I started using them about six years ago. I have always been pleased with their work. My pet has to be sedated. The groomers are different all the time, but it is a different veterinarian. My pets don't seem to mind being brought there. They don't tug or pull away or anything like that. It seems to go pretty good. Their quality is slightly better than average. They are very responsive. When I have a problem they always get me in. He is always ready to be picked up when he should be.
Having said that, Harley and I ended up seeing one of the other vets called "Dr Kristi" for a yearly check up, vaccines, and the annual parasite tests that are usually recommended. The first visit with the dr was very pleasant. The front staff seemed very professional, and did not try to "sell" all their services, they more so just told me what was recommended, and said to do whatever I could that fit within my budget. I want to say the Physical Examination and office call was about $43, and each vaccine costed around $8 (including Rabies, which was surprising). They're parasite tests were also lower than most of the other clinics i called around too ($35 heart worm blood test and $20 for the stool test). The office seemed to stress cleanliness, and friendly personalities.
The vet , referred to as "Dr Christi" was very kind, and thorough in her examination with my boy. She did notice something wrong with his teeth, which i kind of saw coming since they were starting to turn to brown and his breath smelled terrible. She recommended a dental cleaning, and said that they had a promotion during that month which decreased the cost a little bit. I had a good vibe with this dr, mainly because she didn't push or guilt trip me into getting the cleaning done, she just kept insisting she highly recommended it, but offered other options in case my financial situation couldn't support the teeth cleaning procedure.
The following week I got the dental work done, which included additional blood tests, supportive fluids, and a couple other things that I can't remember without seeing my bill. I paid no second office call, and the total bill ended up a little bit under what they had on the estimate. In addition, i was able to meet with the dr before i left harley with them, and met with her again when i picked him up later that afternoon. One of their staff, a technician i presume, called me on my cell when harley woke up from the sedatives. I was fine with the bill, considering how much work was done on him (the itemized invoice filled up an entire page). After pricing out other vet offices, I would say these people were about on par with everyone else. The following day I received a phone call to check on him, and was even able to call the dr again a couple days later when i had questions about his diet.
Overall, these people seem to be sincere about their love for animals. They do charge for the services that they perform, but I didn't have any surprises on my bill. The price was very reasonable considering veterinary prices these days. The hospital seemed to be modern, but most of all the staff and the dr were what made me decide to continue using them. As a business professional myself, I appreciate experience, passion for your work, and overall authenticity. These people possessed all of these traits. If you're looking for dirt cheap spay/neuter clinic prices, go somewhere else. But if you're looking for a reasonable and caring vet (and staff), then I would recommend you bring your pet here.
