Cool Touch Air Conditioning and Heating

They came out on holiday weekend when air went out.  Did a quick fix to get air back on.  Told us we were under warranty and they would be able to replace after holiday when vendors open again.  True to their word it was replaced on Tuesday.

I seem to recall that they were pretty much on time.  This was a 30 year old home that I had only recently purchased, so I had a lot of questions and concerns about the a/c system's age and condition.  They were very  patient with all my questions, as well as  polite, professional, and helpful and didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need.  I was very pleased with them and expect to use them for future heating/cooling needs.

We've used this Company for many years and all work has always been performed in a competent, workmanlike manner. The service technicians are both knowledgeable and personable. We look forward to their semi-annual visits.

We recently had them out for an Energy Evaluation, for which we received a rebate from SRP. Colin the Energy audit guy wore booties and didn't complain that it was boiling hot in the attic (like some other non-A/C companies have done). He also didn't try to sell us something we didn't need (new can lights), but told me how to fix what we had for a lot cheaper (our can lights in the kitchen had the most leakage in the whole house, allowing attic dirt/insulation and hot air through). We did choose to replace the can light in the bathroom with a sealed unit. He also explained the new information on how ducts were installed in new homes before (our house has cold rooms and warm rooms, and closing vents doesn't necessarily shunt the cool air to the warmer rooms), and how they have recently realized how, based on size of room or area, the ducts SHOULD have been installed.
Last year we used Cool Touch to install a new A/C unit. Ours had gone out on a Friday in June, and the next day they answered the phone and came out on Monday to evaluate and give us a price on what needed done.  They actually installed it incorrectly, and also did not change the old PVC for new,  and had to come out several times both to figure out what was wrong and fix it;. They really made it right and owned up to the error, and extended our service contract (which was included with the new unit) for a longer time period. Brennan came out a few times for the regular services, and each time he has had words of wisdom on how to save energy (hence the Energy audit, so they could give us even more tips).  Brennan also saw that on the outside, the builder had left the piping to drip/drain right outside the house, causing water to sit next to the foundation, making the soil wet for long periods of time.  He fixed that with new piping and re-routed it so it drained away from the house several feet.  He also didn't like our very old return-air vent grills, and got us new ones, no charge. So much easier to open now.
We plan to use them for ductwork soon. If you have a service agreement, you get a good break on the price.

Cool Touch can out shortly after I called to say my AC was not working.  It was late in the day and they needed to order a part.  They did return the following day as soon as they received the motor and got my unit up and running.

They were going to replace the can lights because it looked like there was air leakage. The new ones were not going to be much better so I did not go through with the project.

They are very nice and professional, and they are good about answering my questions.

They put the wrong assembly unit in, and eventually refunded everything back to me. I would not hire them again, but I do respect that they refunded all my money back. I felt they were unprofessional when dealing with them on the phone, and acted like they didn’t care. They sent me a letter saying they were sorry that I wasn’t happy with the service.

It turned out great. They also did an infrared test. I would recommend them to others.

They were always on time and you didn’t have to wait very long.

It was okay. The promised the job to be done in one day, and it took them a day and a half. They also had to do sealing of 10 vents. Another job came up, and the worker was over worked is why it wasn’t done on time. My neighbor has used them and he was pleased with them. Some of the workers have to travel depending on how far they are coming from which can delay when they show up. I felt the website was not well integrated with the sales people. They have been professional, and they are supposed to be coming out for a service call in the fall.

They were excellent. I would recommend them to others. They did what they were asked to do.

Process went very well,overall. At time of installation,Chris,owner, ordered a custom made return air filter grill that would suit my needs.  Techs Chase and Jeff installed the new grill on 7-16-13.  They are very adept at their trade,professional and polite.  I have been using this company for 8 years .I highly recommend this company . Excellent work ethics from owner and all techs  are evident!  Stellar customer service sums up this experience.

very good experience - would recommend them to others. the warranty is 10 yr parts, 10 yrs labor and 10 on the compressor.

The Cool Touch representative showed up on time and was friendly and helpful. He spent quite some time with us which we appreciated. He told us he would have to go over the bid with some others in his office and he would get back to us with a proposal. Well, here it is a month later and still no proposal from this company--zero follow up. What the heck happened? I guess Cool Touch has all the business they need. What a colossal waste of time.

They have good phone etiquette. I like their willingness to make the job correct.

They were punctual. They came in, got the job done and went on their way. There was nothing I disliked. It was a great price. I probably could have found someone cheaper with a no name company and without any warranty. The quality was topnotch and their responsiveness was great.

Service was great during a time of stress. I plan on using them for on going service.

Always an easy transaction with well-qualified workers.
