He and his young assistant showed up right on time early in the morning. Gentleman recharged the refrigerant level on AC unit. Added about 2 lbs. He tightened a valve that had apparently been loose for a long time and might have caused the original refrigerant to slowly leak out in the first place. He also investigated and solved a noise in the fan system up in the attic. A small caught piece of paper was the culprit, and he went and rectified this without me even asking him about it. I had just gotten used to the fluttering noise.

They were very friendly and very helpful. He arrived during the appointment window and got right on the work.

Our AC decided to just quit on a July evening. I found Action Air Inc on Angile's list and called first thing on a Friday morning. Mike was so patient as I explained our situation and agreed to come late morning to see what happened. They arrived on time. Took a look and gave us the news. Not bad mouthing but honestly telling us of the incorrect and poor workmanship of another provider (not on AG's) 2 years ago. They set right to work and discovered another ruined element as they proceed. After discussing the matter with us they went to the Manufacture's supply place and bought the needed item. Back by noon in the blazing heat they finished the job as specified and assisted in correcting a couple of other minor (that could have become very serious matters.) As a Senior citizen it is very difficult to withstand the Phoenix heat without AC. Mike and his helper went way out of their way to help us and get things up and running. I would never use anyone else for AC repair. Professional, clean, trustworthy, honesty at every step. Thank you Mike you truly were a lifesaver!

Wow! What fast and honest service at a fair price. I called Mike at 2:00PM. The repair was completed by 3:30PM. The total cost was about $100! With the vast choices of air conditioning repair options out there, Action Air Inc. is a real find! Will be recommending them to all our friends.

Mike is a consumate professional tradesman who is skilled in his field and approaches his work with integrity and precision. I am blessed to have been directed to him via Angie's. Mike went above and beyond to address our issues quickly and charged us an exceedingly fair price. He and his co-worker are individuals you can trust in your home, even if you are a woman alone with children. Approximately a month ago I called Mike and relayed our dilemna. We had two prior companies at our home assessing our units and had received conflicting, contradictory advice/quotes ranging from $1500-3800. He quickly asked me what the issue was and I proceeded with a poor imitation of the sounds our unit was making. Mike immediately asked if our make and model was a specific type. I checked the unit and was stunned that in fact it was exactly the brand and model he anticipated. He proceeded to quickly explain the issue, advised us to take no action or repairs at this time (influenced by our financial situation) and reassured us that he would have the unit repaired in a timely manner when it did quit running. Today our unit finally gave in. I contacted Mike this morning and he was available to come over within a few hours (which was fortunate and exceeded our expectations). He confirmed the issue. Quickly conducted the repair and charged us a more than fair amount-$420. I believe the other companies were simply not sufficiently skilled to assess/repair the unit so were simply taking the easy way out by recommending complete replacement, in one case of a non-faulty part. THIS IS WHAT MAKES MIKE UNIQUE-INTEGRITY AND KNOWLEDGE. He has my highest recommendation! (And I have lofty expectations-old school)

They were outstanding. He came early, did the work, did wonderful work and was a nice guy. His prices are very reasonable. They were prompt, easy to work with and did what they said they would in a timely manner.

I had One Hour AC Repair out to my home in the morning, they billed me 474.00 for a repair that later was quoted by 8 competitors to be around $150 (see my review of One Hour). One Hour also raised many other concerns about my system, but due to the cost associated with the first repair, which got my system running again, I declined. I then called Mike, and without sharing with him my experience with One Hour, I wanted him to come inspect my system. He checked the components that One Hour stated needed replacing and told me the methods he used to determine the specifications. He was very efficient and knowledgeable. He then told me that since nothing was wrong, the inspection was free. I thanked him and he went on his way. Excellent interaction!

Early spring, ac went out, called at 3 pm and still could not get anyone out to check the unit until late the next day.....went to another company and scheduled an appointment for a technician to come out within a couple hours..

Mike evaluated our system and determined that while it is not in great shape it did not need a complete replacement. He added freon and replaced the fan. The next day the system started alternating blowing hot and cold. Mike returned immediately - evacuated the entire system and refilled it with freon. He refused to accept any payment for this even though we offered! He is professional, honest and just a nice guy. I am certain he lost money fixing our system (which by the way works great now). I will absolutely be calling him in the future and I highly recommend him to others.

A call was made to Action Air on a Friday afternoon and an appointment was set up for Monday morning at 11:00 AM. Mike arrived at the complex at 11:10 AM. Upon arrival and in walking up to the unit he was immediately able to diagnose that the compressor was not running. He returned to his truck and retrieved some test equipment and quickly concluded the capacitor supporting compressor operation was faulty. He replaced it and then commenced additional confirmation the system was operating at correct input and output temperatures and he also confirmed there was adequate refrigerant in the system. The property owner was in attendance the entire time and Mike was very forthcoming with regard to what he was doing and why. He departed at 11:37 AM. His fee was reasonable and his services would be used again without question.

a fI chose Action Air because of positive reviews on Angie's List. They were my 'second opinion'. The first company that came out said that we needed a completely new heater and the estimate was $6000. Arctic Air was able to repair the existing heater by replacing a part and cost less than $1000. I highly recommend them.

We have been experiencing an abnormal freeze. So of course, this was the time that my motor burned out on my downstairs heat pump. We noticed that cold air was coming out of the vents Friday morning and that the heat pump (outside) was making a loud whirring noise. I called Mike. He said that the unit was probably going through defrost since this type of cold is abnormal in Phoenix. He said to keep it running but to call him if it didn't change. When I woke up Saturday morning, my downstais was only 65 degrees and the fan on the unit was not moving. So I called Mike again. He came right out and determined that the motor had burned out in the heat pump itself. He quickly replaced the motor with another one so we could have heat but as he was leaving, he said he was not happy with the motor he installed and would come back out Monday or Tuesday to replace it with a better one. How many people would do this? I already gave Mike and Action Air a review for the last time he came out but I have to do it again. I cannot say enough about Mike's honesty and quality of work. Mike is exceptional and I would not hesitate to recommend him for any A/C/heating repairs.

In the middle of the night it sounded like something exploded on my roof. It was the motor and housing for one of our two air handlers in our attic above my bedroom for our heat pumps. We have two Trane heat pumps, one which was installed two years ago. So we automatically called the company that installed the last unit. We had a great experience with them when they replaced the heat pump. They had a service tech come out to our house the next morning but because it wasn't the heat pump they installed, the tech charged us a $100 service fee just to come out. We were unaware of this fee until he was leaving.. To make matters worse, he left the parts in the attic and told us that they would have to "order" new parts and the ladtime would be r 10-14 days, He gave me a quote for close to $1100. None of that sounded right so I called Action Air. I spoke to Mike on the phone. He was out within an hour. I told him about my experience with the other "reputable company" and he told me that all they do is replace and sell new heat pumps but they don't like to repair. I wish they had told me this. It all made sense. Mike showed us exactly what was wrong and took the time to explain what he needed to do. He took wheel and the motor and was back in less than an hour with new parts. He had it up and working for half of the cost the other company quoted me the same day. I only wish I had called Mike first and saved myself the headache and the $100 service fee. I will recommend Mike Hall and Action Air to my firends and neighbors We own two houses and will need to replace an old heat pumps this year. Mike will be my first call. It was so refreshing to have someone come out who was on time, knew what he was doing, was polite and honest. I highly recommend Action Air.

He didn't even charge me for coming out since Im a member of Angie's list! I will definitely call him again this spring to do a routine check! He's just fabulous.

"Called them Dec. 31st (New Years' Eve) and they came out on January 2. Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable. He spent some time on the roof, figured out why it wasn't working well, (a plastic bag had gotten sucked into the coil from the outside.) I had gone on Angie's list and found a coupon for a free trip charge. Mentioned that when making the initial call. Mike was familiar with the coupon, and wrote "Angie's List" on the trip charge line. I would definitely recommend this company, would use them again.

I was very pleased with Action Air and especially with Mike. He came out within the ETA provided me, fixed the unit and didn't try and sell me a new unit, and explained what was actually happening....which accurately described what my unit was doing prior to the fix. I feel like I just received my last Christmas present for the year!!!! I will call him later in the year when it gets time to check out my A/C unit prior to getting into the hot Phoenix summer.

Called Action Air on what was going to be the coldest night of the year to repair the heater. Mike came out the same day, at a convenient time. He also called when he was on the way. He examined the Heater and discovered the problem within 10 minutes. Fixed in another 10 minutes. Accepted the Angies coupon and charged only for the job (not the service fee).

Overall, it was a good experiende. He was dependable and fixed the problem at a reasonable price.

The drip was fixed but the work required only ten minutes and I was charged $105.00. When I asked if I had been given the Angie's List discount, I was told I had and that otherwise, the charge would have been $170.00. The parts charge was $20 so that leaves the rest for labor. $170 for ten minutes of work is not reasonable.

The service guy actually showed up early (that's a first!). He was a lovely man, very professional and full of great tips to improve the airflow of my A/C unit. He spent 45 minutes checking everything out in detail and didn't charge me a dime!! He told me everything looked good, I just needed to tweek the air vents (which he did for me) and use a different type of filter. I will use Action Air for all my A/C issues in the future!

We were told by two other companies that our ac unit would need to be replaced, so we were getting estimate on replacement units. Action Air had been recommended to us by a friend. They were prompt and professional. Instead of just quoting us a replacement unit they actually ended up looking at what we were told was the issue with our air. They explained to us that in fact our ac unit could be repaired and that we didn't in fact need to replace it. They answered all of our questions and explained to us why the reasoning given to us by previous companies was actually false. They didn't have the part needed with them but left to get it and was back and fixed within 3 hours!!! What could have been a cost of up to $10,000 for a new unit, ended up costing us $500 to repair and our ac unit is working awesome!!! Highly recommended!!!!!

Action Air delivered a service/repair estamate within 30 minutes of calling them over to repair our AC unit. The job was completed in a timely manor. Took extra steps to ensure contined service life on the unit. A++++ Service. Highly recomend Action Air Inc!

They were fabulous. They were very knowledgeable. They didn’t try to sell me things that were unnecessary. They were very ethical. They gave great advice and suggestions. I appreciated the honesty. It was amazing that they didn’t try and do services weren’t necessary. I would definitely be using them as my air conditioning service people from now on, because of all that. It was a very good service. In Phoenix sometimes, it is hard to find good, honest air conditioning people and they definitely were.
