Great job. Had an expert with them for each phase of service: estimate, install, post install quality check. I am pretty technically inclined myself, so I put my nose in everything and saw very high level of quality and good attitude in the team doing the work.

I had called and thought they said they did not charge a diagnostic fee if work was done. This was contested by the company. The serviceman came to insulate the unit, found out it was already insulated, then started doing work and looking for what was wrong after showing me the split was too high. I did not ask for this service to be done, and when asked the cost, said he didn't know, had to see what was wrong first. One hour later he had cleaned out the system.

Workers arrived on time. Work was done in a very professional manner. There was a delay because the stand & ducts which were previously measured where incorrect & had to be redone. But the job was completed that day as they said without any inconvenience to us. Everything was cleaned up before they left.

I contacted Day & Night Air Conditioning about obtaining a quote to replace our aging air conditioning system. They were quick to set up an appointment with Phil and said a consultation would take a couple of hours. Phil called a few hours before our appointment to say that he was a bit early and wondered if we could move up our appointment, which was not a problem for me. When he arrived, he handed me a folder containing information about the company, including their staff, industry certifications, their licenses, insurance and most importantly, information about their 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee. He then asked me many questions about our system, if we had any trouble spots and what our budget was. He went into the attic, examined the ductwork, the connection from the roof into the attic and climbed onto the roof to look at the system itself. He turned on the AC and checked the airflow from each register in the house and performed a heat load calculation. Phil then explained why he thought we were experiencing some problems with consistent room temperatures and offered solutions. He went over the systems that they install and patiently answered any questions that I had about the Trane system we were interested in, their installation process and the company. He did not pressure me and does not have that salesperson personality, which was refreshing. He provided me with a detailed quote that afternoon and it was very competitive with the other quotes we had obtained. After our meeting, he followed up a couple of days later to ask if I had any additional questions. I did and he again answered each question thoroughly. He gave me a few references to contact about their company and work as well. Phil also sent a hand-written thank you note, which was a nice surprise. Although we ultimately chose a company with whom we already had a relationship, I would recommend Day & Night Air Conditioning and specifically, Phil with complete confidence that you will be happy.

Ken took his time to check all electrical connections, Freon charges, and cleaned the coils on each unit. He determined why the filter keeps flying out of the bracket on the unit in the Casita and remedied that problem by closing the vent closest to the filter and creating a couple of cardboard wedges to help hold the filter in place. He found the warranty packet up in the attic when he went up to service the house units. The installing contractor obviously left this information in the ceiling during installation 4 1/2 years ago. (How stupid is that???) He explained that one of the house units had a "hard start" installed on the unit and said the installing contractor probably put it on there when the unit wouldn't start. He said that was a less expensive solution that replacing the whole unit. He said sometimes that shortens the life of the unit, but shouldn't be a problem if it's been on there from the beginning.

A roofer moved my A/C units and didn't tell me about it. For months two A/C units had been drawing in outside air, and I was worried the coils would be covered with pigeon feathers. I had the roofers seal up the units first, then called Day & Night to check things out. I called Day & Night and setup an appointment for Friday. They called Friday to reschedule at the last minute, but brought someone out the next day (Saturday) to service my units. The serviceman, Ron, arrived on time, listened to my situation, and gave me several options regarding services and costs. He showed me the internal coils, confirmed the roofers had adequately patched the gap between the roof and A/C units, and checked the freon levels and cooling efficiency of the units. No repairs or coil cleaning were needed.

I called today to find out when they could come out and do a regular service check on our two air conditioners. To my surprise they were able to come out the same day. There were two technicians who came out and they were both friendly/professional and seemed to do a very thorough job. They even cleaned all of our filters for me. It was a positive experience and we will use them again in the fall (the cost of $250 includes the fall visit).

He was very nice and the repair was reasonable.

Air handler was old and leaking. They recommended replacement. After installation of new air handler, compressor switched "off" on it's own a couple of times due to a lack of compatibility. They came back promptly to reset. An additional device was then installed at no additional charge, and the system has performed fine. Also had an air handler installed in another condo a couple of years back. All in all a great group of people who get the job done.

TERRY IS ONE OF THE OWNERS. SHE IS VERY NICE TO WORK WITH. SERVICE MEN WERE VERY COMPETENT. THEY TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES WELL SO YOU GET A PERSON THAT'S VERY CAPABLE. THEIR PRICES MAY BE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHERS INITIALLY, BUT IN THE LONG RUN YOU SAVE IN COST OF REPLACING UNITS. AGAIN, THE PEOPLE ARE VERY CAPABLE COMPARED TO THE 'KIDS' YOU GET FROM COMPANIES LIKE CHAS ROBERTS.

SERVICEMAN WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND TIMELY WHEN RESPONDING TO THE SERVICE CALL. DID NOT APPEAR TO WANT TO SELL PRODUCTS THAT WERE NOT NEEDED. VERY PERSONABLE.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE USED THEIR SERVICE. THEY WERE PROMPT, COURTEOUS AND RESPONDED QUICKLY ON A VERY HOT DAY. COST WAS CLOSE TO WHAT I EXPECTED.
