We reluctantly reached out to Handyman Connection when our home builder, Artisan Builders AZ also known as Win Big Development LLC, refused to fix issues for our home that were (lawyer verified) within our warranty after months of runaround. Although we were originally frustrated spending money in this scenario considering legal assistance would’ve superseded the actual cost of the work, we had a great experience. Greg, the project lead, did a fantastic job at communicating what the required fixes would be, the *freshly* sensitive topic of warranty that Handyman Connect would provide after their work, and what to expect through the 3 day project. When they arrived a few weeks later Zack and Josiah did a fantastic job with the required fixes, accommodating our home schedule for work, and ensuring we were content with the completed work. I am a first-time homeowner and having a general “handyman” available has been something I really wanted to feel comfortable, I feel much better knowing the scope of Handyman Connects portfolio as well as the quality of their service.

Great. Tony Erosky was a real pro. Many years of experience. He performed the tasks very well and in a timely manner. Would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Assemble two bookcases and hang one large piece of art on a wall.
Tile work was perfect. Seamless finish. Toilet and threshold were last minute add-ons. Both were done right and have given me no problems. My house is 70 years old. There is a metal channel built into the sides, top and bottom of edges of an exterior door and is designed to fit around metal weather stripping around the door jamb and base. The workman secured the base weather stripping to the threshold which was coming loose and a perfect fit was restored.
Description of Work: Repairing vintage bathroom tile and drywall, painting and setting a new toilet, fixing an old threshold that was coming loose.

We have been very pleased with all the projects we had done by Handyman connection. Our contractor, Dave, was very thorough, prompt, professional and kind. He did a beautiful job on every project and cleaned up thoroughly after he was done. We will plan to use them again for future projects.

They did a good job and the bathroom turned out really nice. John Reynolds was a very good craftsman who did most of the work except the shower tile. They charged a reasonable price for doing the work and did it fairly quickly. The only issues I had were with some shortage of communication. Allen asked me to pick out a grout color which I did and emailed to him. A day or so later the tile guy was texting me asking what the grout color was. In the end it appears they actually used a little bit darker grout than what I said. The tile looks good though so its not a huge deal. There was also calls to me about getting access to the place even though they already had a key to access it. One of the things on the proposal was to try blending the drywall texture in some areas that had items removed during demo. This info was not conveyed to John R., so it was something that had to be done at the last minute. They were also replacing a light fixture, but they didn't ask if I wanted to have the outline of the old fixture blended/textured on the drywall. I didn't want to wait anymore days for them to come back so I did it myself. It would be nice to have been made aware they would saw things in the living room, so I could at least cover up the TV equipment to protect it from dust. Also the tile guy seemed to only have one drop cloth to protect the wood floors, which maybe covered half the distance of pathway that had a lot of traffic. So I bought some of my own to get some proper protection on the floors. If you are going to be watching them the whole time you are working then it would cut down on some of these communication items, but I was not able to be there all the time. In the end though I am happy with my bathroom remodel.
The entire process with Handyman Connection was wonderful! Allen came to do our initial quote (and with the pandemic had been the first service person to come wearing a mask!). We and 2 bathrooms to update, both needing new flooring and vanities and the master updating the split tub and shower to a larger walk-in shower. Any time there was an unforseen challege (like a split bracing stud) it was immediately brought to our attention to approve of any added costs and properly fix the problem. Mark, our handyman for the 5-6 week remodel was amazing! He showed up exactly at 7a every morning and was kind enough to work around times when I had a meeting while working from home.

Adrian came out on a Saturday to do my ceiling drywall & repaint job after I had my roof leak repaired, WOW what a fabulous job! He was courteous, friendly, & masked. He covered everything in my family room that could have gotten even a tiny bit of drywall dust on it. I truly appreciate the care and concern he had for my furniture. As a type A personality when it comes to a clean house I did not have anything to clean up after he left. I truly believe that no one can tell where the repair occurred, a true artist and gentleman.

Based on my previous positive experiences with Handyman Connection, I contacted them about repairing three unrelated issues: (1)water damage to the fascia of my recently built carport; (2) the repair of the latch on a backyard gate; and (3) the installation of a replacement ceiling fan. The work was scheduled after an initial visit and price quote, and I have to say that the whole experience of working with Greg H. was great. Greg assumed the responsibility of purchasing the necessary parts, which alone saved me the time I would have wasted making trips here and there only to come back with a wrong item or two, or the time I might have wasted going back for some part I didn't know I’d need at all. What’s more, what I assumed would be a two day job was completely finished in less than one day, and the quality of Greg's work was excellent. As I indicated earlier, I’ve used Handyman Connection in the past, and Greg definitely gave me reasons to continue using them in the future; I highly recommend Handyman Connection for your next repair or project.10

We had a few quotes and ultimately went with Handyman Connection. Mark did an excellent job building out our new shower and installing the tile, fixtures, and glass door. We also had a single vanity swapped out for a new double vanity. Allen did a great job installing the new plumbing, installing the vanity and fixtures, as well as the new sconce lighting to complete the design. Thank you to the whole team (Joe and David, as well!) - it turned out exactly as I imagined and we love our new bathroom!

2 1/2 years later, and we're still finding things wrong with the work. Pardon my language, but the level of "half-***ery" with which the tasks were completed has been atrocious. We kept thinking that it was a "one-time" issue, but continuously encounter issues. I reached my threshold today when we saw that our front door lock wasn't even installed completely - risking our security, so here is the running list (that I can think of off the top of my head): - Screws not fully screwed in (our front door lock kept leaning, so we finally looked at it, and instead of drilling a screw into the door, found that they simply broke off the end of a screw and left it at that. - Crooked dry wall. As we installed shelves, we had to custom cut every area, because the drywall they installed was uneven and mis-matched (this was not a product of the house "settling" - this was discovered immediately after the work was done. - Plumbing fixtures - all are loose and not fully secured to the walls. - Wiring not installed to code. - Door trim was installed crooked - Light switch and outlet face plates installed poorly - asked for them to come back and fix (which they did), but then found that they simply "jerry-rigged" it behind b screwing the plates less securely - Drywall was also broken behind areas - it was just covered up. When we brought this to them, they simply said "make a punch list and we'll get to it" - this was after them coming back multiple times - the owner was "unavailable" (or unwilling) to do a walk through with us when we tried to discuss this. - Installed all doors incorrect (1 1/2 inches off the ground). When I asked about it, they said that was "standard" and that we just needed to install "sweeps" under them so they would match the flooring. We let them install that, and they botched that as well. - Door handles and locks were installed backwards and upside down. - Texturing of walls after drywall repair: Was ridiculously mismatched (even to the untrained eye). When we pointed it out, they said "it is more of an art than a science." My husband took a can of drywall texture and did it himself because we had painters coming in and cabinets being installed, and they couldn't (or wouldn't?) get it fixed in enough time. - Tile unevenly installed, "shorting" areas so that if we ever change the size of our appliances, there will be significant gaps (we just experienced this with a door we recently installed) They were ready, willing, and able when there was money to be paid, and were vigilant about collecting, but when we tried to get someone to look at it, it was all promises/talk and no action. I will admit that I am writing this review while frustrated, but the fact that the services were performed in 2017 and we are STILL finding issues would make the most reasonable person react. I would say "you get what you pay for" but in this case, we are paying for it to this day. Please let this be a cautionary tale when considering this company.

We're disappointed to see your review. We are always willing to come back and make things right when our clients aren't completely satisfied. As you mentioned, we completed the project at your home over two years ago. Shortly after we completed, your husband reached out to us about a couple of small items that we would we're happy to take care of. We responded and asked if he could send a detailed list, so we could schedule the appropriate craftsmen, and unfortunately, he didn't get back to us to schedule a time. If you would like to discuss any of this in detail, please feel free to give us a call. Thank you. Allen, Owner of Handyman Connection

I have used Handyman Connection multiple times in the last few months. Every time the experience has been great. I have been able to get appointments quickly. Most jobs they can quote you and do the job the same day. Prices are reasonable, especially being mindful that you get what you pay for. A couple of times I tried different installation services with items I ordered online and ended up calling Handyman Connection to come fix the bad install. Likely you will find a tech at handyman connection you prefer - it is easy to request them on future appts/services. My favorite tech is Greg Hancock. He's helped me with everything from installing lighting and outlets to repairing plumbing that another companies technician messed up. They have become my number one trusted expert for all those jobs I just don't want to DIY or need fixed in a pinch! I definitely recommend using Handyman Connection of Phoenix!
