We and quot;made the roundsand quot; with our 2 standard poodles...always expensive and always a HUGE disappointment UNTIL WE FOUND MICHAEL, the owner/groomer at BACKROOM GROOM. We have NEVER been disappointed in his METICULOUS work. Our dogs leave looking, truly, like show dogs! Michael is a perfectionist in grooming them and satisfied only when each leg looks like a pillar, and they are and quot;evenlyand quot; clipped/groomed/brushed out from EVERY angle : front, sides and back. He takes great pride in his work. He is very loving and gentle with our 2 boys, never surly or impatient and treats them as his own....with a loving hand and a loving disposition. The boys are always happy to see Michael..their own testimonial for sure!
After having so many groomers taking short cuts and not to do their job well....like time and again completely shaving the 2 dogs' legs saying they were matted (we take them for grooming too often for any significant matting!), clipping them unevenly, cutting toenails too close resulting in bleeding...in general lack of both skill and patience... finding Michael was a miracle! Really. We have been customers for almost 2 years now and would never take our boys anywhere else. I HIGHLY recommend Backroom Groom for your dog...whatever the breed you will be amazed at his professional work and the high standards to which he holds himself.

I will be a consistent customer for Backroom Groom. Michael and his associates are very nice, timely, they do the dogs just as I ask, they are finished with them quickly so I don't have to leave them there all day. I'm quite happy with the service I've received there. I discovered them toward the end of 2012 and have used them into 2013 already. The date noted above is fictional. The system won't let me close this without a date.

I'm new in Phoenix and still looking for my services. Based on a recommendation from a new friend, I took my 3 Shih Tzu's to Backroom Grooming. They were quite the mess, long overdue for a bath. Michael did them just the way I asked. They now smell good, look even better and he had them back to me in just 3 hours. Michael's price was almost as good as I paid in Tucson. Michael now has a new steady customer. I'm taking the 2 big dogs in on Friday.
