About us

We have been in the pool and spa business for nearly 50 years. We repair and replace equipment on pools and spas. Heater and heat pump repair and replacement. Our repair department has been trained in all of the latest pool and spa equipment. We are members of the Arizona Pool Dealers Association. Our repair department has over 200 years of combine experience in the pool and spa industry. With an 18,000 sq ft warehouse we specialize in hard to find parts. We have six valley locations that carry everything you need for your pool or spa. This includes chemicals and ancillaries to brushes and poles and toys and lounges.

Aaron came out at the last minute to handle our job. He was extremely professional and pleasant and most importantly, honest. He evaluated our sand filter and determined it was good for another year even though he could have told us it needed replacing. I would recommend B & L Pools to anyone who wants quality work and fair pricing.

I dropped off my pool vac the very next morning.  I got there a minute or two after their opening time.  Another woman was already there waiting.  Ralph finally showed up almost 15 minutes after he was supposed to open w/no explanation or apology.  NOT a good start.  I was doing some errands the next afternoon and since I was in the general vicinity I thought I would call them to see if it was ready.  Ralph answered the phone and put me on hold.  I accidentally pressed the wrong key and hung up on him.  So, I called back.  A guy named MIKE answered the phone.  I asked about my pool vac and he said there was no way it would be ready that day since there were so many in front of me.

The next morning I called soon after they opened and Ralph answeared the phone.  I asked if my pool vac was ready and he said there were still NINE pool vac's ahead of me.  I asked him if it would be done today, before he closed, since I needed it.  He assured me that it would be.  I called back around 1:30 PM and MIKE answered the phone.  I asked to speak to Ralph but he was not at the store.  So, I asked Mike about my pool vac.  He told me there were still NINETEEN before mine.  I told him that Ralph told me there were only nine in front of me around 9:00 AM.  Mike said he didn't know what to tell me.  Needless to say, I WAS LIVID!!!!  I waited until 3:30 PM and decided to go there and pick up my pool vac just the way I had dropped it off.  At least I would have it back.  I walked up to the counter and told Ralph that I needed my pool vac back EVEN THOUGH IT HADN'T BEEN WORKED ON!  I also noticed a guy just walking around not doing a d*** thing.  Ralph found my pool vac (there were 30+ vacs sitting on the floor) handed it to MIKE (guess who, the one just walking around not doing anything) and told him to go ahead and change out the shoes and wings.  I was there for another 15-25 minutes, but I ended up with new shoes, wings, bearings and something else (I forgot what it was).  He put the other 2 items under my pool vac warranty.  So, I ended up getting the work done and it didn't cost me anything.  As soon as Mike finished my pool vac he just started walking around again and there were still 30+ pool vacs that needed to be worked on.  I can see why they were so far behind.  Even though the work got done the owner/manager (Ralph) got there almost 15 minutes late with no apology and/or explanation, I was lied to (more than once) about when my pool vac would be done, and why MIKE is still working there with his LAZY work ethic and how Ralph just seems to put up with it.  That is NO WAY to run a business and is not the kind of business that I will use in the future.  I would rather pay more money for the same items than to deal with imcompetemce.

I have been very happy with the services of B&L Pools.  When they service the swimming pool and notice anything they are concerned about, they notify both the tenants as well as myself about the problem and ask if they want me to repair it or if I would prefer to go through the warranty services for the company that had built the pool.  Whenever I ask them to fix the problem, the technician calls me and explains the problem as well as the possible fixes, and if there are any differences from the initial estimate that they gave.  (Although I quoted $65, that is how much I spend per month for their services; over the years I have spent far more than that).

I was very, very happy with them. I just got shamed by a few of my friends that said I could maintain my own pool and it was easy and they would show me how so I am giving it a whirl. I will definitely go back to them if I decide to give up this endeavor. I do like puttering around with the pool and I've found it isn't as hard as I thought it would be. I've been fine so far.
