Castle Electrical & Lighting

John called and texted one hour in advance. He arrived on time to the appointment. He was professional, friendly and well versed on electrical issues. He has an easy going spirit which I liked - I was comfortable having John in the house to check out all the issues. His work was timely and he cleaned up after himself. I am so happy with his first visit that I have set up a second appointment to install four ceiling recessed lights in my main room. I know the job will be performed right the first time and at a fair price. I feel lucky to have contacted John and consider him "MY ELECTRICIAN" moving forward. Thank you Angie's List! 

Simply excellent as always

I found John on Angie's List and he was quick to respond and got the work done in an extremely timely fashion. We had just moved in, from out of state, and I had a lot of requests...and questions! Professional and knowledgeable, he and his crew were neat, courteous and efficient. John walked me through the house, pointing out outlets and even enlightened me on our electrical panel (didn't know they sometimes installed them outside!) John and his team took care of some GFI issues, cut in new recessed lighting and fan wiring on the patio and installed lighted dimmers. He also referred us to someone to help with our stereo/theater install and that person was a great suggestion! I truly appreciate John's (and his team) level of commitment in helping us and his patience during this process. We will be using him again, for sure!

I will probably go with them when I'm ready to have the job done. I liked them the best. He took his time looking at what had to be done and wasn't too alarmist about the work needing to be done right away. He gave me the approximate price, but he would still have to see how the wiring would have to be put in, to get to that area. He was just really relaxed. His pricing was fair. He was great and was a good communicator. He was a little late, but he called to let me know, so that was fine. I will definitely be using him.

John and his team were great arrived on time, draped all work areas to protect from dust and debris. Very professional and fair price based on work needed. Cleaned up and we're very efficient.

John was wonderful- he was able to come the same day that I called even during a very busy time- He switched out the breaker for us and things seemed to work fine - after he left we did continue to have issues.  John was extremely responsive (even after normal work hours) and said he would get one of his team members out immediately which he did and resolve the issue.  The Wiring on the remodel prior to us purchasing the house was the issue- too much connected to the GFI - adjustments were made and all is fine!

I had seen a Big Deal with Castle and spoke to John about installing some recessed lighting in my hallway.  John came out the next day to assess and we decided to do the hallway lighting and some dome light retrofit.  We scheduled an install date for the day after I closed on the house.
My closing day got pushed out 4 days - John was very flexible and was able to reschedule the install within 2 days.
On the morning of the install, John and his team arrived on time.  We had a brief discussion to review light placement and I left for work.  I came back after lunch and the job was done.  Very professional job by some good guys.  I would definitely use Castle again in the future.

I could not have been happier.  Castle was available to come immediately, showed up exactly on time, performed the work quickly, did not give up on problems that were a little trickier than average, and was reasonable on price.  On top of it all, they are polite, presentable young men that you feel comfortable having in your home.  These guys are now my "go to" electricians in Scottsdale.  

I purchased the a deal coupon to have the pot lights installed and had a couple additional small jobs I wanted completed at the same time. John called to schedule an appointment and arrived on time and ready to work. They previously said it would take about half a day to complete installation  and held true to that timeline. The work was done with quality and a friendly demeanor. We even discussed a future project to address the kitchen lighting. I will definitely work with Castle lighting again in the future.

The service from this company is top notch. Travis came on time for estimate and new what had to be done. We felt the most comfortable with him and that is who we picked out of the three candidates. The price was the best and the service from all of the guys at Castle Electric was great. Would call them again for any work in future they were very meticulous and very knowledgeable.

Our box exchange went very well. Completed quickly after the initial estimate (which we were not charged for as we are Angie's List members). His staff are very polite and professional and John made sure to stay in contact with us and even anticipated my questions and need for updates. We will definitely be using Castle Electric again!

John is very easy to work with.  We did have some trouble with the timeline i.e. he is very busy. But once we had the actual date he sent 3 guys and got the job done. The work was efficient and they cleaned up afterward. I would do it again.

Have to say that this went better than expected.  The owner of the company (John) came out in person to give us an estimate as well as give us some ideas on what could be done to improve the overall lighting in our 30 year old home.  He gave us a fair estimate, including some options that he'd done on other homes (but we opted not to do them.)
Initially, he quoted us for a 2 day job.  We were working on a tight schedule, and John was very accommodating ... he pulled in two additional workers with him, and they knocked the job out in 1 day. 
Overall, we are VERY happy with the quality of the work done.  Good job!

John and his crew were punctual and professional.  All work was completed rapidly and everything is running fine.  I would recommend and hire Castle Electric again.

John and Matt were prompt, courteous, and efficient and did a great job!  In addition, John took the Patriots loss to the Broncos like a real man!  I would definitely recommend Castle Electric to my clients, friends and family; I will certainly call on them again for my future electrical needs!

Our electric timer for our hot water heater wasn't operational so we weren't getting hot water. John stopped by to take a look and recommended to bypass the timer in order to get the heater up and running. He was really great at discussing and explaining, spent quite a bit of time and called his hot water heater friend to make sure he had all the bases covered. Very reasonable charge and while he was there we had him bid out a new panel. The bid was good (not the cheapest), but we liked him the best so intended to hire him for the panel replacement. Unfortunately, we were on a time crunch and it took John several days to respond so we went with someone else. However, he'll be our first choice for any future work. Really excellent, professional service.

John and the guys at Castle Electric are great.  John coordinated the SRP inspection and permits we needed beforehand.  The work was done over two days where replaced the very old breaker box (1960's) with a shiny new one with wiring that meets new standards.  They were very helpful and flexible with ideas of where the new one should go.  The new box looks and works great.  A few days after the job we noticed an outlet that wasn't working so we called and let them know.  They were out within a few days and had it working again.

John came and gave us a very reasonable estimate.  We spent a lot of time figuring out what the configuration would look like and how they would be tied to the switches.  
Due to our tight schedule, we needed them to do the work at the same time we were having solartubes installed in the ceiling.  They were very accommodating with this even though they had to work around each other.  The installation guys had some trouble with hitting ceiling beams, but made adjustments so everything came out wonderful!

They were very courteous and timely. I would definitely use this company again. The cost included all the new light and fan switches.

I dealt directly with John Marenghi.  He is very friendly and professional.  This is the second time I hired Castle Electrical--both times have been very satisfactory.  I will use Castle again when I need electrical work done and highly recommend Castle to others.

John and his company provided prompt, excellent and cost effective service.  Castle was quick to respond to my phone call.  They arrived on time and even gave me a heads up on the arrival.  The work was completed in a timely manner and I found the entire team to be very customer service oriented.   I would highly recommend Castle for residential electrical work of all types.
