The home shopping delivery service is very convenient, however they were ALWAYS late. The last two times they have been 30 minutes to an hour late. I pay for grocery delivery for convenience, which this is not. They also never apologize for the lateness. The quality of the produce they choose is not as good as what you pick out from the store yourself. I complained about them always arriving late and all I ever got was an automatically generated response.

The overall experience was poor. It was easy enough to order online - no problem. My groceries were scheduled to be delivered between 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. So around 1:30 P.M. I called customer service to see what the hold up was. I must say that customer service was very helpful. They contacted the store and called me back to say that the driver did not show up. The delivery store, (Safeway #1276, 6500 Piney Branch Rd NW) had not bothered to call customer service nor it's customers to let them know about the hold up. I don't think I got my groceries until 6 P.M. Customer Service gave me a $20 credit. The only reason I would try them again is because of the helpfulness of Customer Service. I thought I'd try them because I received a "free delivery" flyer in the mail. Their lateness totally wasted my Saturday. I was stuck home all day. Don't know if I got the credit or not I never bothered to check. Have not used them since.
