Description of Work: We had this company come out and do a checkup of our AC system. The technician was knowledgeable and I was pleased with the service they provided. Some of the AC guys are pretty shady but this company is an honest company with well trained office staff and technicians.

Description of Work: We own a rental property in San Tan Valley. Our tenant called last June about the AC not cooling. We found Air Factor on Angie's list and called. Right away they made a call to the property arranged a time to go out and they repaired the unit, replacing a cellinoid and cleaning out something on the unit. This service was over 350.00 I can't remember the firm number. We were happy. The unit continued to work all summer. This winter we were made aware of Air Factor's 'SRP 16 pt. check,' of the unit for $65. I spoke with the office staff and took notes on what they stated they would do. 16pt. check up which included cleaning a filter. I'm thinking ok, dust, desert, it could use a cleaning is my guess, I'm 800 miles away, I'm not going to do it. Today,the service tech calls me and tells me he has done the check up and the thermostat is broken, I'm assuming he is talking about the AC, but no, come to find out later from my tenant he is saying the thermostat in the house. I guess I didn't ask enough questions and $172 dollars later I have a digital thermostat installed. All along, I'm thinking he's replacing a part in the outdoor equipment, but no it's on the wall in the house. This better be a great thermostat for $172! Of course that included the install. Never mind it is probably like mine here at home which requires a total of two wires to connect. He also wants to save me the pipes running thru the attic from backing up and leaking causing water damage. I picture the horror of that and so say yes to another $65 in services. Do I know how to do this? NO. And I'm 800 miles away remember. I'm reminded by the tech how old the AC unit is and basically how lucky I am that it still comes on, basically expect it to be on its last legs. Oh, ok. Yes, it is old, it works hard in AZ. I shouldn't feel too bad about $130 for the SRP check up/once over and the flushing of the pipes. But, I am pretty sore over a $172 install of a thermostat, which I didn't even get to pick out. I have no idea what quality it is, nor did I realize I should ask. Cause all along I'm thinking he's working on the AC, my tenant has not said anything about a thermostat not working in the house. Turns out I guess it hadn't been recently. So it's fixed. Thanks Air Factor. Bottom line I think they serviced the machine well, it has continued to make the place cool. Do take notes and ask plenty of stupid questions. "Where is this thermostat?" Is it not talking to the thermostat in the house? What do you think I should know about, that I'm not asking? I obviously do not know much when it comes to AC, other than I want it to be there when it is needed. Air Factor can help you get it going again and my guess is they're as good as the next guy out there.

Description of Work: Had a probelm with my AC at my rental house. Called Air Factor spokoe with Tim he gave me things to check before they do a service call. Denis the technicaian was here within 30min. He found the problem and fixed. I didnt want to spend any money on repairing an AC on my rental, so I was thank ful that they found it was nothing major.

Description of Work: I called for a service call and they came out the next day, I explained that I had no heat. The service guy climbed a ladder on a very steep second floor roof and found out that the wiring was backwards. Described to me as Low Voltage Repair.
