After experiencing repeated delays in construction, poor craftsmanship from some contractors, and exorbitant invoices (that differed greatly from the original quotes), we were leery (and weary) about having to find someone to pave our 385-foot, curved and steep driveway. After consulting family, friends and Home Advisor - with little luck, I began reading reviews of contractors in the area. The comments regarding River Valley Asphalt Maintenance were overwhelmingly positive. Mr. Townley met my husband at our home the day after we contacted him. He measured our driveway, discussed the various options for covering our long, rock and dirt drive, and offered his professional opinion on the best course of action. We did our homework before beginning this project. Two other contractors came to the house, measured the property, and provided estimates. Mr. Townley, though not the least expensive - nor the most, was our choice for his professional demeanor, quality of work (based on photos we had seen), and his honesty. He told us grading would take place Wednesday, forms and more prep work would be completed Thursday, and concrete would be poured Friday. It was, and at the cost, he originally quoted. When he was not on site, he followed up with us on the phone. Go with Ron Townley; you will be beyond satisfied.
