I have been a patient of Dr. Carroll's since 2006.  I highly recommend him as a Primary Care Physician.
Appointments are easy to make.  If I am ill or injured, he sees me the same day well over 90% of the time.  Routine visits are normally within a day or two.  The office and medical staff members are courteous and efficient.  I've never had any issues with insurance or billings.
His office is conveniently located in a medical park on the NE corner of Chandler and Dobson RDs.  Parking is literally in front of his door.  His office is modern, clean and he has always been at the forefront of technology and electronic medical records.  He stays current with his medical knowledge and is judicious with his referrals to specialists.  Dr. Carroll does an excellent job of keeping a 360 view of all of your medical care; including other specialists.  
From a male point of view, he has a great bedside manner.  He is personable, but focused on the appointment and the reason why you are there.  He conservative with medications and relies on gold standard drugs rather than pushing what the drug company representative just brought in.  He's conscious of your time and appointment s are prompt, efficient and rarely over 30-45 min, depending upon you level of care.  He is very prompt at responding to questions or concerns outside of the office visit.
Finally, while he obviously has to make a profit as medical provider, he has maintained a steady focus on providing what is best for his patients instead of focusing solely on dollars.  You will definitely not be another medical record number if you choose Dr. Carroll as your primary care provider.  Instead, he will truly be your advocate to the obtain the best medical care and to stay well.

Dr. Carroll practices what he preaches in delivering excellent medical care.  What he writes on his website and Facebook page is what you can expect to experience in person.  He shares his office with a cardiologist, but the two practices don't interfere with each other.  The office is new and well-equipped.  His office staff is friendly and very helpful.  I've have read a few reviews on other sites that complain about his staff.  Disregard them.  If you treat his staff with courtesy and respect, they will go out of their way to help you as an established patient.  He is very easy to see and if you are sick or injured, he will see you the same day that you call.  His wait times are minimal and on occasion, you may wait 15 minutes.  I consider him to be a  very punctual doctor.  His bedside manner may seem "quick" or "abrupt" at times, but he is fast with his diagnosis and they are accurate.  I am there to get well quickly, not make a new friend.  Once you get used to it, you will realize that he does have a lot of empathy and compassion for his patients.  His Facebook posts display how deeply he is committed to providing the very best care for his patients.  He stays very current with medical developments and best practices.  When appropriate, he will refer you to a specialist.  He is located just north of Chandler Regional Hospital and can manage your in-hospital care if you are ever admitted to that facility.  His prescriptions are conservative and appropriate to the condition or illness.  His aim is to get you well quickly, but he is also mindful of your comfort and will prescribe medication for symptom relief.  He has a PA, Barbara Regis, who is equally competent and has a wonderful bedside manner.  If you like a doctor to spend time with you and get you well, Barbara does both well.  Dr. Carroll takes his role as a primary care physician to heart and wants to be a team player with your specialists.  I have zero reservations in recommending him to other Angie's List members.

He provides prompt and good service.  He explains things well.  It's pretty easy to make an appointment.  As a doctor his punctuality is excellent.  Billing is excellent.

Appointment was easy. Had to wait about 30 min past my appointment before I was seen which I was not thrilled with. The med student who saw me first and the Dr were both good and they performed a strep test that took 10 min here where it took 4 days for results at my last Dr's office. Overall a good experience.
