Met Paul (the owner) for the initial site visit and decided to go with a local family owned company of 40 years. Both Paul and Tim (his son) shows their talent and takes pride in their work. They have done a monolithic pour for our addition and a stamp that looks like real wood. The texture and colors are gorgeous! They have also done our patio with a decorative stamp that looks like a very beautiful slate. The finishing was the entryway with new concrete and a touch of stain that complemented the whole project. Needless to say, we highly recommend this professional and wonderful family of Flortek LLC.

Owner Tim an excellent job. He priced it well, poured the concrete well, and finished it professionally. I would hire him again. He kept be informed throughout the process and kept his promises. I hired three other contractors this summer for projects around my house. They were not as organized, professional and honest and Tim.

I needed to have a section of my sidewalk replaced because a root from my neighbor's tree had raised the section about 2 inches. I contacted several places, none of whom were interested because the job was so small, I contacted Paul from Flortec and he came out to see what would be involved. After looking at the problem, he said he would be able to fix the problem for less than others had quoted. He had to remove the section, dig up, remove the root, fill in and level everything. He then had to make the form and mix the cement and pour by hand. After he was done, he asked me to look and see if I was satisfied. When we went back to look at it, my dog, 6lbs, had walked across the section and left her paw prints. He asked if I wanted him to smooth it out but I said to leave it. He carved her name and the date in it for me. To add to everything, he even fixed my gate!!

By far, Paul and his son are the best contractors we have ever worked with--and we have worked with many as we remodel our house and landscape. They personally manage and perform all the work. Paul and his son are master craftsmen and are meticulous about each step. Their communication is excellent. Each day, Paul would tell us what was to be completed. At the end of the day, he would explain the next step. He called often to update us about materials needed to complete the job and when they would be delivered. He carefully coordinated all the heavy equipment that was needed from concrete removal to concrete mixing. He discussed the alternative schedules if it should rain--and it did, delaying the project. As soon as the area was dry, Paul and his son were right back on the job. Paul mixed and brought us many samples of acrylic overlays, driving from Glendale to south Scottsdale twice just to show us samples. He was really patient when we changed our minds about colors. He explained the entire process before he began spreading and stamping the overlay. The team was careful about working around our landscape and they cleaned up everyday. We are delighted with the final results. Quite a few neighbors have stopped to comment on the new look. We can highly recommend Paul, not just for concrete overlay and stamping but also for concrete and masonry work. The photos below do not really show the beauty of the completed project.

He poured the pad over a 2" layer of ABC. The pad a non-standard shape but he was able to deal with that'd got the job done cleanly and professionally. He left the are very clean, and i have gotten complements from those who have seen it.

I met with Paul at Flortek for a quote and he came across right away as someone trustworthy and professional so we hired Flortek to do the project. We got on the calendar as soon as they had availability which was in a week which was fine. Flortek is a family owned company and so Paul and his family came out to start the project. They were able to excavate the dirt as needed and frame in the area for pouring concrete the first day and also laid down some ABC for a very solid base for the concrete to be poured onto. They came back in a couple of days with the cement mixer and poured the concrete for both pads and I couldn't be happier. It looks amazing and my only job was to keep it sprayed wet the first day. Flortek is a professional company that I would highly recommend for anyone needing concrete work done.

Absolutely Perfect

Paul and his son Tim were exceptional. I received a quote for the job the same day that I called for an estimate. They were both hard workers and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend Flortek. I am thrilled with the job that they did.

They gave me lots of options and customized the color until it was exactly what I wanted. They were super nice and loved that they are a small family run business.

I contacted Paul at Floortek based on all the positive reviews. We set an appointment and Paul was on time. I had decided I wanted more work done after our initial phone call and he took all measurements needed. After that first visit, I decided I wanted to do a room addition on the back of the house also so Paul came out again to measure for a new pad for the room addition on top of all other requested work. Then life threw up an unexpected curveball and I was in the position of having to cancel everything. Paul was very accommodating and patient with all the changes I threw at him. I decided to put everything else on hold but would continue with the RV pad only. He gave me a new proposal for the RV pad and we agreed on doing the job. We had previously decided on a couple of colors and a stamp pattern. We choose a paver solider course on the borders and a flagstone pattern for the interior. I was able to get a couple things done that needed to be done prior to starting the pour and Paul was very helpful in working with me in those areas. The concrete was being poured at the end of a previously installed paver driveway. The paver driveway starts at the street and goes next to the house into the backyard for RV parking. There used to be trees at the end so we couldn't take the paver driveway all the way to the back fence. The trees are gone now and the pavers used are no longer made. So we filled in the 30' gap with colored, stamped concrete instead. I was a little concerned what the weight of a concrete truck would do to the pavers and 2 days before the pour, I asked Paul about having the concrete pumped into the pour site rather than having the concrete truck back up to it. On short notice, Paul made the arrangements and got the pump out there the day of the pour. Everything went well all the way to the end of the project. Paul and his crew are a pleasure to work with. They are very good and knowledgable about their craft. They take precautions to protect everything next to the pour as to not damage any adjoining structures. When they tell you they will be at your place on a certain date and time, they are on there on time. Paul was very flexible and patient with me during the entire process from start to finish. Their work is excellent and Paul already knows that he is coming back for additional jobs as soon as I am able to do it. If your looking for an excellent concrete contractor, give Flortek a try. You will not be sorry you did.

Original work in Aug/Sep took a few weeks because of intermittent rain delays. Front Patio stain (grey) looks great. Rear Patio stain (beige/tan) was too light. Flortek came back out and darkened the color. Overall very good quality.

Paul provided excellent service. His team was very friendly and professional. The concrete work looks fantastic and was done in a very timely manner to meet my deadlines. I would definitely use Flortek again and would recommend his services to friends.

Paul came out and did an estimate for the project.  The price was very good.  He came out promptly on the start date for the project.  He along with his son worked the project until it was complete.  I received numerous praises from neighbors about the work Paul and his son did for my family.  They were very professional.  I was definitely impressed with their work.  I will definitely use them again for all my concrete work.

Very Well, Paul arrived to our house within a week of contacting him and sent an estimate within a few days. Paul's estimate was the middle priced one, but we would have picked him even if his was the highest price. He sound the most knowledgeable and seemed very trustworthy. Entire project took about three weeks. Either Paul or his son (or both) was on site everyday the entire time. We LOVE our new patio. It turned out better than we wished.
