Description of Work: It took a really long time to get them out after the deal was made (mostly my fault; lots of phone tag followed by 30 days of silence until I contacted them and the deal was consumated)and they were a little late (30 mins.) However, they were professional and did a good job cleaning up afterwards.

Description of Work: They called promptly to schedule the work, and were able to come on my preferred day. Arrived a little late, but worked until the work was finished and did an excellent job on trimming both trees that I hired them for, making sure that I inspected the work and it had been performed to my satisfaction before leaving.

Description of Work: This company did an excellent job trimming two large trees, one in the front and one in the back yards. We had a bit of trouble trying to get scheduled, which is why I only gave a "B" rating for responsiveness. But in the end they finally showed up and the work was excellent. The trees look fabulous, clean up was spot on, and I would definitely recommend them to others.

 + -1 moreKing's had the most reasonable price, by a good amount! The work was done very well, there is no trace that the palm trees or stumps were ever there. Although clean up of the whole property was completed, there was a problem with the sawdust on the roof. The palm trees were in the front of the house and there was a good deal of sawdust on the roof. The blew all of the sawdust off the roof into the backyard which has caused an issue, especially with the pool. I spoke to them this morning and they said they would take it under consideration on future jobs.
Description of Work: Cut down three palm trees. Two were exceeding 30 feet in height. Ground four stumps.

 + -1 moreDarcy King and his crew did what they said they were going to do, and they were very professional. They didn t get here on time, but the work they did was very good. I would highly recommend them to everyone.
Description of Work: King s Tree trimmed 4 trees in my front yard, removing and clearing everything. The work took 3 hours. One tree measured 12 feet or more, one tree measured 15 feet, and two others measured below 12 feet.

If a company can keep an appointment and does not have the courtesy to call, then we can only assume they are not a reliable or professional organization that we would want to hire. We were disappointed particularly based upon their rating on Angie's List.
Description of Work: We called King's Tree Service (8/2) and talked to Darcy. We explained the work we needed done which consisted of the trimming of two mesquite tree's and three ficus trees, plus the possible moving of one small ficus tree. We also discussed setting up a schedule of routine maintenance of our trees. Darcy set an appointment for two days later (8/4) at approximately 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. to come for an estimate. We waited until 5:30 p.m. then left to go to dinner. Basically our afternoon was wasted and the lack of respect for our time was not appreciated. Had Darcy bothered to call us we would have happily worked with him. He did not resulting in a lost customer lost.

 + -1 moreDarcy and his crew did a great job. The Carob tree was growing all over the electric wires, and Darcy had the power company shut down the power and remove the wires prior to trimming. Mesquites growing thru holes in the fence were trimmed to preserve the tree as much as possible as well as not damage the fence. They cleaned up all that they trimmed, leaving my yard cleaner than when they arrived. And when the power company returned to re-attach the wires and we discovered that not enough was trimmed from the carob tree, Darcy came back within 15 minutes to correct the problem.
Description of Work: Just moved into a home in Mesa. Prior owner was very lax about taking care of his trees. Seven Mesquites, 1 Bougainvillea, 3 Citrus and a Carob tree needed trimmed. Some Agaves and Palms (at base of Saguaro) needed removed, and a Ficus tree needed the dead stuff removed.

 + -1 moreThis crew was prompt, efficient, and did everything promised, and more. Left no evidence whatsoever that there was ever a tree in front yard. The offending (but beautiful) overhanging tree was expertly pruned so that neighbors would not have to duck when walking under that tree. The price was more than fair, and I will have them do more work this late fall. Mr. Darcy was very knowledgeable and effectively conveyed his instructions to his crew. Great Job!
Description of Work: Removal of large tree in front yard, pruned and trimmed large Lysiloma tree that was overhanging sidewalk/street on one side and the path to my gate, my block wall on the other side, and trimmed and cut back all trees and shrubs infringing on roof and walls of home. Trimmed and cut back all shrubs hanging on and resting on patio pergola. Cleaned up all cuttings and trimmings.

 + -1 moreI was referred to this company by another (well-rated) Angie's list contractor who does not do palm trees. I called for an estimate for trimming a very overgrown palm, removing a dead citrus tree, and general trimming for a semi-neglected property I just acquired. After confirming that the company does indeed trim palm trees, but before I was able to mention the other work that needed to be done, I was told that the job was too small and they only do $300+ jobs. When I mentioned the other work and that the palm was quite overgrown, he stated that it sounded like it might be a big enough job and that he would be in the neighborhood on 9/13 for an estimate. There was no evidence that anyone had been in the yard (he was given permission to enter), and I never heard from them. I selected another company to perform the work.
Description of Work: The company was supposed to provide an estimate for work on several different types of trees including a palm tree trim and citrus tree removal. No work was completed.

 + -1 moreI CALLED THIS MORNING TO GET NAMES FROM ANGIE'S LIST AND WHEN I CALLED KING'S TREE SERVICE HE ASKED WHERE I WAS LOCATED AND SAID HE'D COME TO LOOK AT THE TREE AND GIVE A PRICE. AN HOUR LATER, HE SHOWED UP, TRIMMED THE TREE AND GAVE ME SOME ADVICE ABOUT WHEN TO GET THE TREE TRIMMED (IN JULY) WHEN IT WOULD BE THE BEST FOR THE TREE AND THE MESS! APPARENTLY THEY WERE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, BUT WE WERE IMPRESSED WITH THEIR PROMPT SERVICE. I WILL DEFINITELY CALL THEM AGAIN IN JULY TO GET IT TRIMMED AGAIN.
