlike any other service experience I've had. Everything was flawless, leaving me 250% satisfied, and I would without a shadow of a doubt recommend Bill Moore's Pool Service for any of your pool maintenance needs! Admittedly a novice at pool care, and having had experience with flaky pool service individuals, I turned to Angie's List in order to find a reputable vendor. I selected Moore's because of the high ratings and gave a call. Bill called me back promptly and after I gave him some basic information he made plans to come out the next day. Bill and his wife Sharon came out, serviced my filter and replaced the air pressure gauge. I wasn't home for the visit but my wife and daughter were. Bill and Sharon got the work done and gave a detailed explanation to my wife and were on their way. Bill and I connected on the phone later that day and he spent about 20 minutes with me explaining what he did and giving me a bevy of tips I am already employing. The prior poster has it dead-on. This was my first Angie's List experience and it was a home run. There will be one person I call for my pool needs...Bill Moore.

At long last, a reliable, friendly pool repair guy who knows what he's talking about, shows up when he says he'll show up and is a pleasure to work with! Bill was entirely willing to talk me through a repair on the phone and got me started by having me clean my DE filter. When I needed more than consultation, for which he didn't charge a dime, he and his wife came out and took care of the matter. He lost at least $100 on the deal by telling how I could acquire a part and fix it myself, which I greatly appreciated. I found Bill Moore through Angie's List and the enormous number of positive reports are right on the money. This is the real deal, folks. If I had had to pay more, I definitely would have. I have found my new pool repair guy and HIGHLY recommend him.

Excellent! I haven't had the best luck with pool service in the past but Bill and Sharon turned it around. They came when scheduled, performed the service requested and gave some excellent pointers on maintenance. They did a wonderful job and on schedule. I have a dog that has free roam of the back yard and they were very conscientious in making sure she did not get out and was safe throughout the entire process. I was very pleased with their service and professionalism.

I called them and they returned my call that day and scheduled an appointment to come out the following day. Bob arrived promptly and got to work. He did the work and everything seemed fine until he turned the pool pump back on and dirty water and debris was shooting into our pool from the fish eyes. Nothing like that has ever happened in all the years we had another pool company do the work. Bob recleaned a screen to "fix" this. After he left, I noticed that there was water leaking from the plumbing where he had cleaned the screen. I called and left a message. I got a return phone call, but instead of offering to come back and fix the problem, he told my husband what to do to fix it. We were still having a problem so my husband called back and left a message. We got a return phone call but Bob said there was nothing more he could do. We paid $85 for a half hour's worth of work, and then we are left with a cloudy, dirty pool and had to fix problems with the work ourselves.

"FIRST OF ALL, MOORE'S POOL SERVICE DOES NOT HAVE AN EMPLOYEE BY THE NAME OF BOB. CARTRIDGE CLEAN WAS DONE BY ME, BILL MOORE- OWNER/OPERATOR. I PERFORMED THE CARTRIDGE CLEAN IN A TIMELY, THOROUGH MANNER. IT IS VERY COMMON FOR A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF DEBRIS TO RETURN TO THE POOL AFTER SUCH A CLEAN UNTIL THE POOL CAN FILTER OUT THE RESIDUAL BY RUNNING FILTER FOR A BIT. I THEN CHECKED THE SCREEN FOR THE CUSTOMER'S IN-FLOOR SYSTEM. THIS SCREEN HAD NEVER BEEN CLEANED, SO I WALKED THE CUSTOMER THROUGH THIS PROCESS STEP BY STEP. AFTER LEAVING THIS LOCATION, I RECEIVED A MESSAGE FROM THEM THAT THERE WAS A SLIGHT LEAK WHERE I HAD UNSCREWED THE UNION IN ORDER TO CLEAN THE SCREEN. I OFFERED TO RETURN TO THE LOCATION THE NEXT DAY, HOWEVER, THE CUSTOMER WANTED IT DONE BY 6PM THAT SAME DAY. I WAS NOT IN A POSITION TO DO THAT, SO I INSTRUCTED THE CUSTOMER ON THE PHONE THAT THE UNION JUST NEEDED TO BE TURNED CLOCKWISE ANOTHER QUARTER OF A TURN, WHICH FIXED THE PROBLEM. IN MY OPINION, THE JOB WAS PERFORMED IN A VERY TIMELY, THOROUGH MANNER, EVEN GOING A STEP FURTHER IN EDUCATING CUSTOMER ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF CLEANING THE SCREEN FOR THEIR IN-FLOOR SYSTEM. THE REASON, STATED BY CUSTOMER, FOR CALLING OUR COMPANY IN THE FIRST PLACE, WAS THAT THEIR ORIGINAL POOL SERVICE DID NOT RESPOND TO THEIR FOR MESSAGES LEFT REQUESTING HELP."

Pool pump was not generating suction. Could not figure out the problem. Called the company and was told that they could come out for a $75 service fee or we could simply check to see if the pre-pump basket was cracked/broken. If so, he knew we could fix the problem in 5 minutes by removing the piece of broken basket from the pump. It was and we did, thus avoiding a $75 bill. Much thanks to this honest company.

It was a great experience. I was out of town and needed help fixing a cloudy pool that just wouldn't clear up. My house was scheduled for a showing while I was gone. I left a voice message and Mr Moore responded immediately. Even though I was out of his service area he persisted in calling me back until we connected in person, he diagnosed the problem (including an additional problem I didn't know I had), and he told me what chemicals to use to fix it. I was able to give my wife exact instructions on what to get and what to do with them, and it worked perfectly. Mr. Moore didn't charge me for his phone advice.

My pool motor was ominously noisy and the pressure was very low. Of course, my husband was out of town and I was afraid the thing would blow up or something! After checking Angie's list, I called Moore's Pool Service and left a message. William called back the same day, asked me specific questions, suggested a fix I could do myself and it worked! The pump is quiet, the water is flowing, and he probably saved me over $100. I'm keeping his number for future problems.
