Paul Schmitt is the owner/operator and oversees all moves and services provided. He is a 12 year United States Army Veteran so he knows what it takes to move your belongings safely, either down the street or across the valley. All of his employees consist of immediate family members or very close friends. Donation Movers is properly licensed and insured against any and all problems that may arise. With over 5000 moves personally under his belt, you can guarantee a safe and smooth move. "We are very sorry for this happening. I look over every move sheet the very next day and call all customers that make mention of any dis-satisfaction with the service that they received. I do not have any comments on your sheet of any damage to any walls or furniture. If that is the case then this is the first we are hearing about this at our office. You did not receive any calls because there was nothing written on your sheet or any phone calls placed to our office from you about such events happening. We also send out a follow up email within the week of everyone's move here. If there was such an event that happened during your move I wish that you would have taken that opportunity to let us know about it. We moved you in December and now it is almost March and we are just hearing about it now. It is very hard for us to know everything that goes on during every move as we are only a small amount of office personnel. If there is anything that we can do to make it better please let us know. The staff at Donation was very responsive and helpful during the initial inquiries and scheduling of the appointment. There was great follow-up to ensure that the date/time/cost etc was fully explained and set up properly.
The moving team called ahead on the day of the move and arrived ahead of their target time - which was great! The Donation team that worked with us (Alex, Juan, and Maurier) was polite, hard-working, professional, and extremely good natured. The team worked non-stop on a very hot day and it was impressive to see how they ended the job still having the great attitude and demeanor they started with. They were considerate with our belongings, wrapping them when appropriate and careful to coordinate with us to make sure the move was going well. The apartment move was completed right on time (about 3 hours) including a move to a second story apartment.
Based on this experience, I would work with Donation Movers LLC on my next move without hesitation!!
The moved went absolutely perfect! First and foremost, Paul is a great person that made our moving experience fantastic. Paul and team showed up on time and ready to go. I might have had the door open 1 minute and his guys were already stacking boxes to move outside. I had to leave for work and my wife was left to work with Paul and team. I was fully expecting to get phone calls from my wife with issues (I moved with another company 1 year ago and my phone rang of the hook!) and even planned on leaving work early, BUT when I received my first call from my wife at noon, the move was almost done. The only issue I heard was that they were moving TOO FAST, that's right too fast, and she did not label a couple of boxes. Since we had over a week before closing on our new home, I also rented a small storage space to access items I knew I would need to get to but did not want to take with me to our temporary housing. I fully planned on moving it all myself, but like every other item in our house, Donation would not let my wife or I move a box, it was their job and they did not want to see us get dirty or injure ourselves with heavy lifting.
We move into our new house soon and for the first time I have ever moved, I am NOT worried about the move, I know Paul and Donation movers are coming and will take care of it.
If you use any other mover, you are making a mistake. Donation had great people and had by far (I am talking not even close) to the best price our there!
