Air & Water Factor

Air Factor sent Tim out to do an estimate on a repair for my upstairs AC/Heating unit. Tim was very professional and arrived on time. The company also called 30 min prior to let me know he was on his way. The repair initially was ~$1000 & instead we decided to go with a new system since the original was close to 20 yrs old. Two techs- Travis & Ellis- arrived on time on the scheduled day and were very professional. They put tarps down on the floor to catch any debris and cleaned up after they left. They were scheduled for 5 hours but completed the job in ~ 3 1/2. They did such a great job that I decided to have my downstairs unit replaced the foliowing month.

Really not much more to say. I probably would have been happy with any of the three vendors and the quotes were close but I am pleased with Air Factor and their follow up. Their quote was minimally higher than the others but they recommended adding a second air return and this increased the price by approximately $500.

Very competitive on price. Best value of the three bids I received. I was able to get better quality units for the same price of lesser units from the other two bidders. The whole company from owners to installers were very professional. Tim Friederich was our representative and he was extemely helpful through the whole process. The whole job was completed within a day and a half. The installers kept the house very clean during installation. This was a very dreaded process but Air Factor made the experience much, much easier to swallow. I will continue using them for maintenance and I would recommend them to anyone.

There was one area that I would not rate as highly and that was cleanup. When they came, they talked about how careful they would be as far as protecting everything from dirt and clean up. I would give them a lower grade for cleanup but I would recommend them. Other than the cleanup, they did a very good job.

We had a couple of companies come out to give us an estimate on a new system. We chose Air Factor for a couple of reasons. Bill, the owner, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and gave us several options that fit our budget. His technicians are just as knowledgeable and friendly. When making this type of investment, customer service was more important than price and Bill was able to help with both. I would highly recommend Air Factor and look forward to working with them in the future.

The entire Air Factor crew was great to work with, but especially Tim Friederich. We had the original Lennox units that were installed when the house was built in 1989 and the downstairs unit had a slow Freon leak that required refilling about once a year. Subsequently the fan motor went out and needed to be replaced. Instead of making costly repairs, I decided to replace the unit. Tim out came out to the house and did a great job of looking at the current configuration, crawled up into the attic to look at the air handler unit and determined the correct size unit needed. He then came up with several options that varied in price and Seer. We selected one of the Trane options presented and scheduled the installation within the next few days. Travis and Ellis were the installers and were also very good to work with. It took them less than a day to remove the old unit and install the new one. A few days after the installation Tim and the Service Manager came to inspect the work and to make sure I was pleased with their service. We are very happy with the new heat pump, it does the job efficiently. We are also pleased with the air filtration system. Air Factor was a pleasure to work with, they were efficient, professional and responsive. I plan to use them again for my HVAC needs, especially when it comes time to replace the upstairs unit.

I received a call from my property manager on behalf of my tenants on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend letting me know that the AC was blowing hot air. Since I had already had Air Factor come out to do an AC PM and replace a blower fan I called them. They sent someone to the property within hours who inspected the unit, provided an estimate for repairs as well as a recommendation to replace the unit. On Tuesday Tim, the estimator went out to the property and provided several options for repair. Tim also followed up with a phone call to address any questions that I may have which was fortunate since his email containing the estimates wound up in my spam folder. Tim was very patient in explaining what work was required and what work could be put off. This was extremely helpful. He then explained the next steps and later that day I confirmed that I'd like to move forward. Air Factor was willing to reach out directly to my tenants and understood what it meant to have a remote property owner. The work was performed on schedule with a follow up call informing me as such. I was very happy with the entire experience and would definitely recommend them to anyone requiring HVAC service.

Our project manager Tim Friederich has superior knowledge and experience not only from a mechanical standpoint but also an engineering background. Complete evaluation and engineering recommendations are critical to matching the requirements of the structure to overall weather conditions. No hard sell, just a whole lot of great information and options. Install crew Travis and Ellis were in and out same day. Everything clean and nice. Tim also personally followed up a week later for a complete inspection of the work, in the attic as well as the outside unit and then presented us with our owners packet and warranty info. We are very happy with the whole process. Also, being new AZ residents we noticed a substantial dust problem when we had our old system running. The addition (at Tim's recommendation) of the electrostatic filter system (an $850 option) was the best money we ever spent. It's been two weeks now and everything is working great. Can't hardly hear the unit running and now we can enjoy our patio without all the background noise of the outside unit.

Excellent, very satisfied with whole process from quote to finish. Quoting was professional, time taken to measure house exterior and windows, and interior rooms reviewed for problems. A detailed quote was e-mailed two hours later, it included four brand options. It also included deductions for service I had a week earlier. Pricing was inline for quoted competitors, Costco and Sears. They also were about to start and finish the next day to accommodate my tenant's schedule. The next day the work team, two uniformed men, arrived on-time in a company branded truck with the equipment ordered. The work took about six hours in very hot conditions. The air handler was moved several feet to improve efficiency and water drainage. Team lead showed me the changes, and made sure I was satisfied with the work prior to leaving. Work areas were cleaned, with no damage to drywall inside or stucco outside. The estimator Tim, made an appointment to visit the site one week after the work. He reviewed the work to what was quoted and made sure I was satisfied with the job. In short, I would not hesitate to recommend Air Factor.

At about 8:15PM on a Tuesday evening, we noticed that the inside temperature was at 85 degrees & no cool air was blowing. We called Air Factor right away & asked if a tech could come out that night. Although the last evening service is usually 8PM, they said Denis could come in about an hour, after he finished up on the call he was on. He arrived at about 9:30PM and quickly determined we needed a new capacitor. He was able to replace it right away & the system was back in service by 10PM. We have a maintenance agreement so that saved us 10% on the repair.

On this past service call I was very happy with Marcus, who checked out my air conditioner. He took his time and explained everything to me. He even changed my filter and told me the best type to use and why it was the best type of filter to use. When I call Air Factor again, I will request Marcus. I trust him because he did a good job and he didn't push products or services.

Came home from work and the temperature was 95 inside -- our air conditioner had stopped working. The motor in the outside unit wasn't turning so I was afraid that it would need to be replaced. I called this Air Factor, made an appointment, and they came right when they said they would. Turned out to be only a bad capacitor. The original was actually a dual capacitor, but the serviceman didn't have an exact replacement on his truck. So he replaced the dual unit with two capacitors, and just charged us for the more expensive one. He even made a little metal bracket to hold the two capacitors in place. He explained everything he was doing.

I had noticed a week or two ago that the motor on my air conditioning unit was getting noisy. I crossed my fingers and hoped to get more life out it. Well, I guess that wasn't too smart. This morning the unit was making a strange noise and the blower wasn't running. I checked out Angie's list and found a business nearby, Air Factor, that had a lot of positive reviews so I called them. They were a bit busy and couldn't make it out until 4:00 to 6:00pm. The forecast was 112 degrees today. The techinician, Tim, made it here just after 4:00pm, having placed a call-ahead from the office. Tim asked me several questions about my unit, then proceeded to quickly confirm my suspicions about the motor. My A/C motor came on when he plugged the fuse back in that I had removed but it started to quickly overheat again. Tim showed me the flat rate pricing book and the cost to replace my motor. I agreed to the repair and he quickly exchanged the motor and taped up a few wires that were exposed to the elements. Having felt good about my experience so far, I started asking him questions about the pamphlet reqarding Home Maintenance, and, finally decided that I would go with one of their plans. My experience with Air Factor and their representative, Tim, was very positive. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Tim and Heath did their work without interruption. They were happy to answer all my questions and tolerated me following them around in my normal curious manner.

I met the staff at Air Factor a few years ago when they were the only service available on Christmas to do emergency HVAC repairs. They came right out on Christmas, gave me excellent repair service and smiled the whole time. Plus, they didn't charge me extra for the holiday hours. I've been a loyal customer ever since. They have repaired several units for me at both my residence and rental properties and they most recently replaced an AC unit at one of the rental properties. I have always found them extremely professional. They are also timely and very communicative. As long as they are in business, I won't use any other company!

They are absolutely fantastic. There were a few little problems but came back and fixed them right away.

I contacted this company due to the positive reviews on Angie's list. They were able to come to my home right away and were very courteous. However, the price I was quoted was more than double what I was able to find elsewhere for the same part. Also, the other company was able to fix my unit the same day whereas Air Factor had to schedule another appointment. I provided my tech with the $35 Angie's list coupon yet they billed my credit card the full amount. Nice tech but I wonder if my husband would have been quoted the same price?

It is very difficult when I am not there year around and something comes up like this. I really appreciate the work that Air Factor gave us.

After researching on ServiceMagic, Angie's List, and Kudzu I decided that Air Factor was going to serve me best in replacing my A/C Unit. I was right. Their customer service is top notch, from the customer sales guy, Tim, to the installers, to the maintenance/repair guys. They also setup a very nice (low low interest) financing deal for me.I have recommended and continue to recommend Air Factor to friends and family. No one has been disappointed and in a few cases thousands of dollars were saved.

The new unit has already made a huge difference in my bills. I’m on a budget plan with the utility company, and my monthly payments were $190.00. After the installation, my payments were lowered to $100.00 per month. Also, we received several estimates from other providers, and Air Factor was the most thorough and knowledgeable. They took meticulous measurements before evaluating what we needed. I’m very happy with Air Factor. In fact, I’ve already recommend them to others.

I have been a realtor for 31 years. Finding trustworthy and efficient trades is critical. I found Air Factor on Angie's List, and after reading the positive reviews, hired them to fix an air conditioning issue at a client's home. Air Factor called me to confirm the appointment with the tenant. They arrived on time and fixed the problem. The tenant was very happy. The property owner was very happy too. Air Factor is at the top of my preferred vendor list now.

I bought my house knowing the AC system was 20 years old (the original) so it wasn't a surprise when my electricity bill increased dramatically this summer despite leaving the programmable thermostat alone. I had Air Factor come out and check the existing system but it needed a laundry list of repairs typical of a 20 year old system (I cross checked their recommendations) so it was time for a replacement. I had Air Factor and two other reputable companies quote a new system. Air Factor was on the high side for the quote (hence the B for price) but they were the only ones who actually measured the house, performed a load calculation, and inspected the attic duct work (which was fine, and the rep gave me a few tips on easy-to-do projects to take care of). The rep, Tim, from Air Factor was also the most thorough and knowledgeable of all the folks I talked to. So, Air Factor got the job. Installation went smoothly despite it being the only drizzly day in December - installers were clean, efficient, and took care of business - working straight through lunch to get the system done. Tim did a post-installation inspection and scheduled a tech to do a tune-up and take care of a couple of minor issues. Overall, I'm very pleased with the system so far - the multi-stage variable- speed system is much quieter inside than the old one - and I hope I get at least a decade out of this one. We'll see how my electricity bill looks next summer!

Punctual on all appointments. Explained various options on initial appointment and was very helpful in trying to find the best one for our application and budget. Installation was quick and thorough. Several months later had an issue with heating on one unit. Turned out to be around the 90 day free checkup. Tech came out and fixed the issue and handled the checkup free of charge.
