Odell Complete Concrete

David was polite, Professional, and great to work with.   I did some of the work mysellf and I wanted to make sure i was doing it right.  One call to David he stopped by latter that Saturday afternoon. gave me some suggestions and could not be happier with the outcome.   I would definitely recommend Odell Concrete for your project. 

I couldn't be happier with the professionalism displayed by David & his crew.  I had a few design changes which David went over with me & also came up with a couple I hadn't thought of to maximize overall usage & curb appeal.  David & crew arrived at site on or before schedule.  We are very happy and plan to use Odell again for more home improvements.

Wow, what an easy backyard remodel they made for us - contacted them, came right out and gave us an estimate. Started work about a week later...arrived on time, cleaned up everyday. When we ran into unplanned "issues" they let us know right away, told us the change in plans and pricing and everything ran so smooth. Too bad other Angie's list contractors can't take some of their professionalism and just basic common sense in how things are supposed to be done!
If you have concerns about hiring a contractor that can do everything - Don't worry about Odell - they ROCK!!!

It was a positive experience. They gave me a fair quote in a timely manner and they showed up on time. I just had a budget issue so I did not use them.

Everything went well, great job done. Dave was very good about answering all my questions. It wasn't´t the best price estimate I received, but when I talked to Dave before the job began, he seemed to really know his stuff, and based on other reviews I read here, I decided to choose him. Also, he is just around the corner from where I live, so this made it easier on both of us.  He started when he said he would; he and his assistant worked really hard, and he finished when he said he would. I was delighted because I have a little dog who needs to go outside to the patio. My only complaint is that my white fence and patio glass doors got splattered with mud and the fence with cement. Dave cleaned up everything outside the patio, but the mess inside was left for me. Overall, I do recommend him.

We were very happy with the concrete work estimate, the plan for the small project, and the completed project itself.  I would definitely consider Odell Complete Concrete for future projects at our home in Fountain Valley, CA.  David Odell was very punctual to meet for the initial work estimate and his estimate was comparable to another estimate received previously this year.  For the small project proposed, Odell did NOT require an 'up front' deposit that smaller companies sometimes ask for in order to schedule a job. 
While our concrete work was relatively small in scope, we were looking for a licensed and insured concrete contractor that would give serious consideration to our backyard improvement project.  Last  year, we had to have 4 large trees including a huge Ficus and even larger Brazilian Pepper Tree cut down with stump grinding because their roots had started to lift the backyard cinder block wall fence.
After waiting about 6 months to see if any settling would occur (none that we could tell), we wanted to apply a cosmetic repair to the block wall fence by having small 1/4 inch or so cracks between the blocks filled with mortar on both sides of the fence. Otherwise, we were told last year that fully removing and replacing the lifted block wall fence would cost about $2000 for each of the sections.  Having the cracks filled with mortar on both sides was more cost effective, especially since the amount of block wall separation was fairly small and actually unnoticeable after the cracks were filled. 
The modification of our patio drain system by adding 2 new drains was also needed because a low spot existed in our patio that allowed an inch or so of water to stand and this led to a lot brown and green algae growth that we wanted to eliminate. The new and replaced concrete surfaces matched the original surfaces in form and texture.  One section in the patio had a small pebble stone finish and another section had a pitted salt finish.
  
The entire project was completed in only 3 days elapsed time and the work site was cleaned up daily.  Odell Complete Concrete did a great job and the estimated cost was what we paid plus a small change order of $50 for additional concrete that I requested after our first planning meeting.

Very professional.Everything went according to the plan we laid out at the onset. The work was completed on schedule and with no cost overruns.
David is easy to talk to and intuitive as to our needs. I provided detailed drawings and specs but allowed him flexibility to improve on my plans. He did not disappoint me. David and his crews were always punctual, they worked harmoniously, cleanly and professionally. Never a mess left behind. I would definitely have them back for future projects.

We hired another contractor in October to remove our old driveway and patio slab and pour new concrete.  After 2 months all we had was gravel and dirt where the driveway had been and only 1/4 of the patio poured.  In addition the guy ran out with our $$.   To complete the jop we hired David Odell and I am very happy we did.  David gave us a very good price for completing the job and he finished everything in only two days.  He reframed the entire drive way and remaining parts of the patio and poured a nice smooth concrete slab.  He did a fantastic job.

We were very impressed with David's services.  We didn't quite know what we wanted and David made several trips to our house to consult with us, presenting several different pricing and design options.  David brought in several brick colors and laid out several brick patterns for us.  We settled on a half-brick herringbone overlay with a different color brick border.  
When the brick supplier told David it would be a long delay in getting the bricks cut, David cut them himself over a several day period.  David did all of the work himself (with a helper), and was very diligent.  I was a stickler for having the lines right, and was pleasantly surprised to find that he is just as much of a stickler for having clean lines (never needed to say anything or correct anything).  David always showed up when he said he would, and we hardly knew he was there.  He finished on time as promised.  His work was beautiful!  It exceeded our expectations and we have been showing it off to anyone who will look.  He didn't hit us with any hidden fees (in fact the cost was lower than proposed).
We have already hired him to install a barbeque island for us and to renovate our backyard block wall.  He is highly recommended!

We found David Odell through Angie's list after getting bids for the same jobs from another contractor (friend referral).   His reviews looked good, and his website showed great work and had links to his current license and insurance. 
David answered on the first call and we scheduled the job walk through a few days later.    David showed up promptly on time (unlike the other guy).  He was a friendly, clean cut professional that patiently answered all of my questions.   We agreed on the work to be done and he was able to promptly return a very reasonable quote.   We agreed on the quote and set a date for the work to begin just a few days later.
He and his crew showed up punctually on the first day of the job and was able to accomplish the dirt removal, the sprinkler relocation, the concrete framing , the re-bar, and the removal of the sewer surround in the driveway in just one day.  They worked quickly and quietly and they cleaned up after the day's work so well that you could hardly tell so much activity had taken place earlier.
The next day, they returned and poured the concrete for both the sidewalk and the driveway, and finished patching the garage.  Once again they worked quickly and quietly, and cleaned up so there was hardly a trace.
David returned on a Sunday to finish out the the saw cuts in the concrete sidewalk.  He was finished in a short time and the work that he did looks fantastic!
We would like to say that the overall experience was very pleasant, with speedy service and high quality work at a great price.  We would definitely work with David Odell again!

Dave Odell was on time for all appointments and showed up on time to do the work.  He was knowledgeable and professional.  The wall looks wonderful and the new blocks fit right in with the older ones.  We will be using Odel's servicesl again to lay a concret foundation in our back yard for a new storage shed.  Great customer service!

Our backyard is only accessible from our master bedroom.  We had nothing but weeds and junk because it is such a hassle to take care of.  We decided to see if we would get a concrete patio installed.

We called Odell Concrete to get a bid for our backyard patio.  Dave Odell came out to give us a bid on the backyard.  He was on time and extremely professional.  We decided to go with Dave Odell because he sounded like he was the most prepared and the most knowledgeable for what we needed.  As for price, his was similar to other quotes we received.

The work was started on Dec. 26 and was finished on Jan 1.  Dave and his crew were on time all the time and got to work right away.  The crew worked beyond our expectation keeping everything clean throughout the process (they had to go through our neighbor?s yard to reach our patio).  The concrete slab turned out great! I am so glad we chose Odell to do our patio.

David Odell (owner) was very professional. In every phase of the project he kept al  appointments on time & was very reasonable for his services. It was refreshing to deal with an honest & reliable contractor.
