I needed my work done like tomorrow and John made it happen. Thanks John, I really appreciate you fitting me into your busy work schedule. They did a great job power washing and repaired cracks and chips and painted old cool decking around my pool, patio, and sidewalk leading to back gate. I really appreciate all your hard work to get the job done on time. Everything looks great! I would use Arrowhead decking again in the future.

John is the ultimate professional. When the rain ruined the freshly resurfaced patio, determined to make it right, John stripped the new surface away and applied a new surface. In addition, the water feature appeared to be a bland color, so John reapplied the three colors again until the colors reflected the appearance we expected.
The workmen could not have been nicer. They were polite and helpful whenever I had a question.

John quickly responded to my inquiry and scheduled almost immediately to come give us a free estimate.  He and my husband talked about the details of the project and John was thoughtful and professional about the timing and price.  We ended up needing to wait several weeks prior to having the work complete, but John still honored the written amount after that time period.  The work was scheduled to take a week, and it was finished in four days.  The men started early in the morning and were not disruptive to us at all.  They also did a great job prepping the area and cleaning up.  The only recommendation I would give other home owners in the future would be to cover your pool, as much of the inevitable material and dust gets in the pool.  We would absolutely recommend John and use him in the future.

Work was done on time as agreed upon.  Finish was excellent.

John came out for the estimate and was very professional.  I could tell from the start that he would be easy to work with and very knowledgeable.  He also seemed very confident in the repairs that were needed.  He took his time to explain what he would do, start to finish.  I told him we were on a short time-frame and he was completely flexible and willing to accommodate our schedule to get the job done.  He showed up when he was supposed to and finished on time.  The patio and cool decking looks fantastic!  I can't even tell where the old patches/repairs are/were!

I cannot possible say enough good things about this company. First, the owner, John Trice actually answers his phone himself - something which is a rarity in this business. It doesn't take long in the converstaion before you realize the passion this man has for his work and for pleasing his customers. At a time when customer service buzz words are thrown around gratuitously, this man truly means it.  And even though I live way out in Fountain Hills, he promptly set up an appointment to give an estimate.
Now on to the work. Louie and Sergio arrived every day on time, as scheduled, and worked extremely hard - during an excessive heat warning, I might add. Beyond this, they were true artists. I loved it when after they laid down the skin coat they said - "this is the canvas we'll be working off of." And this was the other experience that was completely unique. Most home remodel projects range from somewhere between a headache to a nightmare. This one was pure fun. They actually want your input and ideas around color, surface texture, etc., and are willing to play with stuff until they hit the mark. And they don't do this grudgingly - in fact - just the opposite. It felt like a fun, creative process from start to finish, that I was actually a part of. Instead of being told that I'd have to live with something that I didn't want- I got exactly what I wanted. Color, texture, tile shape - everything. And the quality of the work was exceptional. They transformed my plane drab slab to what I now call, "my private Italian villa." And when they finished the job, they left the sight as clean as they found it. 
The price was extremely reasonable - and there were no "add ons" or surprises like I got on bids from other companies. And what they estimated was my final price. It's one of the few times in my life when I've been happy to write a check when the work was complete.
You can go and get other quotes - I certainly did - but I can't imagine getting a higher quality job for this price, by a better group of guys. I've already bugged my neighbors to see the finished project and have passed their name along gladly.

The 12 year old lace pool deck needed to be replaced and we also decided to include our patio which was concrete.  John was great to work with.  He provided us with two options and pricing - the original lace decking or a color sealed flagstone look.  We chose the flagstone look.  The whole project took 3 days, the team arrived every day on time and left the area cleaned each night. John provided updates at the end of the day to let us know what was completed and what the next steps would be.
John worked with us to chose the colors that would best work together.  He listened to what we were looking for in looks and his suggestions for coordinating colors were right on.  He even offered to do a sample block so we would have a better idea of what the colors would look like.  When it was time to start the coloring, knowing we had to go to work, he arrived early to clean a section of the deck and colored the area with me there.  We were able to discuss what needed to be darker or lighter and he waited till I was satisfied with the color of the area.  What a great work ethic!  We had no surprises and he had no rework because we worked together to have it done right the first time.
Once the final clear coating was added, the look was amazing!  John has great customer service - his goal is to make you happy with the experience and the look of the finished product.  I would recommend him and his team to anyone.

They came and did the work for 5 days in a row. Then spent approx 5 hrs each day & bring the worker in the stages that were explained & me before the job began.

George Watson and his staff were great.  Professional, did great work.  We liked them so much, that we hired them a week later to paint our house exterior plus walls, gate, front door.  A different  crew but the same great professionalism and service orientation.  Very fair price!

John Trice was more knowledgeable than three other quoters and gave a fairer price.  Work was completed ahead of schedule.  The crew were skilled and cleaned up well.  The deck looks like new and we are delighted.  You can trust Arrowhead to do a great job at a fair price.

Call to schedule an appointment and set the time for that afternoon. Called back anhour laterand said he had a cancelllation and could be over in 30 minutes. Very impressed. Provided samples of his work and gave numerous suggestions on not only doing the cool deck. but also extending the work onto the patio. John broke the quote out into numerous options - standard cool decking for the pool and then for the patio. Then separate quotes to flagstone on pool deck and then just the patio. Told me work could be done in pieces, do cool deck now, patio later or all at once. Also said estimate was good for as long as we wanted. So if next year we wanted to do the patio, his price quote was still valid. Excellent customer service. Will schedule to have work done once other outside work is completed.

John was Fantastic!
He definitely maxed out in earning karma credits taking on my job. I had a very difficult situation and patio for him to take on as I was dealing with (legally) the old-bad-contractor-"Mike Z" who put down terrible overlay and gave me a bright orange patio. Plus, my cat was dying and I desperately wanted to put his paw prints in the overlay so he will always be with us in the yard. So, as a customer - I was a stressed out emotional mess!

John was wonderful through the whole thing. I hired John to fix the patio because, out of the 12 other contractors I interviewed, he was the only one who seem to get that this was more than just another job. John gave us a beautiful patio. My cat died before the patio was completed, but we did get my cat's paw prints in the overlay before he died and they look great!
Do: Interview a number of contractors. You can tell who wants your job for the right reasons --and not just the money. Do: Hire John. He sat down during the estimate interview and showed me samples of his work. He talked to me and wrote up the estimate right there before he left.
Don't: Hire "Mike Z of CBC."

I would highly recommend John and Arrowhead Deck Resurfacing to anyone who wants to be treated well and have gorgeous patio.

We have John come out and give us an estimate to resurface our cool deck around our pool. He gave us a fair estimate which we accepted. He then came out to power wash the deck on the first day. The second day he came out and put and sealer coat. Third day he came out and finished the job by putting the color paint on the cool deck as we asked for. The cool deck looks great and his company did an excellent job. We highly recommend John and his company for any service they perform.

After getting 3 estimates we decided to go with John.  He was professional as well as personable.  He seemed genuinely determined to make us happy and that he did.  Very helpful in choosing pattern and colors.  We don't have one complaint about the work and would definitely use him again.
