Our refrigerator wasn't staying cold. They were able to come to the house within the hour. It didn't take him long to figure out what was wrong and quickly fixed it. He was very professional as well.

Carlos diagnosed the problem very quickly. He then contacted his supplier for the part. He informed us the part had to come from the factory and he would return to install once it arrived, which he did. I am very happy with the service, professionalism, and responsiveness of Afforable Appliance Repair. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend them.

So I'm just getting started using Angie's List to try to find service providers. I needed service/repair to my oven, and this company got great reviews. Here was my experience: I called and left a full and detailed message on Friday, January 10th. I did not receive a return call. On Thursday, January 16th, I figured I would give it another try. At 11:00 am, I called and spoke to a male (did not catch his name). I explained the service I needed and he said he would look up prices and call me back. By 3:00 pm, I had not heard back. I call again and spoke to a female (did not catch her name). She said she couldn't find my call and will have a "service manager" call me back. I asked how long that would take. She told me about an hour. I am writing this review on January 17th, at noon. I still have not heard back from this company. I am going to forget all the positive reviews and look somewhere else. What a waste of time.

Called them Thursday January 16th in the afternoon. Lady took down my info but I didn't know the model numbers. Told me someone would call shortly to schedule appointment and asked me if I could find model numbers for each one. Since I still had owners manual on each of them, no problem. Within 15 minutes got a call back and gave him the item numbers. Told me gears on agiator have worn away since I could manually turn agitator in both directions and said that would be $110 for that. Their website has a 10% discount coupon that I downloaded and I mentioned it to him. He said he could have someone out between 8-9 am the next day. Repairman named Chris showed up about 8:3oam. He started on dishwasher. He put it out and started it up and noticed that water was leaking for the hose on the left side. Told me that hose expands and contracts over the years and all it needed was a clamp. Hose on right side already had one. He quickly put a clamp on was was done in about 10 minutes. Went to washer and pulled top on agitator off and showed me how gears were worn away because they would go in both directions. Left him alone to fix and he finished in about 10 minutes. He didn't charge me for the clamp which was really nice of him. They have a service charge for showing up for $55. That is applied to any costs to repair so if the costs are over $5, it's applied to that which is really nice and I have never heard of that. Total cost was $ 102.61. I highly recommend this company. Repairman Chris was very nice and knowledgable about what he did. Affordable Appliance Repair is lucky to have such a nice guy working for them.

Checked it out- reconnected gas and electric- took 5 minutes - chatted a couple minutes and he was out the door.

I contacted this provider today at 11:46AM with all of my contact information and received no return phone call. I read all the reviews and read the recent review on 1/13/14 where a customer had the same issue. I guess this provider has enough customers so they don't need to return phone calls to potential clients. On the last review, the provider responded "Company Response: Not sure who this potential customer is or was. We do return our calls although I guess it is possible for one to have fallen between the cracks. Very sorry if that is the case though there is no way for me to verify this concern." I GUESS YOU HAVE LET MORE THAN ONE CUSTOMER FALL BETWEEN THE CRACKS! I contacted a few other providers on the list and they ALL returned my call TODAY. Roger with North Valley Appliance returned my call twice today. If anyone needs work on an appliance, you may want to call North Valley or another provider. This provider must be too busy or may need to contact their phone provider about not receiving voicemails.

Perfect. Extremely prompt (same-day) service, very professional (Spencer) service technician, worked fast so as not to keep freezer out of service too long, explained exactly what he was doing as he did it and why, gave Angie's list discount, went out and shopped for correct filter, went out of his way to clean coil and clean water stain on wood floor. Outstanding customer service. I would be delighted to recommend this company to anyone needing appliance repairs. Company does not sell new appliances so no incentive to find more things wrong, then offer new appliance instead of repair.

Selected this provider because of high ratings for responsiveness and professionalism. I had two appliances exhibit problems in the same day -- refrigerator and dishwasher. Left a detailed message describing my problem on Thursday at around noon. Gave my name and number at both beginning and end of the message. Today is Monday. No one has even bothered to call me back in three business days -- five days altogether. Not sure why others claim to receive call backs within minutes or in an hour. Needless to say, I needed to find someone else. I wouldn't have bothered to contact this provider if not for those reviews, so felt I should leave a review of my own.

Unfortunaely the range was so old that the thermostat we needed was no longer available so we were out of luck. i Just wanted to mention that Chris the technician is a very good guy....a very friendly agreeable nice guy and he knew what he was doing. This is my second time with him and I had complete confidence in him

I called their number and left a message. They called me back within the hour and offered to come out that evening to repair my washing machine. I couldn't be there at that time so we arranged to have them come out the next morning. They quickly diagnosed the problem, had the part with them and installed it. The serviceman also noticed something else on my machine that was broken and asked if I wanted to have that repaired too. I said yes. He had the part and installed it. 45 minutes later, my machine was up and running, which was great because we were going out of town the next day. Excellent all the way around. I have kept their card and will definitely use them in the future.

I called the main number, and I was told that the tech would call back. Manny, the tech, did so within three minutes. We discussed my needs and he scheduled the time himself in order to accommodate me. He called five minutes before he arrived, showed up at my door as promised - clean, professional, and with parts in hand, ready to do the work. In less than one hour, he replaced all faulty parts, and he apprised me of the price before changing each unit. He was clean, friendly and efficient throughout. The circuit board was under warranty - he had replaced it in November of this year. Although a water leak was the cause of its damage, he did not charge for the replacement. I am very happy with Manny and Affordable Appliance Repair.

Chris called to let me know he was on the way. He quickly diagnosed the problem - broken ice bucket mechanism - and obtained the necessary parts after providing an accurate quote of the costs. The icemaker is dispensing ice perfectly now! This problem had been misdiagnosed by another provider.

Tech was on time and very knowledgeable. Was very honest regarding the washing machine and we ended up buying a new one. The ice maker was a little more involved but Doug was very thorough and explained everything. He had to install an entire new module but we thought it was worth it, considering the refrigerator was expensive. He had to order the part and within a few days, ice maker was working and we have a new go to company when it comes to any of our appliances!

They were later than they said they were going to be, but they were here within an hour of my talking to them, which is still pretty good. I called a number of places and they were the only ones able to come same day. They were quick, professional and fixed the problem on the first try. I would definitely call them again.

The tech came out, put it in, and it’s been working fine ever since. The tech was very personable. He was here 45 mins- to an hour. He also cleaned the back of the fridge for us.

They did great work. They were on time.

I called for service at 8am Monday morning and their technician arrived at my door by 9:20am - terrific availability! Quick diagnosis of the problem, left for a short while to run for parts, and had the job finished by 10:45. I give them a B on price only because it was a little more than I anticipated, but still pretty fair considering everything.

Called for service as dishwasher door would not close. Was given a two hour window for service. Technician called ahead when he was coming and did arrive at the beginning of the given window. He determined that floor wasn't level under dishwasher due to shim being inserted, and that had been moved in some way, causing dishwasher door and sides to be out of alignment. Inserted new shim. Service was completed in about 30 minutes. Very professional and pleasant.

Punctual, presentable, pleasant, cheerful and seemingly knew what the problem was. He was on time and although it was later in the afternoon, he went about his business like this was his first stop. Reasonable in cost. Made this experience an absolute pleasaure and would definitely use again when needed.

It didn't go because he never responded. This is not the first time I have used your vendors recently without getting a response. I am beginning to wonder why I signed up for this service. In fact I am supposed to renew but now I will not and will tell my friends it is a waste of time and money. If you cannot get your vendors to do a better job of responding then this service is useless.

Started off a little rocky; Manny was supposed to be here 8-10am. Called at 9:45 to say he was waiting for a part. I called back at 11am to reschedule as I had to go to work at noon, thinking it would take another couple of days to get appointment. But Manny said he would come after I got home from work and he did! So he really worked to make it right. Manny was extremely professional. Would highly recommend.

Manny did a great job! He came fully prepared with parts for the dryer. The service was performed quickly and efficiently. Manny has been in this business for years; I actually knew him and liked him when he worked for another company years ago; he is a pro! He is authorized to service and maintain Subzero appliances; I was able to have the yearly maintenance handled in the same service call for my dryer. I was able to use my Angie's List coupon for a 15% discount on all services.....this was an excellent experience. I will absolutely recommend them to others. I called earlier this morning; service was completed this afternoon.

Chris was extremely polite, knowledgeable and professional. He had the oven "diagnosed" and fixed in a very short amt of time. He then diagnosed the problem with the freezer ice-making (Ice not coming out when dispenser pushed). He had to order the part. He explained everything in language I understood, and answered my questions. I would recommend him and his company to anyone without hesitation. When the part was available, he called and set up the time to put in the part. Able to do it that day. The price was very reasonable. I will use Affordable Appliance Repair again and I will request Chris, if available. But I have a feeling that anyone they send would do a great job also. Thanks!! Oh, everything is working just great and I have no complaints!

The Tech was very professional. He answered many of the questions that I had very thoroughly. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. He troubleshooted the problem quickly and resolved the issue to my complete satisfaction. It is very refreshing to have such a personable, competent, and respectful service tech. If I was his employer,. I would certainly give consideration to giving him a salary increase. I definitely will use this company again in the future and will recommend it to other friends should the occasion arise.
