Lyon Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Brad Lyon is such a nice guy. This was initial visit for a stray cat that adopted me. The cat's age is estimated at 5 years. I was impressed by how accommodating the cat was for Dr. Lyon. He would hardly let me pick him up, but he let Dr. Lyon open his mouth, move him around, etc. He definately seems to have the and quot;animal whispererand quot; touch and he has a great bedside manner as well. Again, just a super nice guy as well as very professional.
The clinic itself was clean and did not have the unpleasant smell I associate with many veterinary clinics. The staff members were all firendly.
I returned in February of the same year for another visit with the same pet ($92.70), then again in March ($138.87) and May ($73.37 and $27.86). On two of these return visits my pet was attended by Dr. Jennifer Mullaly instead of Dr. Lyon. Dr. Mullaly is nice and I'm sure she is a good veterinarian as well. However, she did not instill the same confidence in me as Dr. Lyon with her bedside manner but she is still very young and this skill will no doubt come in time. Make no mistake, I don't mean that I in any way distrust her abilities and would not hesitate to go to her, but all things being equal, I would prefer to schedule appointments on days when Dr. Lyon is seeing patients.
The only downside to my experience has been access to their facility. They are located on a busy highway near a busy intersection. Trying to turn left from their driveway onto the highway can be a harrowing ordeal. As long as they are at this location there's probably nothing they can do about it - just be especially careful or play it safe and turn right out of their driveway and make a left at the next light.

The surgery went great and my pet healed nicely. Their prices are very reasonable and the clinic is very clean. The staff are great and they have good customer service.
