We're on vacation 450 miles from home when we were overpowered by gas fumes in our car yesterday afternoon. I checked Angie's List and found an "A" rated auto shop approximately 4 miles from where we were staying. Even though it was after their closing hours George answered the phone. He told me that even though they had a lot of appointments for tomorrow to bring it in in the morning and they would fit it in. We dropped it off at 0800 and a few hours later George called and told me that the fuel pump was cracked but because of the make/model they could not get one from a parts dealer and would have to get it from a dealer. Long story short - they found one, changed it and we were able to pick up our car the same afternoon. They did a great job and saved what was starting to look like a gloomy vacation. George was very informative and helpful. I only wish I could find an automotive service like Vistoso Automotive back home.

Very honest repair shop. They will not sell you anything you don't need, and usually for half the cost of what other places charge.

"Customer, I received your call that you were going to have your 2004 Dodge Dakota towed in to have a engine coolant leak checked out, and that the check engine light was on due to to a limp mode relay being bad. Yes, I did state that your vehicle does not have a limp mode relay, becasue it does not. Your vehicle did not go into limp mode. The rought running is due to a cylinder #3 misfire. About the only thing that would put the vehicle into limp mode would be a transmission issue, which is controlled by the main computer. I recommend a new water pump (leaking) part and labor $216.95 plus tax. A coolant power flush $79.95 plus tax. and your tow bill of $71.00. All totaled $367.90 plus taxes, I did yes around $400.00 out the door. All you paid for was your tow bill you had me paid for. There was no billing on our part. They were deceptive. The ABS light came on so we took it in and they told us that it would cost $1200 to have that fixed. We thought that the price was high. He talked to the guy and they said it would take 4 days to do this. My husband said that they would pick up the truck. They charged us initially to do the estimate. My husband then looked up online and found out that you can take the ABS system out of the car and it's fairly simple to fix it. They were going to take it, rebuild it and put it back in and charge all that money. Even a brand new one wouldn't be that expensive.

"Member, We are so sorry that your experience was not great. We work very hard to provide the very best in service. Sometimes the cost of repair work does not seem very fair, and we understand that. We wish we could control the price of that part, but we can't. Please know that we do not use aftermarket remanufactured ABS control modules, as the braking system is your most important system, and we have had issues with used parts. Vistoso Automotive will not compromise your safety. The ABS control module from GM costs $868.46. The labor to replace is $45.00 and the diagnostic cost was $79.00. The total cost was $992.46 plus taxes. We are truely sorry we could not help you. Sincerely, Jim Lo Greco Vistoso Automotive"

They are just two fantastic guys who own and operate it. They are very helpful and I feel comfortable with them. I feel that they do the service that they are supposed to do and check things that they are supposed to. Their prices are reasonable as anyone else's and they are handy as well for us. They are also open on Saturdays from 7:30 to 3:30.
