Auto Service
Well, let me start by saying I've used these guys for over 10 years and always owed older cars that needed repairs. When I first started going to them over 10 years ago they were great. The 2 owners (Dave and Gary) were very honest and ran a great shop. I do most of my own car repairs (when I have time), but I don't touch the engine or transmission. I knew they were not BS'ing me when I'd bring them things to repair, and the service was great, and the price was ok (but they were honest)
Sometime over the last 2 years they promoted a service tech to the desk job who now handles most of the customers and advises the techs on what should/shouldn't be repaired, or recommended to be repaired (I think his name is Jason). He's a d*****, and he's there to impress his bosses and get every nickel he can out of you. I even expressed my and quot;concernsand quot; about him to Gary, an owner, when he was dropping me off at work one day when I brought my car in for repair.
Sometime last year something didn't feel right about the number of items they were telling me were wrong, or in and quot;dire need of repairand quot;.
I brushed it off since I'd had them do over 20 repairs for me in the past. This last time, though, was what made me promise myself never to bring my cars back there. Among other things, one of the items they told me I really needed was new struts. They qouted me something like $830 over the phone while my car was there getting something repaired, for strut replacement. When I got there the next day to pay for the hub assembly they were fixing I asked them what was really wrong with the struts and why they needed to be replaced. They told me and quot;we'll.... they squeak, its a noise you hear when you turn the carand quot;....ok And when I looked down I noticed it was for only 2 struts!! $830 for 2 struts.
I told them I'm glad I didn't authorize that repair since I though the price was for 4. They told me how much work and time it was, and $830 is good price. I laughed, asked them how many hours that charge was for, and they said 6 hours of labor on 2 nissan maxima front struts. That was when I knew I was being had.
You or I, unskilled, having never replaced a strut before, could do this job in our own garage, with less equipment they they have, in under 4 hours. 2 hours if you know what you're doing.

They are honest and do excellent work. They stand by their work and that is most important. I think their pricing is very good. It's fairly priced. I think that you get what you pay for. I would use them again.
