Manning's Painting Company LLC

Manning's Painting Company were very good. We've used them a couple of times for a couple of different things. They were competitive with everybody else. I didn't feel like it was a discounted rate but I feel it was a fair price for the work that they did.

Honset, Professional, hard working crew.  Very considerate workers, did not leave any messes, and did a FABULOUS job!

Manning and crew painted our home with the up most care, They really did a great job. Mat was a pleasure to deal with.
The old saying you get what you pay for was very true.

Work was done in a vacation rental condominium.  We live out of state and visit once per year to do maintenance.  Work was completed in our absence in May 2013.  We are getting our first actual look at the results now.  We are delighted with the work Matt and his crew have done.  We had received estimates from 4 different painters, and chose Manning's based on our experience with Matt Manning during his estimate session with us.  He was thorough, professional, and had a large enough crew that we felt confident our unit's rental downtime would be minimal.  His proposal included a complete checklist of all the work to be done, as well as the brand, finish and color of paints to be used.  We paid 50% up front, and the balance after our property manager reviewed the work.
We had considered attempting this job ourselves, but the prospect of removing the ancient wallpaper, re-texturing the walls, and dealing with the master bath's 16' high ceilings and 19 separate wall surfaces was too much for us.
THE PROCESS:
- The work took place over about 2 weeks in May 2013.
- Matt and crew worked with our property manager to gain access to the unit.
- Matt provided email updates to us, including pictures, every 2-3 days.
- The periodic updates gave us confidence that the work was proceeding on schedule.
RESULTS:
- One of our concerns was that the texturing might suffer after wallpaper removal, but the texturing is beautiful, and matches perfectly the rest of the unit.
- The coatings are even.  No blotches or bare spots anywhere.
- The edging and corner work is precise.  No spillovers or jagged lines.
- There is definite pride in workmanship here.

We feel fortunate to have found a painting contractor of Manning's quality for our rental unit, and we would not hesitate to work with them again for future jobs.

I contacted Matt at Manning's Painting for exterior painting of a single story home in StoneRidge, Prescott Valley, AZ. Although they were booked out and it did take a few months until they could get to our job, once it was time to start on our project, they were prompt and professional. The tenant said they were friendly and worked around their schedule. The house looks like new. Matt was very easy to work with and professional.

I highly recommend Matt Manning and his painting crew. Matt was always very professional. He was on time for all of the appointments, explained what he proposed to do, and provided a clear written estimate.  They were delayed a few times, due to weather, but did their best to make up the time. The crew was polite and careful.  They left everything cleaner than they found it and the quality of the paint job is as good as can be expected. The price was the lowest of 3 bids and very reasonable for size of my large house.  Thanks, Matt.

The guy that came out to give us the quote and look at the house and he was just really super friendly and really knowledgeable. It's just kinda personality more than anything else but we really liked him.

Price was competitive however Manning's were booked a few weeks out so I chose another company to do the work.

His workers were polite and very great with customer relations.  Matt did more than the bid called for (painting balcony black chairs plus black metal chairs for $70 more-a bargain).   In the fall Matt pointed out that the east façade could need work in the next year or so.

They did an excellent job. The house look fabulous. I am totally pleased. They have a two year warranty which surprised me in a good way.  They did the job as scheduled in a tough environment (monsoon storms).

They were professional from begninning to finish.  They took the time time to explain step by step the exterior paint process and approximately how long the job would take.  They were on time each day, quite and cleaned up at the end of the work day. They did a fantastic job of transforning my dull faided old paint job into a new refreshed and richer looking home.  I can't say enough.! I would highly recommend this team of paint professionals and anyone assiciated with Manning Painting.  Great Job.  I can't wait until I need my interior paint done.........another perfect transformation.

Matt Manning knows what he's doing. And he knows how to hire. I have been a home owner for about 40 years, and in all that time, this was the best experience I've had with an exterior paint job. I gave all A grades, despite the fact that one should expect to pay a bit more when using Manning's Painting Company. This is NOT the company to call if what you're seeking is a fast dash of paint to tidy up the place for sale. However, this IS the company to call when wanting meticulous preparation and painting accomplished on a home that you respect. I know that I sound a tad over the top with enthusiasm; but it's difficult to say enough about the quality of workmanship my home received from the two very professional, polite, and hardworking painters that Matt provided for the job.
The job got off to a slightly late start. This was due to the fact that repairs on the home just ahead of mine were going long. Matt communicated with me well in advance regarding the situation, and kept me informed daily with a phone call, hence, I feel deserves an A grade for punctuality.
I had concerns regarding the wood siding on the west wall of my home, which I was certain would need to be replaced. However, this was not required; Matt's painters were able to beautifully patch the damage such that the siding appears restored to a state of integrity.
The painters worked with quiet and cleaniness consistently provided. One got the feeling they worked as though it was their own home.

Overall, the painters exceeded my expectations!  They were here every day per schedule and completed the project a day later than planned because of a snow storm (can't paint in cold weather).

I?ve had other painting contractors in the past and Manning surpassed all of them.  They were on time, cleaned up every day.  The painters were very professional and polite. They took down all the hardware in the home and put it back.  They also repaired all cracks in the ceiling and walls at no extra cost.  They caulked the baseboards in the entire home.  I had some problems trying to pick out colors and Matt the owner helped me make my decisions.  Matt has an eye for colors. I would hire and recommend Manning painting to anyone, which I have.

Everything was done on schedule and price was as estimated. Excellent job matching paint.

The exterior of the home was in poor shape. The trim had bare wood showing which needed to be sanded. The stucco had cracks that needed to be filled in. The gazebo was also in bad shape with the paint peeling off. First Matt explained the entire process and what they would do. They started with power washing then sanding and filling in the cracks. They primed the wood trim and applied 2 coats of paint. They used high quality paint. The workers showed up on time everyday and they worked until the job was finished.  At the end of each day they cleaned up and left it looking nice. They did a beautiful job. The house looks new. It's amazing what a difference it made. The workers were polite and we couldn't have asked for anything more. I would highly recommend them to any one who needs painting done.

The painter's (Dave and Jason) started every day on time.  It was apparent to us that they had worked out a system between them that made the work go very smoothly.  They were quiet and got down to work each day without leaving a mess for us to have to maneuver around.  If they had any questions, they checked with  us first but that was kept at a minimum since the instructions from Matt were communicated well.  Matt himself came by a couple of times to see how things were going.  Every day Dave and Jason cleaned up so there was no mess left.  We absolutey were thrilled with the final job.  The quality of paint and especially the quality of work done was exceptional.  We wouldn't hesitate to use Manning's again nor would we hesitate to recommend them to anyone.  It's apparent that the paint finish will last a long time.. 

I called Matt Manning after thoroughly reviewing Angie's list for house painters. He responded to my call promptly and we set up a meeting time the same week to review the job. Matt walked around the exterior of our home, pointing out areas of concern and describing the work they would do and the options that we might consider. He was friendly and relaxed and handled my numerous questions with his full attention. It was clear that he loves to produce high quality results. They were booked for about a month out, but I was happy to wait. Matt called me ahead of time when the team was wrapping up their prior job. Two painters spent about a week at the house, most of that time was actually cleaning, sanding, repairing and getting the house in great shape before painting, so that the job not only looks beautiful but lasts longer. The team kept their schedule and cleaned up the job site every day. The entire experience was refreshingly easy and the results were excellent. We will definitely call Matt again for interior paint when we are ready.

I could not have been more pleased, and excited by the outcome. Matt was so easy to work with. The crew was excellent and made it a fun process for me to work with them throughout the job. It only took a year for me to write this, but the house looks beautiful and the decks hold water when it rains because they did such a thorough job. I would highly recommend Matt (and already have) to anyone that wants a job well done. I even had a painter from another house in our area come to my door to find out who painted the house because he was admiring the work. I have to add that Matt was very patient because I always had a lot of questions, which he patiently and thouroughly answered. I had a hard time deciding on the stain. He didn't hesitate to bring a new shade and paint it on the side. We both were always in agreement on the choice. The value for the job was absolutely worth it and I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE NEEDING PAINT WORK WITHOUT HESITATION. I plan to use Matt in the future for both interieor painting and when I redo the external painting.

The 2 man work team (Jason and David) arrived each day precisely at 0700 and finished the days work at 3- 3:30 PM, leaving the work area clean and neat.  The  men worked very quietly, save the sanding machine, and worked well together providing very professional results, and were pleasant and cooperative to deal with.
The job progressed as Mat, the owner, had predicted when he presented the estimate.  The job was finished in 5 days, Monday to Friday. Mat monitored and supervised the job progress on a daily basis. 
High quality Sherwin Williams paint products were used and the finished result exceeded our expectations, we couldn't be more pleased with the whole project, including the price.
We are planning additional interior painting of rooms and will contract with Manning 's  Painting Company to do the additional work.
